Rating: Summary: "Chick Flick" strikes again Review: This movie was so boring and predictable. Jennifer Lopez wasn't bad at all, but Italian - not bloody likely. They should have done a Latino family it would have helped.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: The movie is great. Jennifer and Mathew are great actors. You're gonna laugh and cry at the same time. Buy it you're gonna like it.
Rating: Summary: "Hillarious, Romantic and Witty Comedy at It's Best" Review: Jennifer Lopez is absolutely stunning and beautiful in the romantic comedy, "The Wedding Planner." In this hillarious and witty comedy, Lopez plays the role of a workaholic wedding planner who is an expert at bringing other couples together through the bonds of harmonious matrimony, but a "hopeless" romantic with no one to love in her own personal spare time. Both Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey give stellar performances in this thoughtfully planned out, humorous and insightful love story. "A modern day Romeo and Juliet." The Long Beach Arts, Entertainment and Literary Review respectfully gives "The Wedding Planner" two thumbs up. This film is definitely a must see! *The Long Beach Arts, Entertainment & Literary Review

Rating: Summary: You go, J-Lo. Review: Undeniably romantic, undeniably dumb comedy about a wedding planner (J-Lo, as we apparently must now call her) who commits a grave no-no: falling for the groom of the wedding she's planning. With a storyline as delirious as this, all you can hope for is the ability of the performers to charm you: 1) Matthew McConaughey delivers yet another performance that is as bland and safe as vanilla ice-milk, continuing his mission to be the Ryan O'Neal of his generation. 2) Bridget Sampras-Wilson can't act, and her nostrils are too big. 3) The guy who plays J-Lo's dad -- was he supposed to be Italian? Sheesh. 4) Justin Chambers, who plays J-Lo's rival love interest. Now this fellow actually brings something to his thankless role . . . some original characterization, some actual feeling. Near the end, when he makes his final play for J-Lo, it's easy to see why she considers marrying him . . . making one wonder what the heck she sees in Matthew McVanilla. 5) J-Lo is stunningly beautiful, so if you're a guy like me, you're already rooting for her. She's charming, too. Sexy and nice. BUT (no pun intended) -- big problem -- how has a woman like this been overlooked, i.e., always the wedding planner, never the bride? Well, as I said, this movie is undeniably dumb, and treats its viewers the same way.
Rating: Summary: Cute little romantic flic Review: I have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first and it was a little difficult convincing my boyfriend that we should watch this movie. I am not a big fan of either Jennifer Lopez or Matthew McConaughey, so it had to be pretty good to win me over. What I really found was a really cute movie about a little girl who was all grown up and since she hasn't been lucky in love, she worked to plan the most elaborate wedding celebrations for everyone else. She thinks she meets Mr. Right and finds out that he is already engaged and she is planning his wedding!! As this movie is somewhat predictable it is the perfect romantic comedy that has you rooting for love to conquer all. If this is the type of movie you usually like.....definately get it. And by the way, even though some people classify it as a "chic-flic", I think my boyfriend enjoyed it also!
Rating: Summary: A darling of a comedy Review: Okay, I admit it....I just love romantic comedies! And this was one of the best I've seen. I've watched this movie over and over with my friends--even my 11 year old brother loves it! This is one of those rare movies whose fans really do cross generational lines! And for fans of Matthew McConaughey you will NOT want to miss this flick! Even Jennifer Lopez, who is not normally one of my favorite actresses, is perfect for her role. I cannot recommend this movie enough--one of the funniest movies I've ever seen!
Rating: Summary: Charming and Hilarious Review: "You know that old saying, 'Those who can't teach, learn'? Well, those who can't wed... plan!" Such is the motto of Jennifer Lopez's character in "The Wedding Planner," the most charming film to hit the big screen in a long time. The story follows the life of a young woman who has always had a passion for planning weddings, from the first instance of a Barbie celebration in the opening credits, to her undertaking of the biggest, most expensive, and most elusive wedding ever planned. Only one problem. She has unknowingly fallen in love with the groom! What follows is a hilarious and yet often touching drama of trial and error as both wedding planner and would-be-groom attempt to straighten out their feelings. The movie translates well to the DVD disk and includes several short featurettes, trailers, missing scenes, commentaries, and more. I was not pleased with the Director's Commentary, which involves much more profane language than the film itself, but much enjoyed the other highlights. The film is well worth your time... and the "goodies" that the DVD employs guarantee a thumbs-up.
Rating: Summary: ok Review: I think that it was a great movie, if you like stuff like that Jennifer Lopez usaly plays in better movies than what she did. To me as a fan of Jennifer I think that she could have PROBABLY done better. But on the other hand she did ok.
Rating: Summary: Cute chick flick! Review: I enjoyed this sweet chick flick. The comic timing is well precise and there is great chemistry between J. Lo and Matthew McCoughaney. OK, so the plot is a bit cheesy -- Mary (J. Lo), a workaholic and perfectionist wedding planner falls for one of the grooms -- but what's great about the film is that the bride-to-be isn't a villain and therefore the attraction between Steve and Mary could be justified, like it happens in most films. Also, all the characters are adorable. I recommend this film to all chicks. Get together with some cocktails and snacks and enjoy!
