Summary: Awesome Flick!
Review: Ok, everybody needs to stop comparing this movie to others, just because it is from the same director as Trainspotting and Shallow Grave, does not mean it was meant for comparison. Just watch this movie and say what you felt about THIS movie. As for myself, I thought it was absolutely brilliant. It was different from most love stories these days; there was action, suspense, humor, as well as romance. I loved the scene where Ewan McGregor throws the robot against the window in hopes that it'll fall apart, when in turn it actually bounces right back up and continues to scrub the floor...Hilarious!! There are so many other scenes that are equally funny. McGregor was great. And I loved the fantasy scene in the bar when they're dancing and singing in sync. It was all very clever. Congratulations on a job well-done to the people who put this movie together. By the way, I went out and bought this movie right away!

Summary: A film thats very Ordinary
Review: I'm affraid I have to disagree with the majority of people reviewing this film, but then hey - variety is the spice of life!! This film is a half hearted cross between Pretty Woman (though not as endearing), and Sleepless in Seatle (without the comedy). As a film to watch at home, its worth a hire, but theres no way that I would part with my money to actually buy this film. Cameron Diaz is as usual stunning, but Ewan McGregor shows none of the charm that made him great in Trainspotting.

Watch it = yes Buy it = NO NO NO

Summary: The best love story since "When Harry Met Sally"
Review: A great movie. It transcends the average reputation of Boyle by leaving a full happy ending. Some people reason that the movie is too hollywood and not characteristic of Boyle's usual high grade work, basically that he doesn't understand what it's like over the pond. However I feel this story is not Boyle's American Tale, but Boyle's love story. It continues his excellent work previously seen in "Shallow Grave," and "Trainspotting."

Summary: not as cool as "trainspotting"
Review: When I bought "Life less ordinary" I expected something like "Trainspotting" (another movie by Danny Boyle). That's why I got the movie in the first place. However, it seems to fall way below "Trainspotting" in its plot. (Maybe girls and more romantic guys then me will think different though). That's why I gave it 3 stars - out of disappointment.

Summary: Awesome!! I will never get tired of seeing this movie!
Review: This movie is just too good, it is beautifully directed and the screenplay is superb. The story made me love it. The soundtrack is great and songs are put at the perfect time! Diaz and McGregor are great!!

Summary: Wow !
Review: Ewen McGregor plays the part of a young man , who has no money , no nothing really , whoes tragidies lead him to meet and fall in love with a beautiful rich young woman ( Cameron Diaz ). So he kiddnapps her. I can't really say too much , as I don't want to give it away - all I can say , is that you have got to see this film . Ewen McGregor is so cute , and Cameron Diaz is just stunning . The film will have you in hysterics , especially at the part where Ewen has to plead for a ransom - it's so funny . See it .

Summary: Don't think, just laugh!
Review: This is how a comedy should be. Ewan is great, and Cameron Diaz is HOTTTT. This should be a good ideal for a date movie. My favorite part is when Ewan walks out of the bar wearing a skirt. ( it reminds me of Axl Rose, who wore the same kind of skirt, on stage 5 or 6 years ago.) I'd like to give it 4 and a half star, since we can't do that, I'm just gonna give it 4 stars.

Summary: Hmmmmmm. I'm not sure about this one...
Review: Despite all the elements that made Trainspotting and Shallow Grave such a triumph, its strange how this film turned out the way it did. While the narrative worked along with the slightly surreal sense of structure, parts of this film make you want to hide from the screen with your palm in front of your face. All points to E.M. and C.D. for their performances and Holly Hunter makes the more tedious pastiche of divine intervention more enjoyable with her helter-skelter persona. The soundtrack, a stunning blend of old Elvis tunes and modern tracks (standout choices: Ash's "A Life Less Ordinary" and Alabama 3's "Peace In The Valley") makes the ride more pleasant, but overall, this film could have been better.

Summary: "A Life Less Ordinary" is the best romantic comedy ever!
Review: I thought I was sick of romantic comedies...until I saw this movie. "A Life Less Ordinary" (brought to you by the crew who did "Trainspotting" and "Shallow Grave) is a hilarious film about a guy (sexy Ewan McGregor) who loses his job to a robot, and decides to do something about it. He kidnaps his former boss' daughter (Cameron Diaz), who ends up taking over the operation. Two angels then step in to unite the couple romantically, and then end result is often violent, always funny, chaos. The film had great comic timing and the two leads were wonderful. The movie actually pulled off a few dramtic scenes without appearing cheesy or tacked-on. The plot sometimes became confusing and the ending was a little weird but all-in-all, the film was incredible. "A Life Less Ordinary" is a good date film, but it's fun to watch with your buds or if you've just been dumped and I LOVED IT.
