Summary: Last five episodes of season 2 finally on DVD
Review: Farscape's superior second season finally appears on DVD. As to why ADV is taking so long in releasing Farscape on DVD when in the UK they're ready to release season 4, is another mystery. Perhaps it's tied into Sci-Fi channel's decision not to renew the show or rerunning older episodes. Regardless, it's a pain for fans who have been waiting.

The trilogy that closes out season two stands as one of the best story arcs in the series' short history. Crichton is losing his mind as Scorpius' neural net device (implanted in Crichton's brain)is gathering the information about wormhole technology. It turns Crichton into an agent of Scorpius. In the process of trying to free him of its effects, his one of his closest crewmates is murdered by Crichton. Zahn makes the ultimate sacrifice paving the way for her crisis during season 3.

The production values are, as always, top notch and the extras appear to be identical to the UK DVDs. The picture quality is stunning as is the audio quality. Ben Browder gives a stunning performance. As usual, he'll be overlooked (along with everyone else connected with this great show) at Awards time (with the exception of the Science Fiction community). Farscape has become the standard against which other programs is measured.

Summary: What a sad loss...
Review: I remember starting a thread on the farscape newsgroup about how I worried that the series would end up cancelled much as Babylon5 was. Alas, here is a dvd set that shows what a tragedy it is. If this is the first Farscape you have read reviews about-
My feelings toward this show are best summed up by the feeling that I actually care what happens to each of the characters. It is as though they are my friends. It is said that the Henson group planned a 5-season story arc, One can only hope they'll manage to do a movie or two to finish it.

Summary: New Fans Be Warned
Review: I started watching Farscape into the fourth season....my son finally conviced me to watch it. A little ironic isn't it, since it has been cancelled!
So...I have been buying all the dvds and going back to the beginning. I have enjoyed every episode, even though I know about some of the future. Now to my warning...for people like me, trying to watch the show from the beginning, and for people like me who just purchase without always reading amazon comments, BE WARNED that the episodes are out of order on this dvd set. I watched the final episode of the set, which is on the first dvd, and boy was I confused. I went to a web site that lists all the episodes and of course, I figured out what had happened. So, buy these, enjoy them, but do it in order!!!

Summary: The explosive finale to Farscape's Second Season!
Review: The episodes that make up this two disk set are the final five episodes of Farscape's Second Season, including an explosive three part adventure and the shocking season finale. Here is a brief summary and review of each episode:

A Clockwork Nebari-Nebari agents take over Moya, and put the crew under mind control, with Crichton and Chiana the only hopes of staving off disaster. This is an excellent episode for suspense, though one sequence in which the Nebari administer mind control devices to Crichton pushes the envelope a bit on the violence.

Liars, Guns, and Money Parts 1-3-This three episode adventure has Crichton and crew on a mission to rescue D'Argo's son, Jothee, from slave traders. In the process, they have to rob a heavily protected fortress-like bank, hire some help from some dangerous individuals encountered by the crew in the past, and ultimately rescue Crichton who ends up captured by Scorpius along the way. The three part adventure is a well crafted combination of emotional drama and action packed thrills.

Die, Me Dichotomy-Crichton is becoming all but dominated by a neural clone implanted into him by Scorpius. In order to save him, the crew takes Crichton to a Doctor who has access to the bodies of nearly dead people who are unable to be saved. But before the Doctor can operate, the neural clone takes over Crichton, and causes him to kill one of his friends. The end of this episode, and the season, leaves Crichton in bad shape to say the least. This is a good dramatic episode, but its impact is tempered somewhat by the fact that the main character who is killed is one the audience knows can't, and won't, stay dead. But this episode is one not to miss nonetheless.

A great set of Farscape episodes to own. All of them on this set are either good or excellent, with the Liars, Guns, and Money three part adventure being some of Farscape's best episodes.

Summary: Wonderful ending of the second season!
Review: The last five episodes of the second season are truly wonderful. A great story line and set supported by wonderful performances really hook you for the third season. One simply needs to know how things turn out. I am truly impressed with the quality and scope of Farscape. If you have not watched the show yet you should go back to the very beginning of the first season and watch all the episodes. It is a great story! As mentioned in a review below you should make sure to watch the second episode on the FIRST DVD last (the episodes are out of order). Outstanding show! Shame on the Sci-Fi channel for cancelling this creative work.
