Summary: Nowhere as good as the original
Review: Tremors 2: Aftershocks is a sequel that's nowhere up to par with the original. Not only is Kevin Bacon missing, the laughs and fast paced entertainment are missing in the sequel. Instead, we have a film that fails miserably as a sci-fi horror film and even more as a comedy. It's not as campy as Tremors and doesn't have the suspense, either. Stick with the original.

Summary: best sequel ever
Review: This is the best sequel ever made. In the beginning, it explains where everyone went and is constantly referring back to the original Tremors. Unlike most sequels, the characters don't just 'drop' inexplicably out of the film. Michael Gross gives an especially great performance, and its hilarious how he blames his marraige problems on the fall of the soviet union. This is a truly worthy sequel.

Summary: worthy movie from the original...
Review: A great movie, but i would have liked to see Kevin Bacon in it. There are some good plot twists and suspense. The effects are quite good too, although some are quite bloody (not saying thats a bad thing!). The original is much better though, mainly because there is a lot more scares and suspense, and the sequal seems more B-Movie type, but all in all, it is a pretty cool movie! Rent it!

Summary: The worms have returned!
Review: This is the best movie ever! I like the worms, and how they get smarter. It puts a good twist on things. Earl and Grady are supposed to be Graboid hunting, but along the way they run into Burt(from the first movie) and the worms have a little surprise in store for Earl Basset, Grady Hoover, and Kate White.

Summary: A worthy successor to the original!
Review: I have now watched this movie over 20 times (along with the original Tremors). While a bit more slapstick-y that the original - and missing the talents of Reba McIntire and Kevin Bacon - it remains one the funniest sci-fi movies available. More importantly, the comedy is intelligent and the laughs, suspense and scares all work wonderfully together. A must see for fans of bug-eyed monsters and creative sci fi.

Summary: The best I've seen in a long time!
Review: I've seen this movie only once, and I think it's great! I'm gonna order this video straight away!

Summary: Good for laughs and fans of the first
Review: The original Tremors was a great movie. A semi-original (or atleast "different") monster idea, lots of comedy, some susepense, action, and memorable characters. Tremors 2 brings back The character of Earl along with Burt both of whom add lots of fun to this movie, all the other characters from the first however - are no where to be seen.

Tremors 2 is a different movie than the first. The first was a mix of sci-fi and horror with a very light hearted atmosphere and plenty of comedy worked in. The sequel changes this formula significantly. Tremors 2 is comedy first, before anything else and has a different feel than the first. So much so, that in fact at many times it's impossible to take the movie seriously at all - something the first movie was not guilty of. At any rate Tremors 2 does succeed in this respect as being an effective comedy monster action movie. You'll have to have seen the first to really appreciate the movie, as much of the funniest scenes are based around what everyone loved about the first (burt's millitary obsessions and new found paranoias, and earl's personality).

The Monsters are new and improved, and the "worms" are now revealed to be the larval stage of the creatures. After a metamorphic period they turn into a new, funny looking, bipedal screaching predators. The plot also attempts to give the simple explanation for their origins that they predate all other life on earth. All add enough change to the tremors story to make it very different from the original.

Tremors two comes off as a B movie, but it was INTENDED to be funny and rediculous. Fans of the original and people who like corny, funny, not-quite-horror movies will enjoy this. If you're looking for somethin that is as good as the first or better, you will be disapointed by the changes in plot, the change in mood, and the disapearance of tha majority of the characters.
