Summary: The Best Two-Girl Kiss Ever!
Review: This movie features the best two-girl kiss I've ever seen in a mainstream movie. Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, a supermodel, smooches deliciously with Rie Rasmussen -- who is even more gorgeous than Rebecca. Wow!Rebecca strips and seductively rubs herself against -- and on top of -- Antonio Banderas, her primary love interest. Rebecca also shows off her luscious body numerous times in sexy lingerie, and topless underwater. Without giving away the plot, the storyline has two endings, the second one softer and more happy. Rebecca plays a thief who double-crosses her partners and looks over her shoulder for seven years. Antonio portrays a photographer who isn't too bright upstairs (good casting). This movie won't be the best one you'll ever see. But it's good enough - to go along with a fantastic kiss! Enjoy.

Summary: Visually mesmerizing
Review: FEMME FATALE is, like THE SIXTH SENSE, MULHOLLAND DRIVE, THE OTHERS and HE LOVES ME, HE LOVES ME NOT, a film that capitalizes on a sudden change in perception that opens wide the eyes of the audience. Directed by Brian De Palma, it's a masterpiece of visual cinematic artistry. Drop-dead gorgeous Rebecca-Romijn-Stamos plays Laure Ash, the key member of a gang of thieves poised to snatch a piece of diamond-encrusted clothing off a super model in the Palais du Cinema at the Cannes film festival. (I use the word "clothing" loosely. It's more a revealing piece of jewelry, and something you'd allow your teenage daughter to wear to the prom only over your dead body.) In any case, Laure double-crosses her cohorts, leaving them to go to prison while she absconds with the rocks. Stashing the loot with a fence, Ash grasps a sudden opportunity to assume another identity and flies to the U.S., where she marries a Washington, D.C. insider. Seven years later, she returns to France a High Profile Figure, a situation that puts her in danger, especially after paparazzo Nicolas Bardo (Antonio Banderas) captures an image of her that's recognized by a former criminal associate, now released from prison and looking to get even and recover the swag. If the plot so far seems improbable, it is. But no matter, since the excellence of this film is in its sumptuous visual presentation, often with minimal or no dialog, during which the director makes effective use of slow motion and split screen perspectives. The viewers are deliberately left wondering what they're seeing. Then, once it's figured out, De Palma springs his "Gotcha!" FEMME FATALE is a stylish, intelligent and sexy make-believe story for adults. Several scenes with Ms. Stamos are steamily erotic, made even more attention-grabbing by the chameleon-like quality of the Ash character. I mean, by late in the film, isn't she supposed to be the elegant and proper wife of the ... (Whoops! I almost revealed too much.) And while I didn't care much about his screen persona one way or the other, Banderas is solid in a supporting role as the clueless photographer who pays a big price for a couple of snaps. As in THE SIXTH SENSE, there are clues that signpost the director's alternate reality. See the film and have some fun.

Summary: BORING, GOOD MUSIC AND BAD ACTING
Review: Straight to the point : excellent beginning (5 stars).....pretty steamy (in my opinion almost rated X). The plot is confusing when DePalma plays with backflashes (it needs more structure) and at the end theres is a twist. Some scenes are too hard to believe, the script is weak. Antonio Banderas needs to transform into the character he plays.

Summary: Femme Fatale
Review: Brian DePalma has a delightfully wicked sense of irony, and a twisted sense of humor which is sadly lacking and sorely missed in today's overly self-serious pop culture. This makes watching Femme Fatale feel fresh and exciting, even though such irony was a prime staple of movies in the '70's -- a decade largely regarded as DePalma's prime. That is when he directed Carrie, Phantom of the Paradise & Dressed to Kill, among others. The Femme Fatale in this movie is a diamond thief/con-artist named Laure who assumes the identity of another woman to escape some partners she double crossed. She is wonderfully evil, and great fun to watch as she manipulates the men around her using her body and her tears in order to get what she wants. But there is a great deal more of this movie to love. Brian DePalma delights in playing tricks with cinematic conventions both narrative and visual. His love for unusual camera angles is still present in this film, which delivers a plot that twists and turns as seductively as Laure's strip tease. I picked up clues as to one major plot twist early on, hoping I would be wrong. I was partly right, DePalma took something that would have left me groaning in lesser hands and twisted it so that I was laughing with delight as the climax approached. DePalma has also mellowed out a bit with this movie. Much of his prior films would feature gallons of bright red blood and gruesome, creative, deaths of beautiful women. This film keeps much of the fake blood away from the women, cutting away from any of their more potentially gruesome death scenes. This movie is highly rescommended to those who enjoy being surprised. Watch it. You may think you have it figured out, but there is no way anyone could guess the ending. As the credits start to roll, you will realise that you were in the hands of a cinematic master with an impish sense of humor.

Summary: Truly erotic and truly thrilling
Review: I thnk Brian DePalma invented the erotic thriller.
I don't mean the lamers that substitute blood for thrills and flashes of skin for eroticism. This film defines the genre.
DePalme weaves and intricate and initially confusing and incredible plot line then sprinkles hints and giveaways throughout the movie that leads to a wonderful surprise that will have you wondering why you did not guess it.
I love DePalmas blend of imagery, score and dialog, as another reviewer mentions, the score alone rates this film at 5 stars.
The story is mesmerizing and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos does a remarkable job in the dual role of Lilli/Laure.
When you get to the end you will want to watch it again immediately and if anything it is more enjoyable the second time around - can't say that about many mystery thrillers. Buy this movie and enjoy. I would buy the soundtrack CD in a heartbeat.

Review: While there was some enjoyment of the picture, the plot twist left me disappointed with the resolution. If you've ever seen the old tv soap-opera drama, "Dallas", then my title says it all regarding the final plot twist.

Summary: I guess a bad movie has to be made every year or so....
Review: I haven't seen many downright bad movies in my lifetime and if I do I usually don't comment on them but this movie just gave me absolutely no choice. It had a very promising title and with Stamos on the front how could I resist it. Halfway through the movie, I was thinking of all the other things I could be doing with my time. Plot is horrible, acting is horrible, and the cinematography made me feel like I was seeing double the entire movie. Don't get me wrong, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos is a work of art but I just don't think her acting can fill a lead role. Please don't waste your money.

Summary: Another DiPalma Disaster
Review: Don't get me wrong, I have liked DiPalma in the past; Carrie and The Untouchables come to mind as fine films he's made. This film though is a disaster. First, he falls into his old trap of trying to do Hitchcock better than the master. He clearly isn't up to the task. On top of this he has pasted on every cliche of French art film. But the real annoyance is the numerous times he resorts to cheap tricks for his suspense. You will not see the twists coming because they are so painfully illogical. And then the final insult...The "Dallas" trick. It was all a dream. Or a nightmare.

Summary: Get to the ending already!
Review: I tried to enjoy Femme Fatal, I really did. But this movie seemed to just drag on and on. Not only that, the plot of the movie was not really made clear until the end. Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and the other woman making out at the first of the movie was just plain nasty. Rebecca's good looks is why I give Femme Fatal a second star and I would give it 2.5 stars just to be nice. I don't understand why so many people raved over this movie unless they just liked seeing Rebecca almost nude. Still, I would recommend seeing Femme Fatal at least once to see what you think of it but don't watch it if you're feeling sleepy or just not in a good mood.
