Review: This is true out-and-out Carrey. It shows something that isn't really new, that Jim turns into crazy but funny maniac at night (just at night?)...It's basically about a [guy] who finds a mask that turns him into a lunatic with superpowers. (Example: Ipkis twists a balloon into a machine gun.) It's rated PG13 for some infrequent violence.
Great fun. Go buy it now or else . . . You won't have fun on a rainy day...

Summary: Outrageous fun!!
Review: This has to be the the ultimate Jim Carrey movie, especially as it features his zany behavior and dancing, and the antics he's well known for. He's still not Jerry Lewis, but watching him on screen was a trip. He's so outrageous. The down side of the movie is the premise. He puts the mask on and the next thing you know, it's Jekkyl and Hyde. Maybe it worked and maybe it didn't. I'm familiar with the Stevenson novel, but this isn't Stevenson at all. It is Jim Carrey's show, through and through.

Review: Jim Carry's #1 favorit movie (well it should it becuase its the movie that caused his acting carrer to skyrocket!)I remeber seeing it whean it was in theaters and I remeber being probly the lousest one laughing in the theater (witch Iam useally not) yes it does push the fantesy world button a LITTLE bit but not annoyingly........... It defnitly falls under the Comady/Romatic catagory. But what happend to THE MASK II There was 1 planned!

Review: I know that there are a few people out there for whom Jim Carrey gets on their nerves. I empathize. He can grate my nerves from time to time as well. Believe it or not, however, this movie is the perfect Jim Carrey movie for you.As two different parts of the same person, Jim Carrey is able to do what he does best, without making you feel like someone is scraping their fingernails down a chalkboard. As Stanley Ipkiss, he is able to portray someone who is somewhat close to normal. But as the Mask, Jim Carrey is able to cut loose with such veracity, you will be rolling on the floor with laughter with none of his normal, irritating pain. This movie also introduced us to Cameron Diaz, who proves that she is not just another Hollywood made blonde bombshell. Yes, it is obvious that this is her first movie, but you will be able to see the talent that she possesses in this movie (which became obvious to the world in her future movies). So for a outrageously good time, sit back, put this mask on, and be prepared to have your innermost child come out to laugh. You'll be glad you did.

Summary: It is just a funny film not a serious movie
Review: This is just a movie to laugh at and have a good time with. And there are so many people who say The Mask is just too harsh and violent and the one that really made me laugh was some say that it is too scary? The best parts of course are when he is wearing the mask. As for the plot it is pretty bad when you look at it but I think everybody knows that. The violence for this movie is funny and even little kids can watch this. For crying out loud they even made a action figure of the mask years ago. The Mask is an original entertaining light comedy.

Summary: Great (except for the Julian gets the mask part!)
Review: I love this movie! I don't know why people care about the violent part. I watched this at my cousin's house in Canada and I have watched it many times after. In this movie, Stanley, a bank clerk, finds a mask that turns him into a VERY funny person(who happens to have a green face)my favorite parts in this movie was when Stanley goes to Tina's(Cameron Diaz) nightclub and dances with her(if you don't think this sounds very interesting, watch the movie and SEE THIS PART!!!!). The best part is when Stanley gets chased by cops when he meets Tina in the park and somehow hipnotizes the cops and dances with them to "Cuba Pete" (and 2 hookers join them) All in all, this movie is great no matter how many times you see it, and if some people think this movie has too many violent parts, I suggest watching Black Hawk Down, you might change your mind!!!!

Summary: Too violent, stupid, and the humor in bad taste!
Review: This is a terrible, stupid movie. It is VERY sexist, violent, and one of Jim Carrey's most awful films. It is not for kids, even though I watched it and I saying 'ughh' the whole time. There are way to many gun scenes! It gives people the WRONG message. Save your evening for some other video, not this.

Summary: Peter Greene ( My View)
Review: Sure, this movie was o.k., but I ,myself, like the bad guy in most films. Peter Greene was the high interest in the movie for me. When "STANELY" had the mask, basically, it controlled him, but when "DORIAN" had the mask, he was in complete control. He got revenge on his boss and anyone else who crossed him, even though it was only for a short time. If there is a sequel, which I doubt, it should definately have him, or a character similar to him. But, Jim Carrey did do a good job, and he is one of my favorite actors, so I guess this movie was pretty good.
