Summary: The best sci-fi horror film of the decade
Review: Event Horizon is a bit shaky at points, but it manages to remain disturbing throughout the entire film, especially the conclusion. Sure, it's bloody but the style with which this film is directed is with good poise. It's a finely acted film that deserves to be given a second look. The fact that not so many questions are answered only give this film a creepier look. Besides, I feel rather satisfied with the very brief explanation of the cause of the disappearance of the Event Horizon.

Summary: Event Horizon - Unique Horror
Review: Event Horizon seems to be trying to mix the 1979 Alien film with a bit of The Shining and 2001 mixed in for good measure. Surprisingly, it works well. The entire film is suitably creepy and intense...and remarkably effective at making the audience feel quite eerie. I liked the film, and the actors did a fine job overall, though Fishburne seemed lacksadaisical.

Summary: excellent horror movie
Review: Ranks up with The Exorcist and Poltergeist as far as horror movies are concerned. The plot made perfect sense, how anyone could not grasp it is beyond me. Any fan of horror will love this

Summary: Hell on toast
Review: It just goes to show the grotesque perversion of human nature: that human spirit is capable of evil without the aid of monsters, demons, ghosts, natural disaster etc.

Summary: Event Gore-izon
Review: I kinda liked this movie, it isn't that perfect society sci-fi stuff like Star Trek. There's also a definate Alien-feel to to that ship, from the control room to the connecting umbilicus. Sam Neil spinning into a madman through the length of the film was a nice touch. The only gripe I have is that everything is borrowed from one movie or another. If you follow the script carefully it almost has the same storyline as the computer game Doom, and interdimentional gateway to a Hell-like world. It was also one of the most gory films I've ever seen, try watching it and eating a bowl of cherry cordial ice cream and you'll find out what I mean. It's a good movie, but not for the faint of heart.

Summary: The Shining in space
Review: A lot of people seem to hate this movie - because, I suspect, it wasn't what they expected. I thought it was a superior haunted house movie, set in space - Alien meets the Shining, and I genuinely found it frightening. A welcome change from the monsters and serial killers that have become the staple of the horror genre.

If you didn't think it made sense, youw eren't concentrating, the plot is fine. Its well paced, well acted and has good effects. bets of all it has Sam neill playing a madman - the only sort of part he's ever been good at.

"Eyes? Where we're going, we won't need eyes to see!"

(a note to the reviewer who said the plot made nos ense and he left before the end - WELL - if you leave before the end, how can you expect to follow the plot?)

Summary: Mommy where is my blankie?
Review: I've seen this movie more then five times. After watching the movie for the fifth time it still make me look under the bed, lock the doors and send chills up my spine as much as the first time. I rate this as one of the scariest movies of all time. It's a must of any horror collection!!

Summary: The best movie I've ever seen
Review: It's the greates

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Straight to the point
Review: Nice special effects and an excellent soundtrack make up the best parts of this movie. I was disappointed at first, but the when I saw it again it really kicked in. This is *not* a generic sci-fi film featuring aliens and crap like that. This movie follows a "haunted-house-in-outer-space" theme that lets anything happen. People looking for a by-the-books sci-fi movie should look elsewhere, because this one breaks a lot of laws, both in it's making and in the actual plot. It's not a happy movie either. About everything you can think would possibly go wrong does go wrong. If movies where the good guys aren't on the edge of things all the time bother you than this one definately will. If this movie disappoints you, then you need to loosen up a bit. There's no reason to cry about it. Just buy this and have fun watching it again and again.
