Summary: The Missing 'Link'
Review: I tried to like the Matrix Reloaded and watched it twice just to make sure that I wasn't buying into the hype. Well, I didn't buy into the hype. This movie is really mediocre compared to the first chapter which was in a word, outstanding.

Reloaded has extremely weak writing and I was very surprised that all the sets looked, well, like sets! They looked really cheap, especially the mansion scene. I kept thinking about the cost that you know was spent, but somehow just didn't come across as - real. This applies to the 'holes' in the skin. They looked so bad, like something a kid added to Trinity and Neo's arms with crazy glue.

Lastly, the writing. This story had elements that could have really risen to the occasion but instead fell flat. The character of Link was so annoying. He NEVER gave straight answers, unlike his predecessor who was quick, precise and paid attention. This guy was like, "just follow the sirens", "oopse, those twin things are after Morpheus and Trinity." No wonder Morpheus told him to trust him and at one point even asked, "Are you paying attention Link?" The guy was a dud as well as this film.

Unfortunately this chapter is just a mere shadow of the original. This is just another sequal that didn't live up to its predecessor.

Summary: Bittersweet
Review: I loved The Matrix. This movie was jam packed full of stuff we have never seen before and brilliant dialogue spouting line after line of philosophy inspiring a new truth 'What is the Matrix'. Couldn't wait for the sequel, but we've seen what they have done with sequels before right?

Then The Matrix was partialy blamed for the Colombine tragedy,(which is plain stupid) and they have taken this to heart and suddenly Neo is dressed in long robes of a priest rather than the long leather coat and don't blink or you'll miss the guns... they just aren't used anymore. Ho-hum brought to you by Responible Film-making of the 21st Century.

New characters are introduced and not fully explained then killed off and your left wondering why bother?

The fight of the 100 Smiths was incredible at the beginning and then just dragged out and the high way scene just made you feel like you'd seen it all before - you did - better in fact - IN THE FIRST ONE.

Yep - I'm dissapointed - still I'll have it in my collection in the 'What could've been' section.

Summary: What Happened?
Review: What happened here? I loved the first Matrix film. Great plot, great acting...spectacular film. Then came the sequel, and, well...Matrix Reloaded was quite a disappointment in comparison to the first film. The entire time I was watching the film I found nothing that really grabbed me as a viewer and made me think "WOW!" Actually, my response was more like an unenthralled "whoa". Save a few well designed action and fx sequences, I couls barely keep interest in this movie. Perhaps three will be less of a frustrating disappointment than this sequel, but after this one...I'm almost afraid to even try the third. I give this film 2 stars.

Summary: What...
Review: I have one question for the cast and crew for Matrix Reloaded. Why did you do to the series? The frist one was off the hook, and when heard there was going to be 2 more films I was excited, so I preordered it for 10 bucks. But when i was watching it i was thinking why in Gods name did i buy it, OK the highway seen was good, but the sex part was a waste of time. I just hope the 3rd is a pick better. But DO NOT BUY IT UNLESS YOU ARE A HUGE MATRIX FAN.

Summary: A Festival in Special FX...
Review: In Matrix Reloaded the struggle for mankind continues where Neo (Keanu Reeves) has been elevated to a more divine position by Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and his followers. This time they are short on time, since they only have 72 hours until a massive number of probes will reach the underground city of Zion. Before this Neo must get into the Matrix where some strange occurrences have been observed by the crew on the Nebuchadnezzar, the hovercraft, which leads to some visually stunning scenes. In the Matrix Neo seeks out the Oracle in order to find some answers to some questions that they have; however, the answers lead to further questions which turn into a maze of problems. Matrix Reloaded uses some amazing special effects that cost a fortune to produce, however, the beginning of the film has some troubling transitions and scenes that causes awkwardness in the storyline. These clumsy cinematic moments are temporarily saved by the special effects, but in the long run the film suffers from a cinematically congested introduction that is full of inelegant transitions between scenes and characters. In the end, the audience is presented with a story that offers some valuable lessons and quick paced entertainment, but it does not measure up with the forerunning story.

Summary: Matrix Regurgitated
Review: Crap. Plain and simple. Long speeches, cardboard characters, unfathomable plot twists. YUK. I'm sure there are those out there ready to crucify me but come on....I guess the new Star Wars films are good, too? The original Matrix is a fantastic, fresh, sci-fi romp. Little or none of that made it to part two. Those that absolutely LOVED the 1st film will no doubt enjoy this mess. Of course, they also bought that hideous video game....but the rest of us will yawn and say "Why was this such a great franchise?".

Summary: what happened?
Review: what the hell happened?!
the first flick was pretty damn good, and then they throw this flaming pile of trash at us.
what? just because we get an amazing car chase scene and a couple cool fights, it makes the horrible dialogue and the tired story acceptable?

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T BUY THIS!!!

Summary: Not worth the time or money
Review: This movie tried way too hard to be deep and meaningful. It felt really forced and it didn't keep my interest at all. I loved the first one so incredibly much, this was a major disapointment. Sure, you can dig into it and find all the profound things you want but the movie just didn't go anywhere. The graphics and effects were way too good for the poor quality of the story... Skip this one and go to the third.

Summary: Not as good as the first Matrix's plot, but still awesome
Review: The plot of the first Matrix was great. It made sense to me (a big science fiction fan). If you compare every aspect of Matrix Reloaded with other movies, it's better than like 95% of them (IMO). The plot isn't as good as the first Matrix (not as satisfying), but the special effects are outstanding and brilliant. If you're the kind of person who isn't willing to take the brain power to "understand a movie," Matrix Reloaded will be boring.
