Summary: Flawed script/plot, but VERY FUNNY nonetheless.
Review: This movie has some incredibly hilarious scenes. A very funny movie. What would have put this movie over the top is if the plot (something about a golf club scam and somehow the character played by Renne Zellweger is involved) was more intelligently woven into the plot. Instead the golf club issue is used as an excuse which propels the movie forward. The schizophrenia concept is obviously perfect showcase for Jim Carrey.

Warning to parents: there is a lot and I mean A LOT of swearing in the film which is not suitable for young children.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The movie's only saving grace was the 3 sons, they were hilarious. I rented it for free from the library. Don't pay to see this one.

Summary: Jim Carrey Rules
Review: Having already begun to develop a keen appreciation for Jim Carrey's talent, I saw "Me, Myself & Irene" at the theater when it came out. My response to it on first viewing was lukewarm, but something about it stuck with me. I kept remembering certain scenes and chuckling to myself. I wanted to see it again. A few months later, I rented it, and my second viewing was much more enjoyable. The strength of this film lies in the dynamite performance by Carrey. His physical ability, comic timing, and facial expressions are unequaled. In one scene, where he is picking himself up and throwing himself into the back of a car, it's hard to believe that special effects aren't being used. He's THAT convincing. Ditto for the scene where he first transforms into his alter-ego. The strain of his effort shows clearly on his face after he puts it through its contortions. Jim Carrey in a class by himself. This film is great because it is so entertaining to sit and marvel at Carrey's performance. The story is so-so. The writing is brilliant at times (the line about a certain cow being "lucky to be alive"), and at other times it's pretty lame (Hank's sob-story on the front steps of the diner couldn't have been delivered convincingly by anyone). So if you enjoy watching Carrey display his comic mastery, then this film is definitley worth buying.

Summary: Black dwarf Tony Cox and his three kids are film's stars
Review: I laughed myself into a massive coronary watching black dwarf Tony Cox and his three "mofo" kids steal every scene in this film.

I mean, don't get me wrong, Jim Carrey is funny as usual but the idea of his character becoming father to three ghetto black kids is over the top hysterical.

Black dwarf Tony Cox is always a laugh riot, I first saw him perform in the cult film-comedy, "Hollywood Zap!" and he is one of the funniest character actors in the biz.

Summary: STUPID and UNFUNNY
Review: Isn't Carrey's 15 minutes over yet?His movies get progressively worse but they still make money hand over fist.If you like Carrey you'll like this movie. If you are not familiar with his films or are interested in a comedy that is actually funny, look elsewhere.

Summary: Not just a one-man-Carrey show
Review: Me, Myself and Irene (shorten into MMI) has some particularly offending themes, particularly on little people, albinos and even Woody Allen. MMI starts off with a whack, when Charlie Baileygates got promoted as a Rhode Island officer, gets married with a girl he loved, then unexpectedly things go haywire when Charlie had a fight with a limo driver and few years later, Layla, Charlie's wife, dumps him with three kids which eventually ends up as foul-mouthed-rocket-scientist-geniuses. The consequence; after years of "just-forget-it-lifes-gonna-be-better-if-you-persevere" attitude which had taken toll on his credibility as an officer, Hank Baileygates invades Charlie's private equilibrium and all heck goes loose. The remarkable thing is Hank would "pop out" whenever Charlie leaves an oppression/provokation unchecked. Irene Waters (played by Renee Zellweger),a witness involved in a corruption scandal, became both Charlie and Hank's object of desire. The cool part; watching both characteristics trying to woo her heart and leaves Irene to figure "who-the-heck-is-who" and vice versa.

Jim Carrey in his first hour looks promising, but as another hour comes till the end of the movie, most of his jokes didn't work much, in fact when Charlie and Hank's intolerance of each other goes till a peak, Carrey's actions just falls flat, leaving audiences feeling "oh...haha..." and then there's the end of Carrey's "show". However, unlike Carrey's previous "one-man-shows" like The Truman Show, The Mask, Ace Ventura 2, the other casts gets the spotlight too. Charlie's three brilliant "Chris-Rock-meets-Albert-Einstein" sons are just mind-numbing, their crude dialogues would corrupt any "goody-two-shoes" on the spot (my fav: GERMAN ON CHOPPER!!), other two characters that seems unsignificant, Irene and "Whitey" gets the flow going and last but not least, one shocking little girl that'll give you a concrete proof NOT TO SHOW R-RATED MOVIES TO CHILDREN! Oh, not least too, is the hilarious directions of the Farrely's!

Overall, MMI isn't much of Carrey's best, and falls short of expectations, but weird, since it's too cruel for anything lower than four stars. I suggest borrow or rent, otherwise if you're loaded with cash, a must buy. And...guaranteed to please any Renee Zellweger fan like me!

Summary: ONE OF CARREY'S BEST.
Review: When Jim Carrey hits, he hits hard and funny and when he misses he misses hard too, just not funny. This movie is a great example of a Carrey hit and "The Mask" is a great exampe of a Carrey miss. How that piece of cr_p didn't end his career is beyond my capacity for rational thought. This is also the best Farrely bro's movie to date. If it's laugh out loud funny you want, watch this movie. It's the best comedy to come down the pike in a long time.

Summary: YES IT IS PRETTY CRUDE BUT QUITE FUNNY
Review: I saw this movie and there are sick bits (dog s*!ting on lawn is pretty vile) but it does have its funny bits.Jim carry tries hard but the farrery brothers should reaaly go back to kindergarten school cause thats where they belong.

Summary: Harvard University LOVES this Comedy!
Review: The Farelly brothers are outstanding and very popular at my college, Harvard University. Contrary to the stereotype purveyed, students at Ivy League Schools love great gross-comedies, it relieves the pressures around finals time.

SOMETHING ABOUT MARY is still the favorite, followed by ME, MYSELF, AND IRENE, and then HOLLYWOOD ZAP!

Summary: Not Comedy
Review: In response to rutgersev's review, "Good Comedies Don't Grow on Trees".... rutgersev, it's obvious you are analyzing a comedy, something that should never be done. That alone proves this movie to be a mistake. It's way to low brow, the comedy simply doesn't work and it's crude for the sake of being so.
