Rating: Summary: Gripping Tale Review: This is one of the best action movies I have seen! Made more compelling by the plot line and great character development and portrayal. The theory that the CIA and MOSSAD conspired to neutralize "The Jackal", aka Ilyech Sanches Ramirez is most certainly factual, but the movie takes us past those facts to fill in the details of an adventure that is beyond our imagination. An Excellent movie!
Rating: Summary: The greatest spy thriller ever made Review: This movie bombed at the box office but is destined to become a cult classic. It's possibly Aidan Quinn's best performance to date. If you only expect to see him in good-guy roles, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Quinn plays the evil Carlos better than he plays Annibal. The ending is fascinating and open to about five different interpretations. Definitely make this your next movie "assignment".

Rating: Summary: A SMART THRILLER ! ! ! ! ! Review: This movie is one of the best thrillers I've seen.
If you like very smart and intense thrillers, then you should check this one out, but if you only like thrillers that are much more understandable, then you should check PHONE BOOTH.
Rating: Summary: Strong on Action, Equally Strong on Characterization Review: This underappreciated flick is a good choice when an above-average dose of characterization is needed with the more typical car chases, explosions, and bleeding bad guys. The special effects are not quite as well done as in bigger names in the Hollywood action genre, but the movie is no less compelling for it. The plot is intelligent and advances at a rapid clip, but not too rapidly to appreciate that the director sees real people behind the characters. Aidan Quinn delivers a believable performance as a reluctant hero deeply tormented by one particular kill-or-be-killed scenario in which there can be no satisfying course of action. (A similar but better crafted exploration of the psychological toll of undercover-type work is seen in Johnny Depp's excellent performance as Donnie Brasco.) Donald Sutherland, on the other hand, turns in his usual tedious performance as. . . well, Donald Sutherland. Altogether, this is an action flick a cut above the norm. Be sure to watch it from beginning to end -- there are several intriguing twists 'n' turns.
Rating: Summary: Better than surprisingly good. Review: Two great actors (Ben Kingsley, Donald Sutherland) and one really good one (Aidan Quinn) give superb performances in this tight as a string thriller involving spies, lies, and the one and only CARLOS.CIA man Jack Shaw (Sutherland) masterminds a plot to get Carlos, once and for all, when he stumbles upon Annabel Ramirez(Quinn) a Navy officer and a dead ringer for the Jackal. Absolutely non-stop action and suspense, this thriller never telegraphs it's punches, twisting and turning over and over. Highest recommendation.
Rating: Summary: Burn the spider ! Review: Undoubtfully Aidan Quinn SHINES in this movie. He is so cool. The movie is brilliant, the acting is superb, and most of the scenes are intruiging, fascinating, excellent... In my opinion, the cherry on the cake was the spider-web scenes, at the beginning and the end of the movie. Great idea !
Rating: Summary: Awesome, action-packed, very enjoyable! Worth renting. Review: Very nicely done action-packed, edge of seat type movie that I really enjoyed watching. Well-paced and Aiden Quinn was a great pick for the lead. Well-rounded supporting cast. Very realistic and believable. Ending left a little to be desired but all in all, excellent.
Rating: Summary: A must see for anyone into action flicks and thrillers! Review: With a cast of veteran actors, The Assignment comes together as a sleeper hit of 1997. If you haven't seen this one, get it!
