Rating: Summary: MegaPack Is MegaFun Review: How can you not love a movie where the "robot from outerspace" is a guy in a gorilla suit with a deep-sea diving helmet on his head? That's priceless! I hate movies that cost hundereds of millions of dollars to make. Why? Because they're still crappy even after $100+ million dollars have been spent on them. If you love low-budget, low-tech movies, you'll love this MegaPack. It's just a lot of fun, and I'm just getting started watching it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the movies aren't even remotely Sci-Fi, and are just jngle movies, etc. I guess they had to hedge their definition of "Sci-Fi" in order to come up with 50.
Rating: Summary: What a deal Review: I bought about a fourth of these movies and they were very economically priced, however even with duplicates this pack would be worth purchasing. Many of them are Roger Corman classics. Others are so bad that you have to watch then to tell people that you too have eclectic tastes. The individual titles come and go so get them all while you can. Be sure to read all the individual reviews (after you buy the collection). A few of highlights: The Incredible Petrified World - 66 minutes long Queen of the Amazons - original title "Amazons and Gladiators" Robot Monster - terminator in a fur suit She Gods of Shark Reef - natives and sharks but no She Gods The Amazing Transparent Man - you can see through this one The Wasp Woman - a stinging performance Santa Claus Conquers The Martians - it is an abduction story Teenagers From Outer Space - so what is new? Crash of the Moons (Rocky Jones) - female ruler with a nasty attitude Mesa of Lost Women - Horrible background music Killers From Space - saw this as a kid - still spooky - Ping-Pong ball eyes Zontar, the Thing From Venus - rubber Venusians There are a few glaring omissions including "The Crawling Eye"

Rating: Summary: For the price you're paying, you can't go wrong Review: I'm a big fan of old cheesy sci-fi movies. And despite the fact that this set as a few unbearable and ultimately boring films to watch, this set is worth buying if you like this sort of thing.
I have not watched every movie on this set, but I found "The Phantom Planet," "Robot Monster," "Phantom From Space," "Killers From Space," and "Gammera the Invincible" to be pretty entertaining. So anyone of those is a good place to start in my opinion. I also watched "The Wild Women of Wongo," and it is probably the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen. But it's hilarious. DANCE FOR THE DRAGON GOD!!!
There are some quite boring movies on this set. "Battle of the Worlds" is Claude Rains' worst mistake ever (he was the only good thing about the movie). "Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet" is probably Basil Rathbone's worst mistake. It's ulimately mind-numbing and boring. So save those for a later day when you're up late and can't sleep. You'll pass right out.
The picture and sound aren't always the best (however, this is the only way you can watch many of these titles). But for the amount of movies you're getting at the cost this set is selling for, I recommend this purchase if you like cheesy sci-fi.
Rating: Summary: What a Deal Review: If you love those old low budget sci-fi movies, this is a great collection. Oh sure, there are a few clinkers but for the money, you cannot go wrong with this set. Tons of fun for a great price. You gotta love it!

Rating: Summary: Woot! Its like MST3K without the funny bits! Review: This set is for you if . . .
. . . you ever longingly read through the MST3K Episode Guide,
wishing you could see the movies WITHOUT COMMENTARY!!
. . . gather with friends on Saturday nights to watch bad
movies and ingest copious amounts of sugar.
. . . enjoy watching films where maybe, just maybe, you could be
a better actor, director, producer or script writer.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this collection since I got it. And
am looking forward to screening "Santa Clause vs the Martians"
to celebrate the upcoming holidays. (Also crossing my fingers
hoping to get the 50 Horror Movie classics for said upcoming
holidays.)
[Warning: This product may cause unpleasant side effects of
nausea, headache, and mind-numbing boredom.]
