Review: Don't let Jennifer Aniston deter you from this flick! Skye and Astin are great. The intellectual repartee at first seems forced, but you end up intrigued by these two main characters. Okay, so parts of it are hokey - but you find yourself wishing it really did happen this way in real life. Ione Skye is mesmerizing. Great supporting cast. Great literary references/quotes, good arguments for holding out until you find your true love rather than settle for "anything less than extraordinary."

Summary: I wish they made more romantic comedies
Review: Likeable characters and supporting cast. I enjoyed the intelligent banter between Skye and Astin. Astin played his character perfectly-- he played a nice guy without losing his appeal as a leading man. I wanted to see further into their future together. Somehow, I felt that they would be together forever.Jennifer Aniston had only a supporting role. The strength of this movie came from the connection of the two main characters. Maybe not oscar material but it is exactly what it appears to be... a good romantic comedy.

Review: this movie was one of the best i have seen in a great while. it is a hopeless love story about a woman who cant sleep and a man who cant write .she helps fill his mind with toughts and he helps her to put her mind at rest for the night. it shows you just how powerful the power of love truely is! it is also one of the very few love stories thati believe even a guy wouldnt mind watching.

Summary: it's what's inside that counts
Review: according to some this movie lacks star quality. mabye these people did not look deeply enough into the underlying meaning of this film. it is about an aspiring actress, frankie, and her search for her soul mate and true love, which she finds in sir david schrader. i enjoy the quotes in this film above all, and the fact that jennifer aniston does NOT have the lead makes it all the more appealing.

Summary: Great for all you hopless romantics!
Review: Unfortunately, I have read numerous terrible reviews of this movie but, I have to disagree with them. I understand that this movie lacks in many aspects when comparing it to the "big budget" movies of the day and that the "movie reviewers" have an obligation to trash movies that aren't complex both technically and script wise. I feel in love with this movie and since first watching it 6 months ago, I have showed it to over 20 people...all who have fallen in love with "Dream for an Insomniac". The movie is perfect for all of you hopeless romantics who are wishing upon that star for your soulmate to enter your life and "make everything wonderful". Who cares if it isn't realistic!!! Sometimes we all need a little magic in our lives...that's where movies come in.

Review: I rented this movie by chance and I fell in love with it!!! I love the characters in the movie and the dialoge and setting are a refreshing change to the ordianry romantic comendy...when it's over you can't help but be smiling.

Review: What can I say about this movie other than I loved it. The acting was natural. Mackenzie Astin as Ione Skye's love interest reminded me of someone I used to be infatuated with, only in the movie I could vicariously live through Frankie (Ione Skye) and get into his heart. Skye's classic beauty and grace was refreshing. This movie absolutely took my breath away. Its the only film that makes me smile every time I watch it.

Review: Ione Skye puts forth a spell-binding, intoxicating performance as Frankie, the orphaned-girl lost without her Sinatra obsessed Parents, the insomniac, the believer of dreams and true love, the power of destiny. Always told she needs to disinquish dreams(love) from reality, she replies : if you only dream when you are asleep, when you wake up there is nothing there. Not a fluffy love story but a love story that goes deep and tragic, yet holds your hand the entire way thru til you find the truth. Perhaps even within yourself. WITTY and INTELLIGENT Ione Skye's character, Frankie asks: " Why not". Shouldn't we all, before giving up so easily.?! (and those outfits ooo-la-la)... an intelligent love story. Food for the soul.
