Summary: Hole in One! (could a title get any cheezier?)
Review: Happy Gilmore is an impressive comedy for more than a few reasons. It's nice to see a good Adam Sandler movie after his more recent crimes against humanity. This is a very easy going movie and a great film to watch if you are in the mood for some good laughs. The unorthodox manner in which Sandler delivers his entertainment is rather refreshing throughout most of this picture and keeps the mood light for the length of the movie.

I have to say I do take partial to the fact that Happy Gilmore is a washed up hockey player wannabe with more than a low-grade bad temper and a penchant for comedy. I think we can all relate to Gilmore a little during the movie because sometimes you just want to throw things, hit people, scream loudly and make a big scene because your ticked off.

The only truly far-fetched concept in this movie is that a Boston fan wins a championship. Other than that, its a good movie to get into when you don't want to worry about reality too much. This is a great movie to own because it has a high replay value and is fun to watch with some friends every now and then. Don't be fooled by Adam Sandler's new movies, this one is a hole in one.

Summary: If this is Sandler's best, his worst must be wretched...
Review: This movie was kind of funny the first time I saw it. It was ridiculously boring the second time. Adam Sandler couldn't be funny in this film if his life depended on it. Yet he has a knack for attracting the best comedy costars ever. Take for instance Christopher McDonnel in this movie. He's hilarious as the villain. And Bob Barker's role is funny, if not small. But Sandler is bothersome at the center of this movie. The plot is chock full of cliches and the humor is obnoxious and pestering. Sandler has had better movies, but he has not done better. If you're looking for humor from Adam Sandler, you're better off watching an Oliver Stone film.

Summary: Sandler's Best
Review: The only good golfing movie ever. "Caddyshack" was average. Adam Sandler is Happy Gilmore, a struggling hockey player who needs to come up with money to pay for Granny's taxes. Chubbs (Carl Weathers) notices his golf swing and senses some potential. "Just tap it in." Shooter McGavin eats stink piles for breakfast, but he thinks he's the best. Gilmore climbs the ladder and is almost ranked number one by the PGA. His popularity grows more and more and all kinds of people come to watch him play. He cusses at the ball and breaks a machine clown's face. Gilmore does it all: beats Shooter, gets the girl, saves his granny's house. The best Adam Sandler movie.

Review: Besides the flop of Little Nicky. I love all of adams movies. However this one is definately my favorite. Not only is it so packed full of laughs that you will be rolling on the floor laughing but it also has so many great one lines you will start to say them in casual conversation.
Basically if you have any comedy in you, you will like this movie. It has humor for everyone.

Summary: One of the two funniest movies ever
Review: This ranks up with "Me, Myself and Irene" as the funniest movie I have ever seen. If you are one of the very few who have not seen this movie, buy it now! You will laugh like you've never laughed before. If you have seen it, chances are you already own it.

Summary: Goofy, No-Brainer Fun
Review: If you like no-brainer comedy, you'll love "Happy Gilmore". Adam Sandler is at his best in this wacky golf comedy about a wannabe-hockey player who discovers he has an amazing, if untraditional, talent for golf. There are some truly hilarious moments amidst the schtick; it's definitely worth renting.

Summary: Pretty good movie
Review: I like this movie. Happy Gilmore goes from a down-on-his luck hockey player to coming out of nowhere and being a pretty darn good professional golfer. The comedy in this movie is also very colorful, too. This movie is basically Adam Sandler at his best. Carl Weathers (he played Chubbs) hasn't come off this good in a movie since his role as Apollo Creed in the classic Rocky movies. I love this comedic masterpiece and this movie ranks right up there with Big Daddy, the Waterboy, and Billy Madison (other great Sandler masterpieces). And always remember to keep this thought in mind-GRIZZLY ADAMS DID HAVE A BEARD!

Summary: Outrageously Funny!!!
Review: This was the best comedy of the year. I was on the floor laughing at this great film quite a few times. Truly Adam Sandler's best film. It's about a man named Happy Gilmore (Sandler) who has always dreamed of being a professional hockey player.

His Grandma's house and possessions would be taken by the IRS. Fortunately, Happy would find out that he could drive a golf ball an amazing 400 yards. He would then run into Chubbs Peterson, a former golfer who wanted to help Happy become a great golfer. Happy would eventually agree(mostly because of his Grandmother) and join the PGA tour. There he would meet his biggest and most hated rival Shooter McGavin who he would have to beat in order to get Grandma her house back.

Happy is not a guy you want to get mad as you will see by the fights and the foul language he uses throughout. He even gets into a fight with Bob Barker of all people! I recommend this hole in one to anyone who likes good movies.

Summary: 5 Star Film, 4 Star DVD
Review: When I first saw this movie my stomach was so tight with laughter that I actually cramped a few times and thought I would end up with a hernia. My ribs hurt also. The second and third viewings did not have the same impact but I still laughed to tears. This is probably the funniest comedy I have ever seen, in league with Better Off Dead and Steven Wright's HBO stand-up comedy. I was bothered by all the foul language but I ignored it because the story line was just too rich. In all honesty the foul language carried the film; the dubbed-over TV version was just too chopped up and odd. Don't let mention of Caddy Shack throw you off. True enough, this is another golf comedy, but in an entirely different class and far superior to Caddy Shack. This is Adam Sandler's best film to date (pending review of Mr. Deeds). My only gripe with the DVD is the full-screen aspect. Why can't we at least have the option of full-screen or wide screen (anamorphic)? This show is well worth it.
