Rating: Summary: Excellent DVD Review: Fantastic romantic comedy DVD, great for that "date night". Lopez is funny, the script is good and overall the film puts you in a very romantic mood. DVD is in good quality and plays well. Special features are ok too, some deleted scenes.
Rating: Summary: Lopez is the phoniest talent of all time Review: Jennifer Lopez is the most overrated, so-called talent of all time. Her acting is even worse than her singing. The day that the public gets sick of seeing her is too soon for me. I love movies, but I'll never walk into a theatre if she is so much as an extra among ten million people seen at a distance of 10,000 miles.
Rating: Summary: 4-1/2 stars -- One of Jen's more accessible movies Review: A lot of times when an artist decides to make the jump to movies, the quality of his/her albums falter. Sometimes it seems like Jennifer Lopez has the opposite problem -- either that, or the movies don't make a lot of sense. Fortunately that problem doesn't apply here.Jennifer plays Mary Fiore, a single wedding planner who her father, Salvatore (Alex Rocco), desperately tries to set up with Massimo Lenzetti (Justin Chambers), a childhood friend of sorts. After a while Massimo even gives everyone else the idea that he and Mary are engaged. If things aren't hectic enough as it is, Mary's latest wedding involves Steven "Eddie" Edison (Matthew McConaughey), a man she met at the park that appeared to be single and coming on to her. I enjoyed everything about this movie, although I couldn't understand why it took Mary so long to tell Eddie that she and Massimo weren't really engaged. Regardless of that, The Wedding Planner should stay in your DVD player for a long time.
Rating: Summary: A Cute Film Review: "The Wedding Planner" is a cute film that centers around the life of Mary, a wedding planner. It's no doubt that Mary can plan an incredible wedding; however, she seems to be unable to her own Prince Charming. Then she finds him. The only problem is, he is the groom in a huge and important wedding she's planning. This is a feel-good movie that makes you believe that you can find love anywhere. Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey did great jobs in their roles, and had great chemistry together. If you want to feel all "warm and fuzzy" inside, watch this film. It'll definitely bring a smile to your face!
Rating: Summary: One of my all time favorite movies Review: Ok, I won't go into what the moie was baout because I think the other reviewers already did a great job of that, and I don't want to just repeat it. I just adored this movie! It was funny, and sweet. I think it's a great gift for a bride-to-be. I loved the ending, but I wish it didn't end where it did, I mean that I wish they would have shown more. Overal a great movie, great date movie.
Rating: Summary: very touching -- not what I expected at all Review: I thought this would be insipid romantic fluff but it really is much more than that. I would have enjoyed this film much more if "Dr. Steve"/"Eddie" (Matthew McConoughey) was not an engaged man cheating in his heart with the wedding planner (Jennifer Lopez). Lopez plays Italian-American Mary, a wedding planner who executes gorgeous romantic events and then goes home to her lonely empty apartment. It has been years since she has had a date, and there is foreshadowing that something traumatic in her last relationship has led to this. Mary's Old-World father is trying to get her to marry a nice boy from Italy whom he has selected when she suddenly meets Dr. Steve on the streets of San Francisco. She falls (literally) for him, only to discover the next day that he is also known as Eddie, the groom of the latest wedding she has been hired to plan. Mary likes Fran, the bride-to-be, and has no intention of doing anything to her, although Eddie has no problems with that. It's supposed to be so romantic but in reality he is just toying with both women. The worst scene, in my mind, is when Mary is riding in the backseat of the car with the engaged couple to check out a site for the wedding -- it's part of her job, so she has to. She's having some girl-talk with Fran about the last date she was on (with Eddie, but before she knew about his engagement), and Fran is holding Eddie's hand in front of her. Of course, Fran has no idea it's the same guy, and she is shocked when she learns about the treatment Mary received from this mystery guy. Eddie looks very uncomfortable, but he brought it all on himself so who cares?
Rating: Summary: Not What I Expected, Much Better! Review: I assumed that the only thing going for this movie was the top-notch celebrities because the plot seemed so Hollywood-hokey. Therefore, I had not interest in watching it until recently when nothing else was in at the library. I absolutely loved it! From now on I will keep an open mind because this was one of the best romantic comedies I have seen in years! I was never a fan of Matthew McConaughey or Jay-Lo before, but they both sparkled in this one. I think I even fell in love with Matthew for a second, he was so charming. Even my husband (who prefers action-packed violence and gore in flicks) enjoyed it. Thumbs up, 5 stars, A+, or whatever- The Wedding Planner will make you smile!
Rating: Summary: Flopper Review: Im sorry, but no. This movie was terrible. There was nothing interesting about this movie. Yes it was cute, but is that all Jenifer Lopez can do? I don't know why anyone likes Jenifer Lopez. Find a better script.
Rating: Summary: If you like a good laugh this movie is worth owning Review: This is a perfect movie to watch with friends while snuggled up with popcorn. Jennifer Lopez is fabulous with Matthew McConaughey who both are great in this romantic comedy. This movie not only keeps you laughing but it has a twist that will keep your mind turning. This movie is worth owning if you like a good laugh and wonderful acting.
