Summary: acting lessons a must!
Review: I cant belive seymore cassel worked on this film! the budget (not very big) must have went to getting a name in the film.
The plot is silly and the acting even worse Are we to belive all Arquettes can act! The other lead Roperto...I hope he has a day job, must be related to someone making the film. Cinda Williams as the sex pot!!!! check out the celluite
A better name STINKERS

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: NOT GOUDA!!
Review: I saw this movie twice, once when it was called THE LAST CALL and now renamed STINGERS. No matter how you slice it it still smells like stinky cheese! I think everything about the film was weak except the score.

Review: I think everyone should be cool on this review, we watched the film and found it just ok. If someone doesnt like the film they have the right to voice it here! It sounds like the last reviewr is someone involved in the film and hyping it too much ! Lets be real people dont go overboard prasing your film, let the viewers decide. It had some good moments with seymore, but i could watch him clip his nails! was a 2 for one rental in my book!

Summary: tring to be a gay film noir
Review: I think what we have here is a gay film noir! One of the first of its kind.
the homosexual tension between ross and marty is explosive!
And the film is full of S&M beatings and gay under tones, between the blantently gay detective duo and the glue sniffing hitman with the fred astaire shoes!! Ross and marty spend all ther time together, one desperatly wanting a differnt lifestyle, and doing anything to change it. as a openly gay man i liked where it could have went! BRAVO for tryiing boys!

Review: I wish people would post real reviews and not waste our time with childish prank reviews. I bought this film and really enjoyed it completely. STINGERS is a dark noir and very cerebral film that you can watch several times and still catch the many layers the script develops. The acting, writing, direction, and photograhpy are superb. The colors in the film are so beautiful. This is an indie effort and by what I've read, these are some really talented people who accomplished a huge effort. This is a film I wish I was able to watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon in some art house movie theater with a huge tub of popcorn. A real joy. Seymour Cassel, Academy Award nominated actor for "FACES" the 1968 John Cassavettes film, was superb as always. His boozy character Dino was just great on many levels. The two young leads, Andrew Roperto and Richmond Arquette gave very strong and layered performances. Cynda Williams was great. The German actor Udo Kier was top notch - check out those steel eyes. If you like films in the classic noir tradition with some great acting and a plot with several surprising twists and turns with a surprise ending, SINGERS is the ticket!
