Summary: God-awful
Review: This was a horrible movie. I was so glad I rented instead of maying $7.50 at the movies. The best part was the dinner scene other than that it sucked! The charcters were so stupid you didnt even care about them and was also the a bad attempt at humor.

Review: GRANDMA KLUMP, YOU GO GIRL! <I'm gonna take this knife, and I'm gonna throw it through the crack of your butt.>

Summary: The FUNNIEST movie I have ever seen!!!
Review: Eddie Murphy was wonderful, as always, as Sherman Klump, the Nutty Professor. The movie was so hilarious and very funny. My stomach almost ached with laughter. This movie is truly the funniest movie ever. Comedy at it's finest!

Summary: A very good remake/retake of the Jerry Lewis classic.
Review: Eddie Murphy takes the classic Jerry Lewis film and brings it up to date Murphy style. His characterizations of Sherman Klump and members of the Klump family are priceless. Nobody does this like Eddie Murphy!

When the film began playing in theaters there was much ado about Eddie's character being obese and the fat jokes being offensive to those overweight. I don't see what all the hoopla was all about. The script handles all the overweight issue with balance and in the end Sherman realizes it's alright to be who you are so long as you are happy.

It was nice to see Jerry Lewis was involved in the production. This is one DVD that should be a great addition to anyone's comedy collection, especially if you like Eddie Murphy and Jerry Lewis.

Summary: Lighthearted, Warm, Ridiculously Funny, and a Moral to boot!
Review: Perhaps my favorite ever comedy movie. Eddi played as many as 8 different characters in the movie, each with their own unique personality. A love story, comedy, and moral (it's okay to be fat -- don't deny your true self) all wrapped up in one perfectly entertaining film. The fart scenes at the dinner table were the real highlight for me!

Summary: It was hilarious!
Review: I loved all the parts that Eddie Murphey played, which showed his real talent. The movie had really good lines and some of the parts really are true in life. I own that video and always watch it and no matter how many times it still makes me laugh. My favorite part is all the family scenes.

Summary: More than just a remake
Review: To some of us, "The Nutty Professor" will always be Jerry Lewis, but Eddie Murphy's vision of the wierd scientist is well worth a look (and a purchase). While the ads emphasised the special effects, Murphy's unique take on the character is enjoyable, though certainly more risque than the original was three or four decades ago. END

Summary: Funny and Sympathetic
Review: Eddie Murphy revived his sagging career with this movie. Before The Nutty Professor (NP), he had made a long series of duds. His chubby hero is sweet and kind and therein lies the genius of NP. Murphy plays the title character straight and allows everything else to be funny. In NP, Murphy finally seems to understand something that had escaped his attention until this movie: people aren't just funny because they crack jokes, use profanity and make snide remarks. Absurd and embarrassing situations and how people deal with them are funny. The dinner at his family's house (w/ Eddie playing all the characters) is hilarious laugh out loud stuff. This is a kinder, gentler Eddie Murphy and it proved a gold mine.

Summary: Eddie at his best
Review: Eddie Murphy is definitely one of the undisputed kings of comedy. He's so hilarious. He's definitely phenomenal. THE NUTTY PROFESSOR really is a good movie. The scene with Dave Chapelle in da club is real hilarious esp when Eddie went back to show him who has been the game for long.

Summary: Ohhhhh Hercules! Hercules!
Review: This film is hilarious.
A 400 pound man is tired of being overweight, so he decides to create a potion that, when consumed, turns him into a slim, attractive man.
Things get out of control as his new "alter ego" (the slim, attractive guy) tries to take over his body.

Eddie Murphy did a wonderful job playing over 8 roles that he was hired for. If you're ever bored, check this one out.
