Summary: UT! WHY NONE WARN ME ABOUT KEVIN BACON NUDE SCENE?!
Review: THIS WAS A VERY INTERESTING MOVIE. FULL OF MORE TWISTS AND TURNS THAN A ROLLERCOASTER FULL OF DRUNKEN NUNS, THIS STORY SWITCHES PLOTS QUICKER THAN CLINTON SWITCHES STORIES. BUT IT'S FUN, AND DENISE RICHARDS HAS A THREESOME WITH NEVE CAMPELL( THAT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST SENTENCE IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE *EVER*.) SO SHOULD YOU BUY THIS MOVIE? SURE. SHOULD YOU EXPECT THE PULITZER? PROBABLY NOT.

Summary: AN AMAZING THRILLER WITH ENDLESS TWISTS & TURNS
Review: TRASHY & SEDUCTIVE THRILLER THAT IS SENSATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT AND NEVER TAKES ITSELF TOO SERSIOULEY. MATT DILLON PLAYS SAM LOMBARDO, A HIGH SCHOOL GUIDENCE COUNCRLER WHO IS ACCUSED OF RAPING ONE OF HIS STUDENTS. BUT IN THIS WELL MADE COMPLEX STORY NOBODY IS WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE AND THERE'S MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE. KEVIN BACON IN A DIFFERENT AND WELL DONE PERFORMANCE AS A COP OBSESSED WITH TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THE ALLEGATIONS ARE TRUE OR FALSE AND ENDS UP JUST AS GUILTY. THE ENDING IS QUITE A SURPRISE, AND BILL MURRAY IS AMAZINGLY FUNNY AS A CROOKED LAWYER. ESPECALLY NEVE CAMPBELL WHO'S VERY SEXY IN THIS ROLE AND JUST RELISHS IN PLAYING A PART WHERE SHE'S NOT SO SQEAKY CLEAN. EVEN THOUGH ONE MISTAKE WAS CLEARLY NOTICABLE TO THE VIEWER WAS WHEN IN THE COURTROOM SCENE A MALE EXTRA GIVES THE THUMBS UP SIGN TO THE PANNING CAMERA.

Summary: Great plot twists
Review: This film is filled with the best plot twists that i have ever seen in a movie. It does have some great acting and some great suspense. I will not lie to you, this is a very steamy movie, and i kinda liked it! The 3-way scene is notorious, a classic, buy it just for that scene!!! But, even without that scene, i enjoyed the movie, it still would get 5 stars. Highly reccomended! 9.4 out of 10!

Summary: Sex and Steam in South Florida, Served with Twists
Review: Wild Things, a tawdry tale set in South Florida, is a story with more twists than corkscrew pasta, and is over-the-top good. Matt Dillon stars as guidance counselor Sam Lombardo of a public school in the town of Blue Bay, and is accused of rape by the luscious daughter (Denise Richards) of one of the wealthiest woman in town (Theresa Russell - It's incredible casting, because the mother and daughter look so alike.) Of course, Sam is a former paramour of the mother. From there, things begin to go all over the place: sex, lies, murder, double-crossing, and more. Director John McNaughton really keeps the story tight, and the audience sliding from one surprise to the next. This is sort of Dynasty crossed with Melrose Place for the high school set.

Summary: Fun, Fun, Fun.
Review: A good cult classic that will be talked about for years to come. Neve Campbell Is Great in this movie, She's Proving to be one of most versatal actress around, and Bill Murray nearly steals the movie with his dead pan humor. Great twist and turns, and stay for the ending creatis.

Summary: a guilty pleasure
Review: One of the first movies that I picked up after buying my DVD player was this guilty pleasure of a show that I had seen only a year earlier in the theaters. Personally, any movie that sports a naked Denise Richards is a pretty easy sell and the "naughty" nature of the movie is quite distracting enough to ignore the plot holes that are simply gaping in this example of plot twist on top of plot twist. For extra features the commentary is just okay and the extras, well they emphasize that everything of any substance was put in the theatrical run (ie they are short, very short). It's hard to really give any plot information on this because to do so would give away the stories many surprises, but suffice to say we are dealing here with a concoction of scheming and counter scheming between an interesting and diverse group of people in Florida. I heartily recommend a purchase of this DVD.

Summary: It's not about girl-on-girl action...
Review: It isn't a sex-based thriller, it's an incredibly well-constructed tale of cold, hard manipulation, brought about by greed, lust, money, power, control and vengeance, with some sex in it. And if you want further proof, I watched it with my CHRISTIAN parents, and they loved it. Anyone who says it is about sex is missing the point.

The film begins with Matt Dillon as chief protagonist in what at first seems to be a standard 'girl has a crush on teacher then accuses him of rape' scenario, but suddenly it twists that whole concept on its head and enters phase 2. And then that is twisted on its head, and phase 3 begins. And then phase 4, and phase 5. This must have taken a long while to write, as every single line in the film and every single scene is actually a mirror of what is really going on, and watching it again (and again) you see everything in a different light and realise exactly how you (and the various characters) were duped. We see only the bits that we're supposed to see, and are forced into thinking precisely what the director wants us to think. As a result, it's a roller coaster ride of emotions. Your concept of each character changes a million times, in that ones you start off liking you end up hating, and ones you start off hating, you end up either liking or pitying. You watch this film thinking that this person is manipulating that person and this person is manipulating that one, but even that gets thrown on its head at the end when you discover exactly where the manipulation is coming from. Add to this Neve Campbell giving the best performance of her career (I didn't realise she could act that good), Bill Murray lending the proceedings a camp-comedy element, Denise Richards looking fabulous in various revealing items of clothing (but it's not about sex!), and Kevin Bacon displaying his schlong, and you have one of the most memorable films of recent years.

Full of twists and cold-hearted mind-plays, 'Wild Things' is a skilfully crafted piece of modern 'whodunnit' cinema, that should easily take its place alongside 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' as a classic lesson in the art of manipulation. The story progresses swiftly and coherently (so long as you're paying close attention: not a film to watch if you want to take it easy), the characters are cleverly and sympathetically constructed, and the settings of both Florida and the Caribbean take some beating. Oh, and did I mention there's some sex in it?

Summary: Where was this on the AFI 100?
Review: Fun, entertaining, contrived, stupid, maudlin, inane, ersatz, assine, whatever. Wild Things is at one point or another can be described as such. With my back to the wall I could only say that Wild Things is pure Cheese and YES I liked it. Plot twists, sexual tension, and comedic absurdity combine together in a mixture of insanity.

As a DVD release it is not bad. The commentary is not terribly informative, but again coming from the guys that made this movie it is fun. Deleted scenes, don't bother. From there its the standard fare, trailers et cetera.
