Summary: great sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: jaws is one of the best movies ever made--EVER! jaws 2 is the only respectable sequel to jaws. it's so great becasue they bring alot of the original characters back, and they don't try to make the movie better!! see jaws and jaws 2, blow off 3 and the revenge. can't wait for the dvd to come out!!! personal note: see jurassic park III

Summary: Entertaining, fun, and even sometimes scary.
Review: (My review is closer to 3.5 stars) Jaws 2 tried to capitalize on the success of teenage slasher films and it worked (over 100 million dollar gross). Now, the film itself is not as good as the original, but it's still entertaining and quite fun to watch. The pace hardly ever lags and the shark attacks (even moreso than in the previous film) are tense and exciting. Roy Scheider is great as the everyman who is caught up in a terrifying situation. Admittedly, it's hard to sympathize for some of the teens, but Scheider's presence lends an aura of respect to the whole thing. Plus, the special effects are even better (actually, it might be the best-looking shark ever put on film).

Summary: You can't tell if it sinks or floats
Review: JAWS 2 was a obvious sequel to a great America film, named "JAWS" and at one point, you knew there was going to be a sequel and some already knew it would be horrible. JAWS 2 is no exception. The Beginning is alright, but when it starts getting to the middle and end, it starts to blow over. even in one scene, when the Shark tries to bite someone, you can see the Mechanics down it's throat!. The shark also looks smaller than the first one. Now Universal put it on DVD, in the aniversery of the original, although I wouldn't really understand why. the movie was nether a blockbuster, nor a flop (well, maybe I jumped the gun saying "it wasn't a flop") I think the one thing to look for in the movie is that original charecters are back, as in all the Brodys (Roy Scheider and Lorraine Gary) and Amity's mayor Larry (Murray Hamilton) is back. But Quint (Robert Shaw) and Matt Hooper (Richard Dryfuss) are sorely missed. collected only and ONLY if you're a JAWS fan. otherwise, skip and stick with the original or JAWS 3-D (jaws 3).

Summary: 4 out of 5 dentists recommend Jaws 2
Review: This sequel still intimidates - still frightens. The real bonus is that Roy Scheider came back for this one. Whenever original characters come back - it adds to the plot continuity and the fun.

Really, Jaws and Jaws 2 are enough. You start to wonder, at this point, why even go near the water?

Summary: A very good sequel
Review: Jaws2 is one of the best sequel's I have ever scene, there is a lot of scene's in this movie that kept me on the edge of my seat,it is of course not as good as the first film, and it would of been nice if Richard Dreyfuss came back for the second film, but other then that small complaint I liked Jaws2.P.S. I even liked part 3

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Pretty decent follow-up to the original
Review: The first, and really the only good, sequel to the classic original, "Jaws 2" finds a Great White menace once again lurking off the coast of Amity Island. Roy Scheider ably reprises his role as Cheif Brody, who remembers the warning signs from his first encounter with a big shark and tries to convince the town council of the danger.

This film has a decent script and decent acting. Yes, Richard Dreyfuss is missed, but this movie holds its own. The only drawbacks are that the mechanical shark used in the film looks obviously artificial. The other is that the element of suspence that kept you on your toes in the original is lacking here. You know when the shark is going to strike.

That said, there are plenty of good moments in this film, and makes for an enjoyable view.

Summary: "Jaws 2" doesn't lack bite
Review: Four years after Amity was terrorized by a great white shark, another one steps in to ruin their tourist trade. The difference is that this time there isn't any real evidence a shark is out there; just some divers and water skiiers disappearing and no witnesses. Chief Brody (Roy Scheider) only has his suspicions, and of course the city fathers can't (and won't) act without any proof. By the time there's proof, it's a race against time as ten sailboats with teenagers set out for a day in the sun, which include Brody's two sons. Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss are missed but film actually has much more action and shark encounters but less graphic violence. Less visually upsetting than the original film, but plays like a funhouse where things pop out and go "boo"! The last half of the film picks up speed that leads to an exciting climax. Some TV prints include extra scenes which include a longer attack on the coast guard chopper as well as scenes on land. Easily the best sequel.

Summary: A GREAT SEQUEL!!
Review: In my opinion, all the Jaws movies are great. The great white shark that terrorized sea-goers the first time around is back again in this spectacular sequel that is humbly named "Jaws 2." Chief Brody (Roy Scheider) is also back as the main policeman of Amity Island. Brody saw Jaws up close in an earlier encounter, and he believes after he finds a dead body floating close to the shore in the ocean and a dead killer whale, that the huge great white shark named Jaws is responsible for these killings. However, Chief Brody has a hard time getting everybody else to believe that a huge shark is out there in the ocean and that it's not safe to even go sailing. After Brody gets fired from his job of four years and when his two sons go sailing, Brody knows that even if he's no longer the chief of police, that he must do something to stop this huge shark dead in its water.

"Jaws 2" is a great sequel to the original blockbuster. It has good effects with the shark, a good plot, good acting, and it's very suspenseful and exciting. I recommend anybody who liked "Jaws" or any of the other Jaws movies to get "Jaws 2," you won't be disappointed at all!

Summary: Not Too Shabby
Review: Jaws 2 is a film version of the novel by Hank Searls. The movie which is directed by Jeannot Swzwarc. The movie is way ahead of it's time in spcial effects. Back in 1978, they did not have the best of special effects, such as todays. The movie had good special effects, but not too good acting. The actine is almost too fake and the actors do not act realistically enough to believe. the movie, overall is ok, but not the best of movies I have seen. I would not reccomend this movie except to the old school people.

Summary: A bone chilling thriller
Review: Jaws 2 wasnt as good as the first one but it sure is better than the two that come after it. Another killer shark is terrorizing Amity Island and the mayor wont belive Cheif Brody again and again its up to Cheif Brody to save the day. This time without any help from Matt Hopper who is on the Aurora in the Antartic Ocean and there isnt much there to help as he faces the maneating shark with a taste for human blood on his own. Just a bunch of teenagers to scared to help. His son Shawn is out there so he'll stop at nothing to keep it away and kill it. In the end there is a heartwreanching showdown between good and evil. Good always wins and Brody prevales again by electracuting the shark as the frightend teens watch.
