Summary: It WAS the most overlooked film of last year
Review: Probably my favorite drama of the last couple of years. By the time this movie ends, you are incredibly involved in these characters. I had the benefit of seeing it in the theatre and I'm glad I did. It was truly a powerful experience.

Summary: The Perfect Movie for Friends and Lovers.
Review: "RETURN TO PARADISE". What can I say? This is a breath-taking movie. This is the basic layout: Three friends--Sherriff, Tony, and Louis--are on a trip in Malaysia for any reason why guys would go somewhere: for some fun, girls, and some "good old" hash. At the end of their trip, Sherriff and Tony decide to go home to New York, while Louis stays to release orangutans from cages and sheltered environments. So they go home, and he stays. Two years later, they have all gone on with their lives. But what they didn't know whas that Louis never returned home. The reason? This is where Beth comes in. She reveals this information to Sherriff and Tony: Lois was arrested in Malaysia because an over amount of drugs was found in the place where the friends stayed. In eight days, he will be executed by hanging. If Sherriff goes back, Louis and him will stay in prison for six years, and the same goes for Tony. If they both go back, Sherriff, Tony, and Louis will stay for three years. So an important decision thus comes into their minds: either one or both go back and they will all be released as free men, or they will be haunted for the rest of their lives with their murdering decision. This movie is amazing. Vince Vaughn is wonderful as Sherriff, and Anne Heche is absolutely spectacular as Beth. The scenes when their characters are in love make you feel their passion and depth of feeling toward each other. The scenes when the friends try to make their decision make you wonder it they will do the right thing. Like my title says, this is a great movie for friends and lovers everywhere.

Review: I'll admit, i rented this movie because i think vince vaughn is really hot. but i was totally caught off guard. it was a great story, with characters you get involved with. The acting by everyone involved was terrific. It was so intense i had a stomache ache through the last half of the movie, and i was actually talking outloud to the characters towards the end. Anyone who thinks movie making is going down the tubes (TITANIC...)see this movie. it will restore your hope.

Review: This film is outstanding! It will take your breath away and leave your mind reeling. Men beware! This movie could have Stone Cold Steve Austin shedding tears. I cried, but after 15 years of showing little or no emotion, it was time. This film is about true friendship and the cold, hard realities of third world prisons. You will care about each of these characters and be truly astonished by their performances. This movie should have been nominated for Best Original Screenplay but the Academy just didn't get it. So what else is new...If you love movies...SEE THIS FILM!

Review: I have to give this movie 5 stars because I'm abig Anne hatche fan. she seemes to grow better as an actress with each role.I don't think she gets the respect she deserves.Vince vaughn was also great as the man Hatche falls in love with.The movie was great but not award winning.

Review: Excellent story line.... Vince Vaughan is a young actor that needs to mature a bit... he is a little too cocky and smooth in this role.... Had he been about 5 years older, and with many more roles under his belt, this could have been a GREAT movie.

Review: Though the movie is slow paced, it is a terrific story. You are never sure what is going to happen next or whether the characters will make the right decisions. In the end you will walk away having felt the importance of friendship, love and honor. Terrific performances by Heche and Vaughn.

Review: This movie is spellbinding the story is interesting it just pulls you in. The actors are incredible with their performances especially Vince Vaughn,Anne Heche,and Joaquin Phoenix. Vince's sheriff is the one that grows in the movie and a very likable character. Great!movie it should've got some oscar nods.
