Summary: SUPERB
Review: I have seen all three movies and have two on DVD. The story of the Matrix has been superbly put together from the beginning of DISC 1 to the end of DISC 3. The story line was great. If you truly understand the story of the Matrix, and played the game and watched the animatrix. Everything ties together and the ending leaves nothing to the imagination. A must to complete any DVD library

Summary: Horrid
Review: I cannot believe anyone would call this movie fun. Granted, the first film was a good roller coaster ride and I do have that DVD in my own collection. Reloaded was mediocre at best, but I also added that one to the set. But Revolutions? It will not be making its way into my home. What a shoddy bit of film-making this is.

As I was watching this in the theatre and dozing off every five minutes or so I just kept saying to myself, "Why, oh why did they have to go and make sequels to a film that came across as a one-shot?" Of course, the answer is money, but you would think that the Wachowski Bros. could have at the very least put some effort into the plotlines of the sequels for the fans. All flash and no substance is really what makes these films flounder. Reloaded and Revolutions are far from what their respective titles imply. Rather, they are both hollow and hackneyed. In my eyes, unmitigated disasters.

Summary: MORE CREDIT NEEDED!!!!
Review: Ok, so this was the the final story to the one of the best trilogies of all time. Why are people making it out to be a horrible movie? It isn't. What I don't get is why lord of the rings, an ok, way to long movie, with ok actors and an ok story are being praised so highly. I dont see any of the hobits going through kung fu training!!! Anyway IGNORE all of the critics { they are seriously just spitful} and see/ buy when it comes out this movie. It is definatly going to be a must have for any movie fan.

Summary: Don't bother.
Review: I'm a huge fan of the first Matrix, but the second movie was just a warning of things to come. This movie is shoddy. It lacks the enigmas seen in the first movie and the storylines were horrid. I only saw this one so I can get some good sleep in. This movie is definitely a dying gasp from Neo (Keanu Reeves).

Summary: Definatly a disappointment, but better than the critics said
Review: "Welcome to the real world"

When The Matrix came out in 1999, it was a whole new world that was opened up to all of us, a huge world a of special effects and science fiction. No one could even imagine how big of an impact it would have on our culture. It developed a cult-like following and changed the way we looked at science-fiction movies. To say the least, this was a landmark movie in terms of special effects and imagination. With all the fan push for a sequel, the writing/directing team, The Wachowski Brothers, couldnt help but put out a sequel. Maybe even two.

"Hmm......Upgrades"

When The Matrix Reloaded opened in May 2003, people were astonished at the special effects, but even more so in the down-fall of the story line. Not to say that it is a bad movie, its just that it didnt come close to the original. Still, it hauled in record-breaking amounts of money, so people could not even imagine how big the fan push was going to be for the third installment in the series.

"I dont have time for this s***"

And neither did the fans of these movies. When The Matrix Revolutions opened in November 2003, the critics shunned the disappointing finale of the grand epic. This time around "it just ended up being a big shoot-out"-(Richard Roeper, Ebert and Roeper) -and it did. This was a fitting ending to the epic, but the potential that the film series had was so much better than the sequels that came out. It just could have been so much better.

The story is that we are living in a world made by computers(The Matrix), and that it is the idea is implanted into our minds by robots who have taken over the earth. Just a small band of humans(25,000) are still alive and live in an underground city called Zion. When "Mr. Anderson(Keanu Reeves) aka Neo is taken out of The Matrix, he meets Morpheus(Lawrence Fishbourne) and Trinity(Carrie-Anne Moss), who are freedom-fighters, trying to free the people from the control of the Matrix. You can "elude" gravity in the Matrix, making it possible to run on walls, jump very high, ect. Morpheus thinks Neo is "the one" who is predicted to set everyone in the Matrix free. They are opposed by agents, who are programs trying to keep the world as it is, particuarly Agent Smith(Hugo Weaving). The Sepuels follow the story of the Freedom-fighters in Zion fighting the machines coming to destroy Zion and also to destroy the Matrix.

This is the grand epic of our time, the only thing wrong with it is that the filmmakers didnt use the material to full potential.

Summary: WHY DOES IT HAVE TO END HERE?!
Review: The matrix revolutions is the greatest action movie of all time. This film is way better than Lord of the Rings 3. No matter what peoople say about the acting, effects, and story it is still the greatest movie ever. I recently read the review for the DVD and they gave the audio and picture quality 10 out of 10 witch is awesome. This is a masterpiece movie and will remain a classic forever. Although it will take three times to watch the movie and fully understand it, at the end it is worth it. The end is fine. Everything is answered but you have to pay attention and some of the answers will be in the first two movies. This will always remain my favorite movie and trligy of all time.

By the way, it wups the Lord of the Rings butt by far! Lord of the Rings suck

Summary: WHY ARE YOU SCARED?
Review: It seems there is no middle ground with the Matrix series. You either love it or hate it. For me the bottom line is these movies were FUN, after all isn't that what going to the movies is all about - having fun?

I have heard all the opinions, coments, comparisons, analogies, theories, ect. It's good when a movie can make people think, if only for a short while. Even if we did not like the trilogy, we were still talking about it, analizing the plot, rewriting the script in our heads trying to figure out ways we think the movies could have been better. On this alone the movies are worth your time.

Many people have drawn on the philosophy of the Matrix citing arguments put forth by Descarte, Plato, Aristotle, and others. Another intriging parrallel has been made with the Matrix and the Bible. Finally some have recognized the influence of individuals like Joseph Campbell and books like Holly Blood, Holly Grail. I am quite familiar with all these as are the Watchowski brothers. It is only normal for them to draw upon these learned things for inspiration.

We need more movies like this, itelligent movies, movies that arouse the curiousity in people forcing thought. The stage has now been set for future filmakrs, it will be intersting to see how much the Matrix will influence them.

Summary: The Matrix Revolting
Review: Before I start off, I want to say that I have no problem with anyone on here that loved the film. The fact that I am even taking to time to write this should show that I love the matrix world. Now with that done I can say without a doubt I have never been this disappointed in a movie triolgy since the second coming of Star Wars. I saw both movies only once and was totally bummed out. Just like Star Wars I & II the Matrix saga's could have been so much better. At first I thought it was the anticipation of having to wait so long to see them. Then I thought it might be that I just didn't get them. Then I finally came to the realization that they were just crappy copies of the orginal. Yeah there was some great moments and yeah there was some cool gee wheez things, but if thats all it took to make a great movie then "Waterworld" would have been a masterpiece. The only silver lining in this whole thing is that fact that we have Lord of The Rings to fall back on. Thank God for Peter Jackson

Summary: really really really bad
Review: What a shame to end the the 3 film series with this confused excuse for a film. There was an ending wasn't there? Did I have an out of body experience and miss it?
