Summary: Single Layer Woes
Review: WARNING!

Single layer. Two sides. Mid-film frustration. Do not buy until dual layer is available.

Otherwise fine film. I recommend it to all my friends. Until dual layered version comes out, you might as well save a few bucks and get the VHS version. At least then, you won't have to flip it halfway through.

Summary: Se7en is an amazing thriller, rivalling nightmares.
Review: Sick as it wants to be, this film is bold, disturbing, gritty as Hell, urban, and haunting, but most of all-beautiful. More than tornado-like plot-twists, this film goes where most of us can't imagine finding ourselves, which is actually a theme constant in the movie. Brad Pitt is entering into a homicide detective position in the grimy and clammy bowels of the big city, encountering on his way in a detective on his way out (Morgan Freeman). Pitt is eager to do his job as any detective would, but Freeman's disenchantment seeps into his attitude towards his temporary partner. Both men mash together different perspective of their work with different levels of experience, and it turns out Pitt has some weighing insight towards this volatile job. Within time, however, they learn to combine the primary functions of their intuition in a developing series of gruesome murders that bare the motives from the seven deadly sins. Stated the wrong way, this could appear cheap and sensational, but this film seem to find a way of substituting that atmosphere with enourmous sophistication and intrigue. But through all of the films developements, the pair of detective find themselves questioning how they arrived so deep in this hole, asking how it was possible to arrive so far into Hell all out of a job. after the infamous and powerful finale, one man will go on to fight the darkness off, while one forfeits his sanity to the monster that is the dominion of psychopathic and sociopathic functions, so twisted, they are undefinable really.

Summary: Great movie, BAD DVD
Review: I loved this movie! The amazing cast delivered an eerily awesome performance. However, the people at New Line Home Vieo decided that they wanted to put half the movie on each side of the DVD, even though the movie is only about 2 hours long. The result is, halfway through the movie, you have to flip the DVD over. I thought they invented DVDs so that it was unnecessary to flip them like laserdiscs. Ahh, well. Good movie. If the flipping doesn't bug you, buy it!

Summary: Gluttony.
Review: So, you think you've seen every type of crime film out there? You thought "The Silence Of The Lambs" was amazing? Then "Seven" is going to change the way you look at crime films once more. This is a classic in every sense. David Fincher's directing is excellent, the story is perfectly written, Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman work extremely well together as partners in crime fighting. Morgain Freeman is a cop about to retire when he takes this one last case in which he has to work with Brad Pitt. The case is a bizarre murder in which a man has died from overeating. I won't say much more, except that this is a must have for any film collector.

Summary: Seven is a great horror film
Review: This is a great horror film. The killer makes his victims commit on of the seven deadly sins(envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, sloth, wrath) before he kills them. You never guess who the killer is untill close to the end. This movie is perfect. The special features on the DVD are nice. There is one down side. You have to flip the DVD over to finish watching they film, it's only 127 minutes long. Wait till it's all on on side before you buy it.

Summary: The best pyschotic thriller since Kalifornia
Review: A serial killer (Spacey) is on a mission to kill seven people that commit the seven deadly sins, gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, wrath, pride, and lust. Brilliant acting from Brad Pitt and Morgan Freedman, Kevin Spacey's performance as the serial killer is absolutely suberb, and fantastic directing from David Fincher. A definate must see for any serious horror or thriller fans. Not for those who are easily grossed out.
