Summary: This movie could've been just more simply irresistable....
Review: There are a few reasons this music wasn't a big box office hit. 1. The story lack luster 2. The acting from the lead male is not convincing. 3. its a typical love story...Not much twist... The good things about the movie Sarah Michelle Gellar did a *GOOD* job!!! And this is a VERY *cute*,but average movie it has a unique story about the whole food ordeal. I like that!!! But it isn't a movie I'd buy unless I got it real cheap cause it doesn't have any moments where you're like really caught in the whole movie ya know? Where your eyes are bawling,you're really laughing,or feeling you need a loved one. If you want to see above average love stories see "Moulin Rouge" or "Bridget Jones Diary",but this is a good movie to sit back relaz and watch just don't expect anything spectacular. I just think this is an adorable film except for the mention faults. I *HOPE* I didn't discourage you from renting it!!! *enjoy*!!! God Bless ~Amy

Review: This film does not make sense at all!There is no explanation why suddenly the two characters are floating in the air and hey, whats with the majic crab????Doesn't the amount of used copies give you an idea how rubbish this film must be? Come on Buffy you can do better than this!

Review: This movie is not only a ripoff but totally and completely confusing. How does SMG's cooking suddenly get better anyways? That makes absolutely no sense. They should explain that part some more. Other than that, it's downright boring and somewhat sappy. The only highlight is that they have good music.

Review: Sarah workes her magic in this could be better movie.. the plot had its weak spots, the dialogue left a little to be desired.. the acting was in a word, superb.. Sarah has always had a bewitching way of drawing me to the theatre.. i went to "scream 2" 4 times, "cruel intentions" 6 times, and "i know what you did last summer" 3 times.. this movie however, once at 6.75 was enough.. if you love sarah, watch it for kicks.. if you like sean patrick flannery.. Skip it.. not his best attempt.. overall a decent piece of cinematic celluloid..

Review: I would just like to say that this was the corniest, stupidest, and most tedious movie I've ever had the displeasure of viewing! There was no chemistry between Sarah Michele Geller and Sean Patrick Flennery and the humor was too dry. The movie was cheesy...you could see a string attached to the fake crab for heavens sake and the viewers were supposed to think it was real! Not to mention the fact that the movie just goes on and on and on...UGH! Sarah Michelle Geller is a talented actress and it's a shame to see her in such a turkey. The plot shows little direction and is of VERY little interest. Geller plays a lovelorn chef who meets Flannery by accident. She chases a crab (one that wouldn't pass for real even to a five year old)under a table and accidental grabs Flannery's leg. Then after that, many "magical" instances occur between the two. In short, the movie tried to be something it wasn't; a magical romantic comedy. A can assure you that the movie was neither convincingly romantic or funny and as for magical, it just passed off as annoying and corny. If watching stupid films exasperates and disgusts you as much as it does me, stay away from this movie...IT'S POISON!

Summary: Light But Lovely
Review: I skipped this one at theater and the rental store... until I saw it on cable. Sarah Michelle Geller really won my heart as the struggling chef. I cried right along with her when things seemed to go so wrong. I think what pulled it together for me was the smooth soundtrack and the use of color to denote the differences in Geller's and Flanery's lives. If you are looking for intense drama, skip this. But if you want something to tickle your senses and just leave you feeling a little more light hearted, pick it up.

Summary: Great Movie On A Saturday Night
Review: Simply Irresistible has great replay value, which makes it easy to watch the movie again, unlike some other movies where when you've seen it once, you've seen it enough. Simply is definately a movie for the GIRLS out there, due to all it's "Smooching" scenes in the movie. The charming reality in this movie makes it a great movie to rent or buy, and some of it's scenes are so unpredictable, you could just sit back, forget about the crab and watch Sarah Michelle and Sean Patrick work thier magic on screen. Simply Irresistible may not be the best for the male population because of the absence of violence in this movie, but as far as the female, i'm sure you will swoon as i did watching the somewhat Cinderella story unfold.

Review: I have no idea what movie the previous 'reviewers' here saw, but it wasn't this one. I loved it. A sweet, magical little movie. Sure it was sappy, and had a few mystical qualities to it, that part of its charm. I think both Gellar and Flannery are terrific here.

Review: I can honestly say that this is one of the worst movies that I have seen in a very long time. Sarah Michelle Gellar is a bad chef/owner of her mother's restaurant until a little magic intercedes. Suddenly, she becomes a fabulous cook. Her little elcair puffs send people into fits of lust. When she kisses Sean Patrick Flannery, she floats to the ceiling. The plot in this book was very weak. Sarah Michelle Gellars acting job was tepid at best. I think that this movie had the potential to be fun, if the directors had decided to go the "corny" route. Don't waste your time on this.
