Rating: Summary: Sometimes You're Bored and Need a Mobster Flick to KILL Time Review: Ok, I'm not quite into 'Mobster' movies. In fact, you might say they all seem the same after awhile.I'm not saying this is the greatest or the worst movie. This movie is simply a good movie to rent. First, the story line is both funny and pretty unpredictable. That alone makes it stand-out.Secondly, the characters are developed enough to create a sense of wanting to know about each one. Walken is the central figure who is able to reveal tidbits about each guy in a psychological game that grabbed my attention. Finally, the balance of comedy and psycho fear make the ending worth the wait.In some strange way, the Sucide Kings when watched the second time around is even better because...well because knowing the ending let's you become a true Wise Guy.
Rating: Summary: Great flick! Review: This is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Esp. for a movie that was released straight to tape! Christoper Walken is always great. I've watched this one over twenty times and get the urge to watch it again every now and then. A must see for the price!
Rating: Summary: Finally something different Review: Not the usual good guy bad guy film, different and interesting.
Rating: Summary: You gotta be kidding me Review: This was one of the worst movies I've seen. Why? Because it has no idea what it is. All it knows is that it wants to grow up to be Quentin Tarantino, but it has no idea what that means or how to go about it. What are we meant to laugh at? What are we not meant to laugh at? This movie doesn't know. Unbelievable.
Rating: Summary: Suicide Kings, the perfect blend of suspense and comedy! Review: Suicide Kings is a witty comedy/suspense about of group of preppy 20-something year olds who kidnap a retired mobster, Charlie Bartolucci (Christopher Walken) when on of the groups sister is kidnapped by another party looking for $2 million. The idea is to use the retired mobsters connections to find Avery's sister. But when Bartolucci begins to turn the tables, the boys start to doubt their "perfect" plan. The ending could have been better but Walken's performance was excellent and Denis Leary added the extra missing touch. (Wondering where you've seen Henry Thomas's character, Avery? It's Eliot from E.T.)
Rating: Summary: A Great Flick, Nice extras on the DVD... Review: This film is a fun to watch on a dark and gray day. Excellent peformances by the cast. Well paced plot, with just enough twist and turns to keep you guessing. The extra scenes included on the DVD are well worth watching. A great addition to anyone's collection.
Rating: Summary: sound track Review: I was wondering if there was any way of getting a hold of the song "shattered" by Cinjun Tate, and Frankie Blue. If so please respond, it's a great song. oh ya the movie was good too. Thanks B.G.
Rating: Summary: What happened to this movie? Review: I saw one TV spot for this movie, and never even saw it playing at a theatre? Was I out sick that week? This is a hidden jewel. This movie is almost soley driven by dialogue. What a job! A very little bit of action tossed in to aide the story, but other than that it's all in the words. I can't write enough to do this justice. I mean really, the main character (Walken) was strapped in a chair almost the whole time and he still kicked @$$ in the role. I think there are a whole lot of moviegoers who lost out when they missed this movie. If you like a great script, at least rent this to give it a chance. (Then buy it) Don't pass it by. The alternate endings are cool, one of which I think was better than the chosen, though it isn't believable. I like this movie a little more everytime I see it.
Rating: Summary: In general a pretty decent movie. Review: First off this is defnitely a dark comedy, so if that sort of thing isn't your gig stay away. If you like dark comedy then this is definitely a worthwhile purchase. The premis is simple, A rich kid ticks off the wrong people, so they kidnap his sister. He and his friends decide the way to resolve this is to kidnap a former Mobster and use his money and ties to resolve the issue. This movie has several unique twists and turns that make it very interesting. The DVD itself is unremarkable, and definitely does nothing to justify the original list price. The movie I would give a 4 The DVD a 2 for an aggregate score of 3.
Rating: Summary: A must see movie Review: I love the plot of the movie. The cast is also incredible. A lot of familiar faces. The movie is cleverly planned out and funny too. I love this movie. You have to watch this movie. The ending was unpredictable. There were also many clues throughout the movie.
