Summary: Potential Classic
Review: It has all the elements to being a classic, the funny man with a broken heart, the suave man on the go too busy to have a serious relationship. Then there's the whole best friends and a woman in between, who does she pick? The actors in this movie solidified the storyline to make it into a potential classic. Jason Lee and the sarcastic humor and David Schwimmer playing a non-dorky character was a nice switch that he pulled off magnificently. So buy it or rent it, just get your hands on this movie.

Summary: It's a nice one, despite the negative reviews I have read.
Review: It may have had the recycled love triangle theme & it may have been predictable despite the mystery they tried to build for the most part of it, but it was a nice, funny, romantic love story afterall. Besides, Max's speech which was derived from that long-forgotten literature he finally read, hit straight home.

True love cannot be found in a place where it does not exist. & it can neither be hidden when it truly exists.

I refuse to accept that this movie should only be patronized by the young people. Matured ones, despite your disillussionments in life, you above all should understand the concept of love & identify if it has finally struck your hearts.

Summary: Predictable yet hysterical. Best dialogue since Swingers

Summary: Can't Get Any Better
Review: The best movie that I have ever seen. Kissing a fool has a sort of comedy that not everyone gets, you know who you are. Basically, David Schwimmer playes a total opposite role than in any other movie or televion show he is in. Jason Lee plays the role of the sensitive guy which is rather unusual but he still has his strong comedy points in the movie. Above all it is a movie that is wonderful to [take]movie quotes from and use them as your own.

I saw this movie when it came out in the theaters for the whole week that it was out. But it just goes to show that any movie that gets bad reviews must be wonderful.

Summary: Not Bad...But It Could Have Been Better
Review: There were parts of this movie that I truly enjoyed. Parts that cracked me up...especially the "What uh-uh-uh-uh-up!" message that Max leaves on Jay's answering machine. Something about that is just hilarious. Other parts of the movie were not so likeable. Such as the narrative character played by Bonnie Hunt. The whole idea of pretty much giving away the ending at the very beginning of the movie was not a good idea. Neither was portraying Max as an insensitive jerk because it leads you to wonder how someone as sensitive as Jay could be friends with someone as thoroughly unlikable as Max. They would have done better to make Max more confused and less slimy.

I rented this movie because I am a huge Jason Lee fan. This was a nice break from the chronically sarcastic roles he has played in the past. Although, the sensitive artist angle was kind of hard for me to believe coming from him. He plays the sarcastic roles a little bit easier I think.

I don't have much to say on David Schwimmer's acting in this movie. I can say that it was a lot different from his role on "Friends."

It's worth seeing...at least once.

Let's see, 2 people are unhappy with the review that I gave it. Would it help if I mention that even though I think the movie is flawed, I still bought it on VHS?

Summary: Drop the Schwim
Review: There's one thing that I think could've raised this film to the "great" standard: the loss of David Schwimmer. Just like in Friends, he is annoying in every way. He tries to play the bad boy, but he's just an annoying little dweeb trying to play a bad boy. However, Jason Lee is very very good. He tones down his irreverant humor from Chasing Amy and plays the sweet, straight guy and it works very well considering the material he was given. Mili Avital is quite radiant and very good in her part, and it brings depth to the pretty thinly written characters.

The true problem in ths movie is that it really doesn't make you wonder about the ending. That's okay though, because the movie is so cool and sweet at times that it makes up for any lackings in the writing. Doug Ellin directs with a steady hand that keeps the pacing moving along, which never allows the film to be slow. This is a very entertaining movie that you can enjoy by yourself or with your significant other. Just about everyone can enjoy this story. Also, in closing, Bonnie Hunt proves that she is one of the most underrated comedic actresses working in Hollywood today. Hunt is extremely funny reading lines that shouldn't even be as funny as they are. This movie will make you smile, and that's what it intended to do.

Summary: What up?
Review: This is an absolute treasure of a romantic comedy in which you are sure to love. David Schwimmer is hilarious while portraying his male chauvinist character to perfection. Jason Lee does an outstanding job of playing his best friend, the guy who is asked to hit on Schwimmer's fiance. This twisted comedy is sure to leave your sides hurting. Buy it, trust me, you'll love it.

Summary: Kissing a Fool: Maybe predictable, but not the writing
Review: This movie should not be rented if you are in for a suspenseful flick. This movie is a COMEDY. That means that you watch if for the funny dialogue, great acting, and humorous situations. You do not watch if to find out what happens at the end. Has anybody seen Tommy Boy? Did anyone really wonder if he was going to be able to sell those brake pads? And it still was considered by many a hilarious comedy. Jason Lee is a very good actor, portraying his talents in many a Kevin Smith movie. He is a fantastic dry humor artist. AGAIN: IF you are a person who wants to see a movie without a predictable ending, go pick up Memento, Arlington Road, or Fallen. If you want a COMEDY, which this is, to laugh at, get this! It is well worth the money.
