Summary: Is This A Comedy?
Review: The problem for numerous "so-called" comedies are that they are not as funny as they are supposed to be and thus do no warrant being worthy to be put in this genre. "Boys and Girls" is one of these movies. It just seems like the movie stocked up on using more romance for this film than any comedy. Although Jason Biggs was cast as Prinze's roommate for laughter purposes, it makes him mirror the antics of his roommates in his other film "Loser." The situations of laughter just do not pan. As for the romance, Prinze and Forlani's scenes seem to be filled with tension about when they finally end up together. And somehow I can't see Forlani being cast as a college student. The scenes with Alyson Hannigan (Willow from Buffy) and Heather Donahue all seemed to be too short. As was the small cameo by singer Monica. Why were they put in this movie for bit parts? Overall, I found this movie had too many things against it to warrant a good review. If you want romantic comedy, try "She's All That."

Summary: I absolutely LOVE this movie!!
Review: This is a great movie. Don't be thrown by the slogan, "Sex changes everything." The movie isn't even about sex. I think it illustrates aspects of relationships that are very real and universal.

Summary: Definitely a must-see. Not what you'd expect.
Review: I was iffy about this movie at first, since it looked like just another teen chick flick (Down To You, She's All That). But after watching it, I have to say I was wrong.so wrong in fact that I bought it on DVD. This is a great movie. Claire Forlani, whom I'd never seen before in any of her prior works, won my heart as Jennifer, any guy's perfect girl. And Freddie Prinze Jr., though his reputation preceded him, gave a stellar acting performance, except for a few minutes near the end where his monologue included such cliches as "Being with you was like going to a place I'd never been before." Scary, huh? Anyway, Jason Biggs accounted for the comedy as a wannabe lady's man searching for his own identity. A definite feel-good movie, best of it's kind.

Summary: Stay Away
Review: This movie is bad. It tries all too hard to reach the levels of films mentioned in the film (SIXTEEN CANDLES and THE BREAKFAST CLUB) and the movie that it ripped off, WHEN HARRY MET SALLY, that it hurts to watch. Hurts to watch because it's attempts are so painfully obvious and by-the-numbers, and its failure so bad. Sure, Claire Forlani and Freddie Prinze Jr. have charm to spare between the two of them. But without material to support them, the two lead actors simply do not have the stuff to make this turkey fly. Smartly, the producers tapped Jason Biggs to help out, and he (singlehandedly) almost pulls it off. But ultimately, is it worth your time/money? No.

Summary: A wreck of a film!
Review: This attempt at a teenage 'When Harry Meet Sally' is perhaps the most unsettling films I have seen in quite some. How could any highly - paid studio executive OK this - the cast and script rank among the worst I have every seen. Prinze was wrong for the lead (Rushmore lead would have done much better), while Biggs was sleepwalking through the picture. This could have been a very good teen pic - but the script needed work. The end result is a painful waste of our time and money - and the studios money. Avoid - at all cost. Instead(same genre): Ten Things I Hate About You, Rushmore, or any John Hughes 80s teen pic.

Summary: thought it would be better.....
Review: ...A LOT better. This is the worst F.P.J. movie I have seen so far. I thought this would be funny, but instead its just an annoying, boring, and easy to get sick of in the first 30 minutes of viewing. Its only around an hour & 1/2 long, but it seems like it never ends.

Summary: Boos & Gags
Review: Last Saturday me and some pals rented Boys & Girls here at Castle Mobbitskull. One friend insisted we watch, because Jason Biggs from American Pie is in it. Our closet Freddie Prinze Jr. fan couldn't come up with a reason, he just wanted to see it(sounds suspicious). I was in it for one reason, the beautiful acting talent of Ms. Claire Fiorlani. Anyway, the Movie makes no sense for about, well, the whole time. The intro is as slow as a scat fossil. Biggs, a funny young actor, has no real opportunity to shine. He is simply exploited in unfunny physical humor. Prinze is no prince in this film. He starts out as this unbelievable character who is supposed to be a nerd. C'mon Freddy, as if we don't know that you get mobbed by braced faced gigglers who stink of Teen Spirit. Prinze goes from nerd one moment to a suddenly hip guy with a wandering bronx b-boy accent. Why? Hmmm, that very curious fact was one of the only reason we kept watching. Well, actually there is one more. If you desire to see pure talent make the best of a terrible script. You may actually stick around if anything to catch a glimpse at a young starlet on the rise. You'll be seeing more of Claire in the future. Also, be sure to stick around for the extra footage during the credits. It's a little something extra but it wont' give you back the time you wasted watching it. In the future there will be a landfill. A heaping mountain of AOL discs and copies of this movie.

Summary: What a wonderfully terrible film
Review: This film, at a wopping hour and a half, give or take, seemed like it lasted forever. Gladiator, right around 3 hours, flew by. i guess when a film is painfully bad, it will show. This film has a brilliant director. Who else would think of putting together 2 of the worst actors of the last few years: Freddie Prinze Jr. and the wonderfully obnoxious Jason Biggs. Freddie goes off to college as a dork, the turns into a teen heart throb, ah, how film mirrors reality.... This film turns from bad to worse when they stop everything logical to have a big dance scene, just like what happened everyday in highschool. This film is for those people that think that they like movies, but are really unsure of what is good. A little help everyone, this is not good. it is the same moronic fluff that is in every teen movie. Skip this and watch a real "teenager" movie like Rushmore or Election.

Summary: Love Stinks
Review: This movie was terrible. Basically Freddie Prince and Claire Forlani have a habit of running into each other before they eventually become friends and then, of coarse, more than friends. Nothing in this film was original. Prince and Forlani don't like each other at first, they have strange best friends, and a final sequence in the airport where one of them is leaving. The only redeaming parts of this film are Forlani's beauty and some decent comic relief provided by Jason Biggs, who plays Prince's roommate and only friend. In fact the funniest part of this movie happens during the final credit sequence in which Biggs has a dream with Victoria Secret models that want him to fart. Other than that this movie was just a waste.
