Rating: Summary: Movies 5 stars. Re-release AGAIN?!?! No stars Review: I might as well give my say as well. I'm tired of VHS. It's past time to release this excelent series on DVD. I know, I heard that Lucas says no DVD until they are all released. This puts the DVD release date in early 2006. That is crazy. Put them out NOW!!!
Rating: Summary: What a Joke Review: I recently got the Trilogy and first thing I wanted to see was the preview of Episode 2 in which was so I thoght gonna be good. Boy was I wrong. It showed a quick inerview of Gorge Lucus and a C-3PO's voice Anthony Daniels. That was It. It was so bad I could have puked. Man I'm the sucker for buying it. Please forgive me when I say that it was poor. For as rich as Geroge Lucus is I would have thought that he would make the preview better then this
Rating: Summary: Vader's Lightsaber promo Review: Have you bought the rerelease of the Star Wars trilogy that contains a playing card called "Darth Vader's Lightsaber"? I would like to buy it, so if you have the card, please contact me. I don't want to buy the trilogy because I already own another version. The movies are great of course, but I don't see the need for another rerelease. Where's the DVD version? It's already years late...
Rating: Summary: The Force Will Be With You...Always! Review: Yes, George Lucas has done it again. And why not? This is one of the greatest trilogies ever made. No question. For any dedicated Star Wars fan, the extra Episiode II footage is worth buying the set again and while you're at it get the widescreen edition. There's just something about watching a movie in widescreen, and to Star Wars there is no exception. Also there are TEN, yes that's right TEN additonal, never before seen, cut from the original movie until now, fotage in Episode IV: A New Hope. And to top that all off, the way they put the boxed set together, along with the artwrok on the box, blows all the other cases away. Whether you saw the movies when they were released or you've never even seen Star Wars before, you can't pass up the opportunity to own one of the greatest trilogies of all time!
Rating: Summary: Don't ge exited, you've seen this... Review: However don't curse George Lucas either, it's extreamly common for videos to be re-released with new packaging and that's all this is. This is only a ploy to entice people to repurchase something they already own if you're stupid enough to believe that because it contains a trailer for Episode II it's an entirely different trilogy. This is just the special edition in a different pakage. Did anyone think the DVD may not be out because Lucas wants it to be everything people expect and that he is so tied up in making Episode II & III that he hasn't had the time??? So if you own these movies, don't buy them. If you don't, they're worht it @ thirty lousy bucks considering the DVD's are probably a while in the future.
Rating: Summary: qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm Review: ok, I understand that people who own the Trilogy already might be disappointed by this VHS release. But I'm sure Episode II and III will be released on DVD . And then they'll also release the other films on DVD for you whiners. Anyway, the reason this Trilogy is being released so often, is simply that it's so good. George Lucas wants everyone to experience it, and I'm sure people who liked last year's Episode I will want to see it. People who think they have to buy it because it's STAR WARS, are crazy. Why do you have to buy this if you already own it? George wants to do something truly spectacular with star wars on dvd. I prefer to wait for that than get a crappy transfer with crappy features.
Rating: Summary: A welcome re-release Review: Original Star Wars fans should keep in mind that the original trilogy was not available on VHS at the time of the theatrical release of Phantom Menace. No doubt this movie created a lot of new, young fans who would want to own the originals on tape. Also, this is a welcome re-release for those of us who's previous copies were unfortunately damaged during a move across the country, like myself. It is nice to have this opportunity to own these fine movies again and the EP2 teaser is just a fringe benefit. I don't see the re-release of this set as a ploy of any kind. Simply, if you already have it, don't buy it. But for people like me and all those new fans, order it today!
Rating: Summary: Star Wars Review: Star Wars is the BEST EVER!!! And who ever thinks otherwise or brings it down with out a GOOD reason besides crying about how it has been release and re-released or about how they thought that Jar-Jar Binks was a useless character needs to get a FREAKING JOB!!!!!!!!!!! Just accept the fact that it will never die no matter how much you cry about pathetic stuff! Your just making yourself seem lower than what you already are! I also understand how you feel about Star Wars NOT being on DVD and I think thats a SHAME! I to want to experience it as it was ment to be!!! But complaining about little petty stuff like the re-releases is such a waist of your pathetic time and use it to get All the Star Wars movies on DVD!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A NICE ITEM FOR COLLECTORS Review: This addition is a bit of a tease, its a nice collectors item. However the Episode 2 footage is poor and doesnt give you anything we have not seen already. I hate to say it, but its an easy way to make money. If course I bought it for my collection. Star Wars is a great movie and the box is very nice too. Dont buy it if your expecting something new.
Rating: Summary: Special Edition and Widescreen Together Review: When the Special Edition VHS came through before Episode I was in theatres, I wasn't careful with my choice and ended up with a full-screen set. I'm thrilled to see widescreen (the only way to watch anything) and special edition together. Of course, all of us with the DVD players are anxious for that format, but in the mean time, it's good to have another -- very affordable -- VHS set to watch to death!
