Summary: Great Gilliam, Batman!
Review: In typical Terry Gilliam style, this movie is a visual feast of dark images of a decaying world. The cleaver script engages the viewer by questioning what is real and what events might be the result of "Mental divergence". Mind you, this film is not for everyone. I would only recommend it if you enjoyed David Fincher movies or Dark City or other movies of that perspective. The cast is incredably strong, and the musical score adds to the surrealism of the film. I highly recommend it.

Review: you don't really have to be insane to care about the environment and know the human race really doesn't understand the meaning of the word humble.well this film takes you into that brave new world that exists that we forget to recognize that yes it is really that bad.call me paranoid,call me crazy,but only art can make you think and feel what is already a reflection of our everyday existence.Best acting jobs of Willis and Pitt,seem very concerned about their roles.just my opinion.

Review: Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt, and Madeleine Stowe all excel in possibly the greatest sci-fi film ever. "12 Monkeys" is an imaginative and fast-moving film that keeps you thinking and guessing until the very end. The movie's eeriness and frequent jumping back and forth through time make it all the more intersting. The ending ties into the rest of the film very nicely. I was left in awe after the film ended.

Review: This is one of the best movies I have ever seen, while sober. I was taking a dump when I first turned it on, and I was so mesmerized by the great acting that by the end my bottom was sore cause I absolutely couldn't get up. It reminds me of the time that I got hammered and made a little boy curse at his brother, and got him in trouble because the other little boy told his mom. It was cool though cause the little boy probably did something the deserve the beating anyway, kids are such annoyances. That's why mine stay locked up in the cellar. But they better not touch my wine, or else...

Summary: Gilliam & Willis' Best ... Sci-Fi Excellence
Review: 12 MONKEYS is one of my favorite films. It features one of Bruce Willis' best performances. And, most importantly, it moves me every time I see it. The last few minutes (which I will not reveal here!) are the culmination of hints dropped throughout the film -- a reaccuring dream that Willis' character has. The end is beautiful and sad all at once.Terry Gilliam (who provides wonderful narration on the bonus DVD audio track) has worked his magic on the film. His usual themes of madness are back, this time embodied by Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis. Both give excellent performances. Madeleine Stowe is wonderful as well. The film deals with time travel. Willis must glean clues from Earth's past in order to figure out when a deadly virus was released -- a virus which left the Earth decimated and sent its inhabitants underground. The film unfolds like a wonderful jigsaw puzzle. It is definitely a brain-tickler (my favorite kind of sci-fi!). Watch 12 MONKEYS! There are no space ships or shoot-outs. You will find, however, a wonderful film about love and memories. And some pretty cool sci-fi ideas too!

Summary: Divine Bovine! (Holy Cow!)
Review: This movie is FANTASTIC. My dad saw it on a plane, and he said it is just one of those rare movies that is shown on a plane that is actually good. So we rented it. Although my dad had to explain the plot every now and then, the film was spooky, highly intelligent, super-suspenseful, and even quite powerful. It is simply in a class of its own, and there's no way to compare it to other sci-fi films. But WHY is it called 12 Monkeys? That's for me to know, and YOU to find out! Rated R. There are some scenes of blood and violence, and several profanities. There are also a few brief images of Bruce Willis's bare backside. I'm only 14, and I saw it a few months ago. The film is very complex and there was no way I would have understood it without my dad watching it with me. For all those who don't feel squeamish at the frightening atmosphere and music, this movie will keep your eyes glued to the screen until the ending credits!

Summary: Another peak for Bruce
Review: Bruce Willis has some excellent movies (Pulp Fiction, Nobody's Fool, Die Hard) some pretty good movies (Striking Distance, Sixth Sense, The Whole 9 Yards) and some awful movies (Hudson Hawk, Last Man Standing, Blind Date.) This sci-fi thriller is one of his better ones, albeit not the best. It probably does qualify as one of Brad Pitt's best movies, though. Good Sci-fi, great plot twists, interesting characters. Definately worth watching.

Summary: Not For Every One
Review: I personally am an afficionado of sci-fi flicks;especially ones dealing with time travel or the theories and probabilities involved with it ! This film is not for those with short attention spans or who hate to figure out certain story details for themselves. You must pay VERY (and I do stress very) close attention to the timeline and details of this movie for it jumps in and out with the blink of an eye. If you don't from the beginning, then you are already lost my friends ! Just what are the Twelve Monkeys you ask ? I will not tell, for it is the basis of the film. It is part sci-fi, part thriller, part action, and major SUSPENSE ! Excellent casting and acting with Willis, Pitt, and Stowe.Pitt's looney tune role is superb and believable. Willis' character being literally pulled apart mentally and physically from one timeline to the next is chilling and mesmerizing. Do not compare it to other time travel films or sci-fi movies; This one is in a class of it's own !

Summary: I have happiness for there are the very small monkeys!
Review: I have much fear of the monkeys. When I was a child, my grandmother would say to me that the monkeys will steal your teeth, and fill in the place with coins! She carried the dentures, which she could quickly withdraw as if to prove her story! I would cry, and never sleep for the fear which the monkeys would arrive with grips! A friend, who has a cruelness with her, bought for me this DVD, with the hopes to frighten me, but this did not occur! There are very small the monkeys in this film, and hardly twelve! The film has many interesting images and temporary moments with a certain number of the people who before did not have any of it! This Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis are now among friends with us! I would manufacture them starting from clay and would make them fight each one! There is the small alarming scene with a monkey which is lowered to the young boy on a wire. Will he steal teeth? I am afraid that it is thus! Then your discover that it is joke! I laugh by my sweat! There are moments with the displacement of monkeys AND removal of teeth in this film. However, it is Bruce Willis to withdraw his teeth! I laugh even while it bleeds of the mouth. Observe this film without fear of the monkeys! It makes us love and the airport!
