Summary: "Confessions of a Trickbaby"
Review: "Confessions of a Trickbaby" is my favorite movie of all time. The acting is great, Maria Celedonio (Cyclona) and Natasha Lyonne (White Girl) play the parts to perfection. Once you get past the initial weirdness, the movie has a great story line. For me the whole movie is about friendship and the strange ways they come and go. A definate 2 thumbs up!

Summary: WHAT?
Review: after reading the proceeding reviews of this film I was left with no alternative but to comment, and save the poor viewers of the world..... this film was absolutely horrendous, one of the worst movies ever made! natasha lyonne and vincent gallo are two extremely talented actors, how they became involved with this catastrophe is completely beyond me... both are actors who normally shine but in this movie they seem to stuggle with every line. a third grade rendition of "jesus christ superstar" would have been less difficult to watch! and cyclona - she was actually physically painful to see in action. the only reprieve from this nightmare was david allen grier, who afforded the only laughter in the entire film.. his performance was the only one reminiscent of the greatness that was the first freeway.... i consider this joke of a movie an insult to the first and by far superior movie. the first freeway stood out as some of the best filmmaking of the 90s,it is the quintessential dark comedy. the second is the quintessential waste of film. so please please for your own sake avoid this film... i would rather catch the ebola virus then be forced to see it again!

Summary: Campy fun!
Review: Although it doesn't live up to the original, superior film, Confessions is a really good movie. It does start out a little boring and the characters seem less interesting, but stick around and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It has the same amount of over the top violence and bizarre humour and lesbianism. Natasha Lyonne(an excellant actress) perfectly plays the bulimic "White Girl" to perfection, and Vincent Gallo has a great cameo as Sister Gomez, the maniac who takes in Lyonne and her on-the-run Hansel, Cyclona, a lesbian who killed all her family for screwing her up. Anyway, the film serves as a twisted version of Hansel and Gretel as the original film spoofed Little Red Riding Hood. Anyway, Don't buy the DVD, rent the movie and see if you like it, if you do, then buy it. Look for David Allan Grier as Lyonne's less-than-professional lawyer.

Summary: Yes, there is a connection...
Review: As many of you who have seen the first Freeway, I was an instant fan. When I found out about a sequel I couldn't wait. What I saw pleased me greatly, and I would recommend this to anyone. The main point of me writing this review though is to pay attention. Larry, the step-father from the first movie is back. So don't say there isn't a connection to the original.

Summary: Excellent!!
Review: Being a fan of the original "Freeway," I almost did not rent this movie because it is not a continuation of the first movie. In fact, it doesn't even have the same actors as the first and its plot is completely different. Also, the video cover suggests that the movie is a low budget b-rated flick with terrible acting and an even worse plot. I was pleasantly surprised. If you are a fan of the original than you will absolutely love this movie. Its darker, more perverted, twisted and sick. Its a dark disturbing movie that delves into as many dark and taboo themes as one could ask for. Cannibalism, serial killing, bulimia, lesbianism, psychopaths, fantasy..this movie has it all. I also loved the inclusion of a fairy tale theme that was actually more a part of the movie than the little red riding hood was in the original. Definitely a must see!

Summary: where did all the exploitation movies go?
Review: Eploitation is alive and well and it's living in the direct to video market. This modern retelling of Hansel and Gretel (no kidding! ) is unabashedly raunchy with little or no redeeming qualities. That's why it's so good! Murder, masturbation, huffing, lesbianism, incest, prostitution, vomiting, and a myriad of other bad things are exploited to their fullest extent. This movie ain't for moralists, so be careful. I'm giving it a three because it's got a good beat and I can dance to it. Enjoy this film.

Summary: dissapointing
Review: freeway 2 definitely didn't live up to my high expectations after seeing the brilliant original freeway. It's alot darker, and alot pervier than the first, substituting disturbing visuals for witty dialogue. Natasha Lyonne is all right, although i definitely don't think this was her greatest effort ever. Vincent Gallo was very effective as sister gomez - horrifying. One of the many problems i had with this movie is (and maybe i'm being way too literal)that bot of the girls thought sister gomez was really a she! couldn't they see the five o'clock shadow? i saw this movie last night, and i fell asleep at 5.30 this morning, still thinking about her (or, rather, him.) don't get this film unless you are prepared to sleep with the light on for a loooong time.

Summary: Darker and stranger than the original...another classic
Review: FREEWAY 2 is a name-only sequel to the 1996 cult hit starring Reese Witherspoon, but managed to live up to my high expectations anyway. Have no fear, it was written and directed by the same guy who did the first one, Matthew Bright. Its actual title is CONFESSIONS OF A TRICKBABY, probably referring to the first film's Vanessa character's statement of, "I ain't no trick baby" (rather than the Iceberg Slim book TRICK BABY), and stars Natasha Lyonne of SLUMS OF BEVERY HILLS as yet another juvenile delinquent on the run. This film is a lot darker and weirder than the original, and pushes the envelope of good taste even further. Now if that's not a reason to get this right away...I don't know what is.
