Summary: Nice surprise
Review: Mother of two,saw the movie on Friday 10/26 with my 8 yr old daughter.

What a nice surprise. Lance Bass is charming as the boy who can't get the girl, Joey and the other friends are hilarious in their attempts to date all of the girls in metro Chicago. Dialogue is witty in sections and the story line (while trivial) has a definite boost from all the sweetness. It was a pleasant 90 minutes, I am still singing the Al Green songs! Finally a movie that I can see with both my daughters! (14 & 8)

I have to agree with the previous reviewer who said one of the glaring negatives is the POOR dubbing of the curse words in order to get a PG rating. It was annoying.

Summary: Coming straight from a GUY who saw it on opening day...
Review: Yeah, I'm a guy and I obsess over Britney Spears and *NSync, both for their music. More Britney, but...Anyway, I have to say it was pretty impressive. There was a VERY small bit of language (S***) but it's said quickly and unclearly. Lance and Joey both ARE pretty good actors. They should be getting lots of praise. For people who like teen pop and or NSync, there is new NSync music in the movie and soundtrack as well as Britney Spears, Melissa Lefton, and Al Green (!) Actually, the girl that was on the train and Lance (Kevin Gibbons) both like Al. At least in the movie. I've actually seen the movie, and it's pretty good. Actually, I'm seeing it again.

Summary: A horrid piece of putrid (...)!!
Review: What in the world ever possessed 2 boy band members to think they could act!!?? It seems Mariah Carey has some stiff competition for the worst actor/actress ever. In a move befitting 2 members of the cliched and overhyped band nsync, they (why mention names, they're all the same) star in this wannabe romantic comedy about finding the girl of your dreams. Okay, simple enough, but forget about any semblance of story, screenplay, acting or any element of mise-en-scene, this movie (if you can even call it a movie) is pure smarmy (...)! I long for the day when these new so called romantic comedies will just vanish from the face of the earth in the hopes that a new breed of romantic comedies will emerge, ones that pay homage to the great romance films from Frank Capra (It Happened One Night, Arsenic and Old Lace) and Howard Hawks (Bringing up Baby). But that will never happen as long as people like nsync continue to plague the entertainment industry. There is no need to comment on the story of this thing, it's so overused and predictable, you don't even need to see it to figure out the ending. Final point, singers SHOULD NOT try to act! It doesn't work, plain and simple, and on the line is a perfect example of the masters of non-acting at work!

Summary: Not bad!
Review: This movie was really cute. I don't think it was just made for NSYNC fans; I don't think of myself as a fan (although "Falling" is a very pretty song). I went to see it since I can't wait to see Serendipity, and they seem to have the same "looking for love" theme. I hope people don't avoid a perfectly sweet movie just because the main actors are also members of a musical group that they don't like. I won't go into detail of the plot--if you have seen the previews, you know most of the story, and you probably know how it ends. The subplot involving office politics was pretty interesting; we all know how much it sucks to have someone take credit for our ideas. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to get together with a group of your best friends and see a movie with a happy ending.

Summary: As someone who has actually SEEN this movie...
Review: ...I must say I was impressed. Let me back up -- On the Line opened this weekend (9/21/01) in Indianapolis; Miremax chose the city as a test audience. A friend and I (20-something college graduates -- NOT pre-teen *NSYNC fanatics) had seen previews for the movie over the summer, and we both thought it looked like a cute romantic comedy. When we found out it opened in Indianapolis (we live nearby), we decided to check it out, and we both loved it! Lance Bass held his own just fine in the leading role, and the humor kept the theatre audience laughing throughout the movie. That is not to say the movie didn't have a few weaknesses. Two stand out in my mind -- in what I can only assume is Miremax's attempt to keep the rating at PG, curse words have been dubbed, and rather poorly, in my opinion...perhaps this was only done for the test audience? Also, several supporting storylines with various characters get lost in the shuffle somewhat and do not develop enough to make the audience care too much about how they are resolved. Also, as with any romantic comedy, the ending is predictable, but who doesn't want to see the "good guy" win? That being said, however, I feel as though I must emphasize that the positives of On the Line FAR outweigh the few, minor negatives. For those people who think this is a "chick flick", think again -- much of the humor has a distinct male point of view, and the romantic element is sweet without being too sappy. For those people who think this is a movie that only *NSYNC fans would like, think again -- Bass and Joey Fatone own their roles as true actors do; they are not simply members of *NSYNC trying to appeal to the pre-teen masses. From what I understand, this is Mr. Bass's first attempt at movies, and he has done a commendable job. I highly recommend this movie to anyone (and I mean ANYONE -- regardless of age)who enjoys fun little romantic comedies along the lines of My Best Friend's Wedding and While You Were Sleeping.

Summary: A Feel-Good Movie
Review: On the Line is an absolutely wonderful movie. Kevin (Lance Bass) is a young guy who never seems to know what to say to any female around. He meets a girl on the L train and is so enchanted by her that he forgets to get her name and number. The rest of the movie is his attempt, along with his friends, to find her.

This movie is great. Lance is a good actor and Joey is nothing short of hilarious. They definitely prove they can do more than sing with *NSYNC. This is a sweet love story with comedy thrown in to make it very entertaining. The songs played in the movie added a nice touch. They were just as good as the movie. Joey shows real talent in singing front and center. As part of *NSYNC fans don't really get a chance to hear Joey sing solo, but he sings a nice ballad in the movie and it is wonderful. He has a great voice. So does Lance, who sings at the beginning. This isn't a musical but music does play a part in it.

*NSYNC fan or not this is definitely a great movie and one you will enjoy. It is a feel-good movie. A movie to be watched again and again.

Summary: This will be a major hit!!
Review: When the trailer first started coming on I was like "cool" when I saw Lance and Joey. This looks like anybody can enjoy this whether or not they like NSYNC or not. Don't diss the movie if you haven't seen it yet. You may prove yourself wrong.

Summary: "On the Line" is going to be really cute
Review: I just want to say that I am a HUGE *NSync fan, and Lance Bass is the cutest, sweetest guy around. I have seen the trailers and read the story lines and I think that "On the Line" is going to be a really sweet movie. I am not just saying this because I am a fan of the group, I would go see the movie even if Lance was NOT going to be in it. My friends and I are very excited about it and we plan to go see it the day of it's release! I hope that you will go see it too!
