Samsung HT-DS630T 5-disc DVD home theater system

Summary: Just decent not great
Review: I got this System yesterday. it's pretty decent I would say not bad but for $423 this feels little expensive. If it's sold for around 250 then it's worth buying. I compared it with roommate's Panasonic SC-HT700. and I believe Panasonic SC-HT700 stands top ahead than this one. Here is my detailed review.
Styling and look is really good. It complements my Samsung TV, no doubt you will like it's style. I won't say central unit is big it's comparable to other Home theatre systems.

Pros :
1. You can set chnage volume for center and Rear speakers and subwoofer.
2. Styling is very good. Silver with black matt/cloth looks really good.
3. Color coded cable so you don't mess up.
4. 600 W might impress you.
5. 5 disc changer with selectable Progressive Scan.
6. Sound quality is good.
7. you can set time delay for center and rear speakers if your room setting doesn't allow you to place speakers as suggested.

Cons :
1. Progressive Scan mode ONLY works when you connect TV using Component cable. To use progressive scan mode your TV should have Component input.
2. Powerless subwoofer.. just 100W, I can't feel the effect.
(Since subwoofers produce low frequency sound and high frequency sound on same volume feels much louder.)
3. Confusing remote control, gosh I spend 4 hours to figure out and first time in my life I read manual.
4. Cables for speakers have special connector to connect to central unit. if you need to place Rear speakers far back and supplied cable is small, you can't use simple speaker cable.

Over all I would say it's an entry level home theater, but expensive(399.00 + tax or delivery). It would have been a nice one if they would have included a powerful subwoofer. Doesn't give me what I expected. I've decided to return it.
