Summary: It's how you play the game
Review: I love it! The Best spy movie There is. Tony Scott is a great Director all of his movies rock like "Enemy of the State","The Last Boyscout","Crimson Tide". Redford and Pitt are great teamed up just like Hackman and Smith in Enemy of the State. This is one of those movie that you'll watch over and over again, trust me on this. ... A Five star movie!

Summary: 4 Star movie with a 2 Star DVD production
Review: This is the second of two Redford films released in 2001; it's better than "The Last Castle", maybe because Redford chose his second of the two character types that he likes to play...in this one he plays the "the charming con man" (The Sting, Butch & the..., etc., etc.)

The film will hold your interest - fading back and forth from past to present, with some terrific cinematography. Brad Pitt holds his own as a man true to his principles, and a creature of puppeteer Redford's making. Neither character ages believably in the film, however....Brad and Robert can't pull off their younger characters in Vietnam based on their appearance. Tony Scott is a fine director, and many of the DVD features are enhanced by his contributions.

Wow - the DVD itself .... Read on to other reviews. There is a closed captioning problem, and the navigation and design is very poor. I think Universal did the DVD...hope they are reading all these comments and planning a new version, if they want this film to be purchased, not rented.

Advice...rent, don't purchase. Prepare to be annoyed by the operation of the DVD and caught up in the storyline!

Summary: Almost a five-star rating from me.
Review: Are we seeing Brad Pitt as a young ROB Redford? Great combo. Reminded me of "Sneakers" with more of a CIA twist. This movie
keeps you going, trying to figure out what Redford will try next.
It's a keeper for my collection. As for recommends to "Training Day"---pass---that was one that started great and went dud.

Summary: A Thinking Man's Movie
Review: What a great mind twisting movie. While Robert Redford and Brad Pitt's characters run the gamut of teacher-student to friends to former friends they still understand what each other is all about. As the movie moves into its final stages and the cloak and dagger picks up it becomes even more engrossing. This is a move, somewhat, in the vein of "Sneaker" with the little, individual agent, running against the grain of the agency.

A very good movie, recommended to anyone who likes the double cross, triple cross type suprise or the little man outsmarting the big arrogant man.

Buy it - view it - enjoy it.

Summary: Incredible, awesome DTS soundtrack
Review: Having been a long time fan of 3 days of the Condor, I was very excited when I saw this movie's trailer for the first time. The movie is great, a little confusing the first time you see it, since the most recent scene in the movie was in something like 1979. So if you think that it is happening in the present, it is not.

Told through a series of flashbacks, as well as a quick-paced front-story, the movie has a great flow to it.

The soundtrack is simply amazing. I am so glad that I got a DTS as well as DD reciever. This movie makes it worth it. If you like spy movies, Robert Redford, or Brad Pitt, you will like this movie.

Summary: I Went To See This Moovy....
Review: ...but I can't remember anything about it for the life of me, except that Redford looked craggy-faced and tired, in my opinion,
and Pitt was a lil less goofy in this story. Many times the actors in a moovy would keep me 'into' a story I consider to be dull, otherwise. It did not do it for me this time....

Summary: Good intense thriller
Review: Nathan Muir(Redford) must save Tom Bishop(Pitt) a CIA agent whose op fails and he is captured by chinese authorities when he tried to rescue a friend and lover who was captive in a prision.

The chinese authorities decides that the agent must die in 24 hours and that's the time have Muir to rescue him fighting against the CIA breaking rules and also their own fears.

A good action intense film.

Summary: Good movie, Bad DVD
Review: The movie was above average, but the technical difficulties with the DVD were unacceptable. The captioning turns itself on many times during the movie and is so distracting that I returned the DVD. Based on other reviews, it is apparent that the problem is not isolated to my particular DVD. Considering the problems associated with this product, I'm surprised that it hasn't been pulled from the market.
