Summary: Fantastic
Review: This movie was an awesome cinematography view. I have enjoyed the actors present in this movie in several features. Norman Reedus shines, which he always seems to bring out many aspects of each character I have seen him portray...namely in the movies SIX WAYS TO SUNDAY and DARK HARBOR. I have enjoyed Joshua Jackson for quite sometime...from the MIGHTY DUCK series to DAWSON'S CREEK. I believe he is a young Tom Hanks and these qualities shine in this movie. James Marsden has been proving himself for quite sometime now and playing a bad guy when he is constantly being put in the boy next door roles shows his acting abilities. I truly disliked his character in this movie which is an actor's dream to make the audience truly believe in the character portrayed. I believe that this movie is an excellent choice to view Hollywood's up and coming leading men.

Summary: Marsden's Triumph.
Review: Didn't really want to see this...mostly because it came off as just another stupid teen flick. Eventually, I did sit down and watch it, a little disappointed with the plot itself,James Marsden's acting sure did fix it up a whole lot. That was without a doubt the highlight of this film.

The plot itself was a little above marginal...kind of following in "Cruel Intentions" footsteps. A little iffy here and there, and it trys in certain aspects to become a little bit artsy. The drama in it is also okay, nothing extravagant. Although, with all of the other teen films out nowadays("Boys and Girls", "I know what you did last summer", and "She's All That") this is much much better than those. With those being far far too pointless and unimaginable, this is a little bit more believable. Yet, it could have been a little more spread out, and the ending was a little too "Saved By the Bell"-ish, the alternate ending was, in my eyes, far superior(only on the D.V.D.).

The only reasons I gave this four stars, which normally would have received a three, was Marsden's performance. He didn't really get a chance to shine in "X-MEN" but he lit up the screen quite marvelously. I'm convinced that with the right roles, he's the world's next Brad Pitt. He's above the stupid teen flick actors such as Freddie Prinze, who could be a bit better if he expanded more. That's why I think it's important that Marsden chooses the right roles in the future and not become another Mark Paul Gossaler(or however you spell it), or even Freddie Prinze. He did do a good job signing for the "X-MEN" seqeuls, so he's on his way to stardom. I'll be looking for more films with him in the future. This is by far his best acting known to me, better than "Cyclops" in "X-MEN" and "Steve" in "Disturbing Behavior". Good luck to him in the future.

Summary: CONTRIVED
Review: I will tell you, the only reaon to watch this film is to look at James Mardsen. Kate Hudson is a horrible actress and the ending was rediculous.

Summary: One of the best movies to come out this year
Review: This was an excellent movie. The plot was intriguing and fast-paced. The movie goes in a direction you would never expect and surprises the audience at the end. Add to this a killer soundtrack (which one could only hope they would release) and this movie is a must see for anyone who likes thought provoking movies.

Summary: only gossip can track that far!
Review: this movie is a plus for anyone that likes suspence in their movies. about 3 college students wanting to make gossip, and decide to make the plot about 2 former peers fooling around at a party. the middle of the movie is shocking, and so is the end. The only thing i do not like is that they didn't make a soundtrack.

Summary: Not as smart as it wants to be
Review: It's got a good premise: start a story and see how many people get a hold of it and how it changes before the truth comes out. It plays with the idea of yellow versus real journalism. I like that. Unfortunately, the execution is seriously flawed. We go through all of this twisty turny stuff that's telegraphed ahead of time and then gives a very unrealistic and unsatisfying conclusion to the whole thing. If you've got nothing else to do, watch it with some friends, but i guarantee that the conversation it provokes will be a lot more interesting than the film itself.

Summary: update: POE "music video"
Review: in refrence to the "Grab Bag" section of the "special features" on this DVD:

I spoke with POE yesterday about this whole "Gossip" thing. she said she was totally unaware of a music video for "My Lips Are Sealed"... how can there be one that she's in, that's she totally unaware of you might ask? well... what the production company has called a "music video" is actually the entire dance sequence filmed for the movie... that only about 30sec. of was used in the actual movie. so... she's not too happy about this.

Summary: What were they thinking??
Review: After reading the other reviews, I felt it was necessary to give customers an ACCURATE description of this movie. It was a huge waste of celluloid! The acting is below par, (even by the standards set by these actors) the story has no imagination, it is ludicrous and if you are going to buy this movie, you might as well throw your money into a gutter, or send it to me so I can buy you a good movie.

Summary: Gossip spreads....
Review: THE STORY: 3 college students living together decide to use a rumor they make up as a subject of a class paper. they spread the rumor, and fiction becomes fact - so much so that the person the rumor is about begins to believe it. THE MOVIE: very well done. the colors, people, art.. it's all amazing. i personally would like to live like these college students do. DVD SPECIAL FEATURES: the commentary is cool.. i learned a little more. the deleated scenes make for interesting entertainment after the movie. the alternate ending was best saved as the "alternate". it just wouldn't have made any sence. the "grab bag" is where this DVD release falters. i bought the DVD to see/hear POE. she recorded a cover of the Go-Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed", but changed the name to "My Lips Are Sealed". the movie didn't do as well as expected, so a soundtrack was never released. however, a music video was filmed... and on this DVD, i sware the audio and video quality was better when i saw it on the internet. no other part of this DVD is this way... the Tonic music video is not this way.... some of the deleated scenes are better quality. however, POE actually is in the movie. you can check out her video online if you wish... ... her new album was released on halloween.. it's called "haunted".

Summary: The damages a gossip makes
Review: In spite of all the negative critics about "Gossip", I really enjoyed this movie. The plot is interesting and shows the damages a simple gossip can produce. "Gossip" is not a regular teenage movie, with beautiful faces and no plot. The cast was very well chosen and the soundtrack is good.
