Summary: One of the great
Review: This movie is ont of the great thrillers to come out of '99 - '00. This movie cept you guessing for the first half, guessing as to what the movie was going to be about.Denis Quaid is in the past talking to his son in the future, the future is always changing around his son, and his son is always talking back though time to try to make a good future for thier family. This sounds a little confusing and it was a little at first. Now for why it was a thriller. After saving his fathers life by talking to him in the past, his mother, Quaid's wife, has been murdered years back. This movie was artistic and dramatic. At times it left somthing to be desired, but all in all it was a great movie.

Summary: Changing Time
Review: The real focus of this movie is the impossible reunion between father and son. But what makes it stand out is the way their dialogues change the past. The creators of this film did an excellent job of portraying how significant even a tiny change is in the grand scheme of things is. Also, at no point do they compromise their premise; everything is very consistent and the effects that the two of them have on time are believable. An excellent film.

Summary: "Frequency" strikes all the right chords.
Review: A very good film with a lot of twists and turns. Very well written and the actors played their parts well. Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel make this a very believable film. From the opening scene to the final surprise, there is more than enough to keep a viewer interested. Except for a few instances, the movie was very unpredictable. A must see for those who love a well devised story.

Summary: The Unusual Frequency !
Review: Watched this movie a week ago, and all I can say is that this movie is very touching in deed yet somewhat thriller towards the end. Although there are flesh backs, I am determined those who have yet to see this film will like it.

I guess the credit should go to Jim Caviezel for his superb performance in this show. He truly portrayed the character in him ... Basically, if you have not watch this film, it would be nice to see this over the weekend !

Summary: The Best Movie of 2000 (Too bad it won't win anything)
Review: I convinced my husband to go see a sneak preview of this movie. He dragged his feet up until the movie started. He became so involved in a movie he had deemed "chick flick" that he now reccommends it to all of his friends.

The father son bond is what really draws the moviegoer to this film. A little science fiction, suspense, drama always helps, but it is this bond that makes the movie work.

I can't say enough good things about this movie to convince anyone to go watch it.

Summary: Back to the Future?
Review: So, here's the premise. Guy in 1969 uses a ham radio. His son in 1999 uses same radio. Northern lights are going on outside in both times (same date coincidentally). Radio of the future and radio of the past allow dead father and living son to talk. With me so far?

Well, just like in most time travel paradoxes, talking to someone in the past can have dramatic effects on future events. So, most of the movie is father and son working together to keep bad things from happening to their family.

I know this all seems hard to swallow, but it really is an interesting movie in that you can really control whatever your future may be by even the tiniest of decisions you make in the present. That plays an important role in this film. The storyline can get a little confusing if you aren't paying attention. Don't get up for any reason during this film. It is definitely worth whatever you pay to see it. As a result, this film gets its highest rating from me. Do your best to ignore the lack of denouement.

Summary: Zzzzzzzzzzzzap!
Review: Once again, we are confronted with teleportation. But this time, it's in the form of a ham radio.

John Sullivan innocently lets his buddy's kid dig out his dad's old ham radio, not knowing that he was on the way to re-creating history.

The core of the movie centres on family values and it is not as Sci-Fi as you might think it is. The love of a son for his parents and the desire for a complete and happy family is the selling point of the movie.

As you watch it, no doubt you would expect the predictable bad guy who would appear and prevent a happily-ever-after ending. You are right.

All in all, the movie has little originality. We had all seen (at some point or another), communication between the past and the present, a bad cop, a good cop (who inevitable is a black guy, think: Seven, Gone in 60 Seconds, etc) who saves the day and a love between a man and a woman who never dies.

I would not say much of this movie; there is little that you would miss if you did not see it (no dazzling special effects, no outstanding acting) but if you want to be reminded again of good family values, perhaps it would be worth your money after all.

Summary: This movie surprized me! It is very good!
Review: People with no imagination will probably hate this movie, but those that do will love it. The story is like this, an Aurora Borealis enables communication via an old 2 wave radio between two radios one in the past, one in the present. The two people talking to each other discover that they know each other.

I can't reveal any more without giving up the story, but the story that unfolds is highly entetaining and suspenseful. Dennis Quaid is great in this movie. Although the story is a little unbelievable, it is still the BEST movie that I have seen this summer!

I highly recommend seeing this movie!

Summary: Good, but not great
Review: A man makes contact with his long-dead father through his short-wave radio, and together they help catch a murderer. This is a likeable movie that is an agreeable way to pass time, but other people may find it to be nothing more than a watered-down Back to the Future.
