Summary: Cute
Review: First put on your best British accent. As you read this review, it might seem the review is much better than if you read it with an American accent, which is exactly what happened with "Two Weeks Notice." Without Hugh grant, this movie would have been the same old romantic comedy with the always charming Sandra Bullock. Although it would have been better than any J-lo movie, it would not have been half as good as it was. Hugh Grant has an amazing gift that lets him make anyone laugh; maybe it's his sarcasm and his perverted sense of humor; or maybe it's his British accent. He and Bullock had great chemistry and were extremely funny together. Bottom line: Hugh Grant could probably make reading the dictionary funny and perverted; imagine what he could do with Sandra Bullock.

Summary: Two Weeks Notice
Review: This movie has more laughs than it shows in the trailer of the film. It stars Sandra Bullock ( Miss Congeniality, Murder By Numbers, While You Were Sleeping and Speed ) and Hugh Grant ( About A Boy, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Nine Months and Notting Hill ). The pair make such a good team in this movies by deliverying non-stop humour.

Sandra Bullock plays her role well in this movie making it her funniests movies of hers ever. She also Produces this movie. Marc Laurence directed and wrote this film. He also wrote the screen play for "Miss Congeniality".

This is a heartwarming Funny movie which will make u feel good after seeing it. I strongly Recomend this to anyone.

I am 13 just using the kids form.

Summary: The Furies
Review: Good, Light Romantic Comedies are few and far between as are actors capable of pulling them off. The days of Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Katherine Hepburn, Carole Lombard, etc are long gone. Once in a while though, moviemakers come up with a good one and "Two Weeks Notice" is one of them: substantially helped along with the Charisma, Charm and talent of Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant.
Even though I was a fan of Bullock's "Murder One," most want to see her only in these light comedies as in her hit last year with "Miss Congeniality." And Bullock has the business-savvy and intelligence to hire the best writers and directors as in Marc Lawrence here.
The story of "Two Weeks Notice" is a trifle: filled with witty repartee between Grant and Bullock and involving a love/hate relationship standard in this type of genre film. With so many of last year's films turning out so deadly serious, this is a relief and a palliative to all that earnestness. Ditto with J-Lo's "Maid in Manhattan."

"Two Weeks Notice will provide you with an hour-and-a-half of smart, funny dialogue performed by two of the best practitioners of this difficult art. And whereas many current comedies require that you leave your brain parked outside at the curb, this one requires that you bring it in the theater with you.

Summary: Not a Bad Tweak to the Formula¿
Review: Starring Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant you know this one will be good...
Another romantic comedy set once again in New York (apparently the town where all the action is), Bullock and Grant take their stab at the ever-so-popular romantic comedy to good results.

THE STORY:

Lucy Kelson (Bullock) is an activist/environmentalist/all-around defender of the little guy lawyer who takes a job as the corporate attorney for billionaire playboy/nice-guy-but unintentional capitalist pig George Wade as an attempt to save the community center that is condemned in favor of a development project by Wade's huge conglomerate. Naturally on opposite sides of the fence at first, as the year goes by both Lucy and George slowly find themselves becoming interdependent on one another for everything as the sparks slowly but surely start to fly between them.

THE ANALYSIS:

This is NOT your connect-the-dots type of love story which really appeals to me (being a connoisseur of the genre). Yes of course you know how the movie ends and yes some of the inevitable plot twists occur but it's the little things that set it apart that make this movie stand out from others in the genre. Bullock's rival for George is actually a pretty decent gal and not the stereotypical you-know-what. Plus, the "little things" that occur during George and Lucy's relationship as it develops are actually well played out. One scene that stands out in my mind is the little "lunch business meeting" the two had which was strictly business and professional but well played out as to give that "they're gonna hook up" vibe. Overall you should come out of this movie pleased.

BEST SCENES:

1. Stuck in the bathroom

2. "Gotta go and it's rush hour"/trailor home

3. The aforementioned lunch business meeting

4. Extreme Tennis

5. Chinese take out

VERDICT:

Overall, you'll get a nice kick out of Grant and Bullock's take on the romantic comedy. This movie of course works best for couples on a date or the younger crowds looking for a flick to spend the night or weekend away on. You should come out of this saying, "that was cute" or "that was a good one." Besides, it's Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant so you know it's good.

Highly Recommended

Summary: Better than one may think
Review: For all the hype of Maid in Manhattan, compared to Two Weeks Notice it is a "disaster." In Two Weeks Notice a relationship and bond between George(Hugh Grant) and Lucy(Sandra Bullock) develop throughout a period of time. They began to understand and respect one another. Whereas the two leads in Maid in Manhattan shared no spark or relationship beyond one conversation at a decent length and a night of passion where lies and deceit are tied in between. The comedy and romance in Two Weeks Notice were witty and believable. Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock delivers a great performance and has wonderful timing during either the comedic tiffs and bickering or the sentimental monologues. I would definitely recommend Two Weeks Notice to other viewers and I highly advise viewers to buy the movie when it comes out on DVD or VHS.

Summary: Three and a half stars!
Review: Here's a fairly cliched plot redeemed by some acerbic wit, Sandra Bullock's wonderful physical comedy, and Hugh Grant's nicely controlled performance as a wealthy nitwit construction mogul. The movie works because the two stars have good chemistry and play off each other well. The ending is a foregone conclusion, but it's entertaining to see how these two get there.

What's a little scary is to see that Alicia Witt, a talented young actress and gifted pianist (remember Cybil's sardonic, red-haired daughter on her last TV series?) has gone the route of too many Hollywood actresses and looks, in this movie, alarmingly thin. When you're so acutely aware of the bones in a performer's chest that you scarcely notice her performance, something's very wrong.

This is a pleasantly entertaining movie; nothing challenging. Some good laughs and good performances elevate this one to above average. Be sure to look out for Norah Jones (the terrific young jazz singer-pianist) doing a too-brief stint with a track ("The Nearness of You") from her new album Come Away With me.

Summary: One of the best movies I have seen in a while
Review: This movie was so good, I not only went to see it once with some friends, I got some more friends together and went a second time. Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock have great on screen chemistry. The movie is very entertaining and makes you fall in love with both characters. I urge everyone to give this movie a chance. Its something both men and women would like. I know I did!

Summary: Another one of these
Review: This movie was ok but this exact set up was used at least twice just this year alone! A wealthy/powerful man and a maid/subordinate at first they fight and then they realize that they love each other. This was used almost identicatlly in Blue Crush and in Maid in Manhattan. I'm giving it 3 stars for lack of originality.

Summary: I already saw this once....
Review: I gave it two stars and i was being kind. Simply because I saw "the ring" and gave it one star and did enjoy it more than that. But this movie is so predictable. Maybe its because I've seen this before. yes it was in "you've got mail." Two rich and professional people who in the begining dispise each other while one of them is in a relationship with another. About half way through the protagonist who's in the relationship miraculously drops the 'lover-we-never-see' and realizes how much she loves our other main character. But they save it all for the end with the big "oh i've always felt this way kiss"
Sadly predicatable and loaded with a lot of dry humor, this movie wasn't at all what I expected, it was worse. Sadly, Sandra's 'girl next door good looks' and Hugh's quick oneliners weren't enough to rescue this movie from its date with Blockbuster.
