Rating: Summary: This movie is the 1998 Independent Sleeper Hit of the Year Review: It is amazing to watch vetreran Walken, matched up with some of great young stars of of the Independant scene. The comedic talent of Denis Leary also adds for a nice foil to this dark comedy about the "kidnapping of a young woman"
Rating: Summary: A great movie with an excellent cast. Review: I'm not usually a fan of independent films, but I loved this one. Its strength lies not in its plot, but in the casting. Dennis Leary in particular is great, even if he's merely playing himself. Christopher Walken is a satisfying antagonist (as always), and Jay Mohr is a good hero (or is he the hero?). There is a perfect blend of comedy and serious undertones. A very watchable movie.
Rating: Summary: A movie to watch time after time Review: I don't exactally know what made me watch this movie. I think my dad picked it up from some $5 bin and one day while bored out of my mind I picked it up a random movie and decided to watch it. But I am glad that I watched it for sure. It is a movie that I have literally watched twice in the last week (well that could be due to the fact that I have nothing better to do...) and cracked up thru both times. and everytime i watch this movie knowing the ending I am still questioning who the inside player is and how everything is going to end. basically it is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time and it is a movie tht i recommend to everyone who likes dar comedies and doesnt mind blood and cussing.
Rating: Summary: ENTIRE CAST IS GREAT! Review: I picked up this movie from a $5 bin at Walmart, but wasn't expecting it to be a great movie, since it was only $5, but I could not have been more mistaken! This is a really witty, smart movie, and everyone cast was right for the part. There, simply said, one of the best movies for the best price anywhere!
Rating: Summary: worth it on dvd Review: shocking moving story
with amazing sick visuals
like the finger getting cut off for numerous reasons
and Walken sees blood dripping on the floor and wonder where it comes from. the whole cast is great. Denis Leary and Walken add humor and sinisterness to the movie. a shocking but very touching and moving movie. worth the watch again and again on my dvd player. watched it 2 times. the movie is hilarious too at various parts in the movie. there is a lesson to be learned from this movie. and maybe you viewers will figure it out like I did. I don't want to give it away. we all have to work at it. that's what makes the lesson valuable. that we found it out for ourselves. glad so much that I got this on dvd. it too will also be seen spinned more and more on my player
Rating: Summary: Suicide Kings delivers the goods....Walken is still the man Review: Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter, The Dead Zone), who still is the man, is kidnapped by a group of rich kids because one of their friend's sister is supposedly kidnapped and they want Walken to get her back so they tie him to a chair for the most part of the movie and interrogate the hell out of him. The cast includes Denis Leary (Love Walked In, Judgment Night) as Walken's right hand man, Jeremy Sisto (Thirteen, Six Feet Under), Jay Mohr (GO, Last Comic Standing), Johnny Galecki (Roseanne, I Know What You Did Last Summer), Sean Patrick Flannery (Simply Irresistable, Eye See You) and Henry Thomas (E.T., All The Pretty Horses) as the kids who kidnap Walken. Walken once again, like he always does, gives the movie it's shabangabang and it's even funnier when he does it tied to a chair. Also starring Cliff DeYoung (Substitute, Dr. Giggles) and Brad Garrett (Finding Nemo, Everybody Loves Raymond).
Rating: Summary: Another Walken Classic Review: Chris Walken delivers once again. This movie involes a good plot and some great laughs. You won't be dissappointed.
Rating: Summary: You shouldn't have lied to your friends....... Review: I don't think you can go wrong w/Christopher Walken and Denis Leary in a movie, but I also though that about Dennis Leary and Steve Buscemi in Double Wammy (man was I wrong on that one). However, in Suicide Kings, the casting if perfect, Christopher Walken and Dennis Leary are marvelous. Hey Denis, I would wear those boots, but I would not pay $1,500 for them, those are some expensive boots, but I digress.
The story is simple; these kids kidnap a rich guy in order to obtain money. However, the characters in the movie are developed so phenomenally well it is amazing this is not a more popular movie. It reminded me a little of Usual Suspects in that fashion.
Everyone involved in the kidnapping are friends (they seem to be High School buddies, but that part of their relationship isn't established), and of course, there is a main reason objective for why they need the money. However, when it's found out someone w/in the group is playing both sides, everyone establishes a story, but someone is lying.
Christopher Walken, who plays the kidnapped mobster who they intend to get $2 million dollars from, and help them find out the source of the problem, manipulates the group until he can find out who the liar is, solve the puzzle, and get himself away from these kids before he kills them (or has them killed).
The movie is great. If you liked Usual Suspects, or are a big fan of Denis Leary or Christopher Walken, you will not be disappointed.
Grade: A
Rating: Summary: Christopher Walken the Great. Review: Great script, great directing, great acting, great movie. it is a blend of crime drama and thin satire. it combines very smoothly the abilities of great actors (Christopher Walken)with the exuberance of young prospects. and Dennis Leary was born for his role in this motion picture. this is a must have for any christopher walken fan, and movie lovers in general. you will not be dissapointed, especially with the deleted scenes and alternate endings extras. enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Too many "coulda's" Review: Christopher Walken has got to have one of the best on screen presents in all of hollywood, this movie is great about 5 guys who decide to kidnap a mobster(walken) for money supposedly they need to get a girlfriend back who has also been kidnaped.Well acted by all the cast, with an edge of your seat feel, this movie is well worth the price asked and then some.
