Summary: "Hey, pig, you ever had your s__t pushed in?"
Review: Ha hah hah! That was a GREAT sequence and a funny line. Also good was when the talk of an insane man in court putting his hand down the back of his pants, back out and up to his mouth with fingers covered in s__t. But it wasn't s__t, it was PEANUT BUTTER! He was declared INSANE and released! Great performances throughout (including Snoop Dogg). King Kong ain't got nothin' on me!!

Summary: They messed up the ending.....
Review: I generally liked this movie. Good to great performances overall, but hey, look at the car as Denzel is about to get blown away at the end. Funny that not shortly before both the front and rear ends were totalled in the fight scene between him and Ethan. What happened, did he find a body shop in the middle of the night that did perfect work in five minutes? The damn car looks brand spankin new. This is what's always bothered me about "Training Day." If you're gonna spend so much time and energy making things realistic, why not cover all the bases?

Summary: MAN UP !!!
Review: I first saw this movie in the theater when it first came out. I didn't know really what to expect. But to this day I can still enjoy this movie like I was watching for the first time. Most women I know for some reason don't like this movie. Maybe because their dear Denzel shows his true talent in being an excellent heel in this movie. It's not your regular Denzel, well I guess it was the beginning of a change with movies like Out of Time and Man on Fire he was grimey in all of those movies. But it's a great movie one movie the fellas can enjoy any time of the day. Screw what the hateful ladies are bit%hing about kick back and enjoy and tell them by time your done cooking dinner the movie will be over.

Summary: Heart of Darkness
Review: This movie seethes with darkness. Denzel Washington gleefully as his character by the name of Alonzo Harris. Ethan Hawke plays Jake, the wide-eyed eager-to-please rookie that will do whatever it takes to join Alonzo's elite narcotics team.

The story is about two men who will go to almost any length to get what they want. Alonzo is basically a criminal with a badge, out to get other criminals by any means necessary, yet putting his own needs before the "sheep" he claims to protect. Jake wants to make detective, and follows Alonzo around doing his bidding to gain that coveted badge.

The story takes place in one day - because that's all Jake has to prove to Alonzo he's worthy of the job. It's a dreary rainy day in Los Angeles, a perfect way to emphasize the darkness possessed by Alonzo's soul. He is a man on a mission, and with his badge and bravado he rules the streets of LA.

Without giving anything away, the two actors are magnificent in this film. Both of them are completely believable in their roles. As a viewer, you sometimes find yourself agreeing with and sympathizing with Alonzo as he takes Jake down the dark road that lies ahead of them - until the end.

Denzel Washington won his first Academy Award as Best Actor (he won for Best Supporting Actor in Glory) playing the role of Alonzo. The film definitely stretches the boundaries of believability, but the acting and the enthralling storyline makes this a forgivable sin as we immerse ourselves in the darkness of Alonzo Harris for one day.

Summary: Good but maybe not realistic?
Review: I have to say I loved this film. Principally, because I empathised so much with Hawke's character that I spent at least the first hour of the film trying to make excuses for Washington's character's behaviour. Perhaps I am just slow or naive, but I genuinely could not decide whether Washington was good or evil or just human in this film until the last half hour or so, when it becomes very obvious. I was sitting there debating with myself; is that truly the only way to approach this? Is there no other? I study Criminology and as such, the film was fascinating. I make no pretence that it was a particularly deep or thought-provoking film, only that it did address issues that I am interested in.
I fully admit that I am no expert on crime on the streets of L.A. and so I make no judgement about how realistic this film was, except to say that while probably overdramatised, the issues raised are extremely relevant and far more common that you might believe.

Summary: A look on the other side
Review: The Game is Chess not Checkers

This movie is something everyone plays a good part on this movie. (as A actor or actress) It shows how crooket cops work in cases. But anyway Denzel plays the bad guy you can say. And he drives a rookie cop around the city. I think there in Cail maybe not. And shows him how to work but he is really trying to get money for these Russians. It's more to it than that but you get to see the ghetto gangs and even a mafia type gang. The real world you can say. And I will not tell too much of the movie but ya should like it's worth buying. Something to sit down and look at.

Summary: BEST EVA!!
Review: Well, I keep reading it was over the top. Hey if everything was "real" we'd have nothing but documenteries. Denzel's performace was truley amazing. The whole movie kept my full focus. Get down on your knees n that god for a lil mindless violence and a rather well done plot.
