Review: Although not the most original science fiction film, Pitch Black is a blast to watch. From the at times disorienting tinting of the early scenes to the excellent use of sound effects, Pitch Black is a worthy addition to any science fiction lover's collection. The creatures themselves are fast, viscious and scary. While there could be more character development, there is enough so that we actually care about the criminal's apparent redemption. This one is worth watching again and again. It's destined to be one of the most under-appreciated films of the year.

Summary: If you didn't see Pitch Black, then you missed a great movie
Review: Not since Starship Troopers have I gone to a movie and been totally impressed with both the special effects and plot. This movie was the Sci-Fi sleeper of 2000. The plot twists were an actual surprise and you felt something for the characters. And the aliens were completely original. The actors actually acted as opposed to most Sci-Fi filsm were the cast thinks the special effects and story means that they don't have to work. I've been waiting for this to come out on DVD for months. This is one disc that won't sit on your rack collecting dust after you watch it the first time. If you haven't seen Pitch Black ... buy it. If you have seen Pitch Black ... buy it. If you want to be pleasantly surprised .... buy it.

Summary: A pleasant surprise!
Review: I went into this film with NO expectations, and was very happily entertained. Pitch Black echoes many, many other sci-fi movies, but has a unique tone that sets it apart. Vin Diesel has a definite screen presence that the director exploits to good effect. The final half hour has some nice tense moments. With the scarcity of good, serious horor/sci- fi nowadays, I highly reccommend this one to genre fans.

Review: who ever doesn't buy this movie is missing out on some really good acting and THIS movie. it's all fresh and original and i must admit that the story line seem familiar but what story line hasn't? so just go now and order. it'll be worth your money. i guaruantee it.

Review: This is the best sci-fi/horror I have ever seen. It has a well thought out plot, an ending that was extremly unexpected, and it has great cgi (Computer Generated Images) that is well sewn in to the live action a definate must see.

Review: I went into this film with low expectations, and came out absolutely thrilled. Of all the movies I've seen this year, Pitch Black has the best payoff. Not terribly original, this is a classic "guess who gets picked off next" horror flick, but rather than an axe-wielding psycho, we're treated to some incredibly interesting (though purely derivative) flesh-eaters. See if you can pick out the "red-shirted security officers" before people start getting chowed upon.Watch it with the lights out. Pitch Black'll make ya . . . jump! jump!
