Summary: incredible movie
Review: Seeing this movie in the theaters sent chills down my spine. This movie has incredible action scenes and enough suspense to keep you guessing until the very end.
I would explain the movie but I don't want to give it away... so here's the cryptic summary:
Ethan Hawke (Jake) is trying to get into the narcotics division of the police force on his way to making detective. The man in charge of the elite narcotics unit: Denzel WA (Alonzo). Alonzo tries to teach Jake how to survive and blend with scum in the streets, but the mystery questio behind it all is: is Alonzo REALLY fighting crime or is he using his powerful position for personal gain? Jake has moral conflictions with Alonzo's methods, but due to Alonzo's high crime-bustin' record Jake does what is asked of him in order to gain his respect. Every man has their breaking point- when will Jake decide enough is enough?
See this movie.

Review: I saw this movie in theaters and I have to say it is a must buy.. Washingtons "bad guy" in this movie is one of the best I have seen in a long time.. and the way it is so life like, is just outstanding... I would have to say there may be like a few errors or something but I didn't see any... last thing I have to say is: BUY THIS MOVIE NOW OR I WILL KICK U IN DA FACE

Summary: Ideal crimefighting-out the window!
Review: Denzil Washington has never played evil in all of the films featuring him. In Training Day LAPD Dectective Sgt Alonzo Harris is like NYPD Detective Sgt Nick Conklin (Michael Douglas in Black Rain), only this time one can look at Washington's character as Douglas' Conklin as being ultrarealist to the point where this time he is actually commiting crimes under the banner of justice.Ethan Hawke is the idealistic Detective Jake Hoyt who gets exposed to the dark side of fighting crime. His character is like the one who fights to maintain his own sense of morality in opposition to all the bad influences espoused by his shady mentor (Washington). The most important lesson we must learn from this film is that police officers are no more than the average working-class citizen. It shows how once-idealistic cops can really turn out rotten in fighting crime. The tense cinematic expressions notwithstanding, Training Day is a movie that shows all the real-life problems with local government and police agencies.

Summary: wrong side of the badge
Review: i saw this movie in theaters and i liked it. It shows you just how much many can be corrupted by power even cops. It proves that good officers and policeman can turn into vile monsters. Ethan Hawke also shows just how vulnerable and weak any one person can be. Theis film displays perfectly the tough life of a cop and the extraordinary normal he is. We think of cops as good and smart unable to crack and make wrong ddecisions and committ crimes because of there training at the Acadamey. Well let me tell you many cops can crack there training doesn't make them perfect or unable to do some stupid things. They are normal real human beings like us who can do some of the dumbest stuff ever.

Summary: Denzel's versatility
Review: I like the movies Denzel has worked on, but I only like a few of Denzel's roles, not because he's not an excellent actor, which he is, but these roles showed only one side of him. Always the goodie goodie. With this movie his choice of roles should expand greatly. Training Day was a wonderful role of versatility for Denzel. I was pleasantly shocked at the depth of the character Denzel portrayed here. He executed this role with precision. He should win an Oscar and Golden Globe for his role in this movie.

Summary: DJ Precise
Review: I feel this movie was an example of genius acting on Washington's part. Although a contrived story it makes for great entertainment. And for anyone complaining about realism. This is a movie! Realism mixed with unrealistic circumstances is what movies do best. If you want REAL realism throw a rock at a cop.

But as soon the young Rookie realize that his first day with his first partner is a Corrupted Detective, who doesn`t let no one gets in his way. The rookie has to play along with him to survive his horrific first day.

Summary: Stressful Day
Review: Money is the rule of all Evil. Even when your job and intentions is to serve and protect, there still is a good chance that temptations of money and power will lure you in a different direction, THE ROAD OF DESTRUCTION. Denzel Washington does a good job and he was believable. Ethan Hawke did a good job too. This movie is rough and Haunting, But it's realistic. Go See. One Love.
