Rating: Summary: Is this what Dark Horse Comics likes to publish.? Review: By the time they made this sequal in the Predator film series, it was already a popular comic from Dark Horse Comics, and thus they made the screenplay for this movie along the lines of a very violent comic book type movie, and brother it's has comic book written all over it. If you like this sort of movie, watch it. If you like Dark Horse Comics Predator comic series, watch it. If you prefer Marvel or DC comics, ignore this film all together. The only thing in this movie worth watching is the inside of the ship that these creatures live on.
Rating: Summary: More toys, more victims, more development of the Predator Review: This movie, in my opinion, is distinctly better than the first. The plots of the two movies are equally bad, and what we're left with is the little stuff. In the area of little stuff, this movie far exceeds the first. The Predators are much more developed than in the first: there are more weapons, more "toys", more hints at their history, and more development of their culture. At one point, the Predator is about to kill a woman... but then lets her live when he discovers that she is pregnant. Brilliant! These guys don't just kill indiscriminately, they actually have ethical standards! The showdown on the Pred's ship is dang cool, and of course, there's the infamous line:"(expletive) happens!" Just like the first Predator movie, this one's production quality just about makes up for its lack of plot.
Rating: Summary: Predator 2 Review Review: I found the movie to have some cool action and scifiness. I thought, though, that they could have done less with the war between the Colombian and Jamaican drug dealers. I liked how they made the Predator look more different and have newer weapons to use in the action scenes. I thought the first one, though, was just about better, but this one was pretty cool too. It's weird how I've heard certain things that this movie wasn't really that much, but I thought it was good.

Rating: Summary: While waiting for "Alien VS Predator"... Review: Remember that scene inside the Predator spaceship, where their trophy room proudly exhibits H. Giger's true blue Alien's skull? I guess that some rumors were going on about that projected "Intergalactic Wrestling" idea: Alien VS Predator. Well, while waiting for it to materialize, should this event ever take place in our space-time continuum, watch this most explosively entertaining of sequels! (WHERE IS THE DVD???)
Rating: Summary: The Yautja hunter is back. Review: While this movie is not the best I have ever seen I enjoyed it all the same. Mostly because the movie fleshed the Predator out as a character instead of an extraterrestrial killing machine, sitting cloaked in the trees and firing its Plasmacaster. While it may not be much it also reveals a small piece of Yautja culture and their possition as hunters, traveling the galaxy in search of suitable prey. The introduction of new Yautja equipment such as the Ki'Cti-Pa, the Combistick, the Smartblade, and the dartgun was also quite nice. But I would have to agree with many of you in that Danny Glover was terribly misused in this movie. Especially since it was based on "Predator: Concrete Jungle," a comic book series (and now graphic novel), which featured Dutch's brother as the protagonist.
Rating: Summary: Cops...gang lords...they're all trophies in the end... Review: The Predator returns in this sequel to the Arnold Schwarzenegger film about an intergalatic hunter. This new Predator is younger, more rebellious, and literally has more tricks up his sleeve than the original one. In search of the ultimate prey, the Predator travels to a jungle unlike any other on Earth: the concrete jungle of Los Angeles, the perfect setting for his wild nature. Drawn by the violence of an LA gang war, the Predator indiscriminantly hunts gang members and police officer, only caring as to whether or not they're "worthy prey". In the midst of the carnage is Detective Harrigan, a cop who is seeking revenge for the savage deaths of his friends. Content with the knowledge that he has found a admirable adversary, the arrogant Predator is soon on the run as it is being hunted by Harrigan. Although not as good as the first film, Predator 2 shows more of the ways of the Predators from their exotic weapons to their unconventional hunting tactics.
Rating: Summary: I want my DVD... Review: I must say that I have enjoyed both P1 and P2, although, I would enjoy P2 more if it were on DVD. The hunting is now moved to the concrete jungle where there are adequately armed warriors for the Predator to hunt, all worthy adversaries. Since the hunting is now being performed at another location, it makes sense that the characters would be different actors. Danny Glover does a good job as the hot headed cop that takes on the Predator, and it isn't that he is stonger than "Awnold" because Harrington does get knocked around pretty badly, it's just that he catches the Predator off guard, just like "Awnold" did. I think this is a great sequel and can hardly wait for it to be available on DVD.
Rating: Summary: Predator 2 Review: What made the original "Predator" so exciting and entertaining was, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger, but also the swamp-like setting and incredible cinematography. Danny Glover is no Arnold, and a large suburban city just doesn't seem to be a believable place for a kill-crazy creature from another world to wreck havoc. The script is laughable, the effects are disappointing, and the star power of Glover and Busey is unfortunately wasted. A sequel that never should have happened. Director: Stephen Hopkins. Cast: Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Ruben Blades, Maria Conchita Alonso, Bill Paxton, Robert Davi, Adam Baldwin, Kent McCord, Morton Downey Jr. Rated R for violence, gore, profanity, and nudity. 108 minutes.
