Summary: Incredible debut by Silverstone
Review: To think that Alicia Silverstone was only 15 when she played Darian in "The Crush." The film creates a forbidden sexual tension between Silverstone and leading actor Cary Elwes. Brilliantly produced by James Robinson, the story snowballs out of control with a different kind of fatal attraction. Silverstones big screen career starts off in A1 fasion.

Summary: I think WE need to Talk
Review: We've all been there! At least I've had a crush on someone that became a bit obsessive. It is difficult enough wanting attention as a teenager and then when the person you are crazy about ignores you or even worse, goes off with your best gal friend and makes out by a swimming pool when he hasn't even kissed you yet? OK, got the idea?

This is a thriller and it is also rather amusing. Not only is Cary Elwes just adorable, Alicia Silverstone is pretty hot. So, you have the combination and the chemistry, not to mention the obsessive twist.

The story begins when Nick is looking for a place to live and almost crashes into a teenager in the middle of the street. The minute she looks at him from behind her sunglasses, we know there is going to be trouble. Strangely enough, Nick ends up at Adrian's home and rents the family?s guesthouse.

Little does he know that Adrian is going to develop a huge crush on him and pursue him to the ends of the earth. Hey, he had a hot car. I want that car. I'm sure I've seen just a car like that on I-90 by Seattle. I've dreamed about having an orange car but never imagined one would appear in a movie. I want to paint flowers on the side.

Yes, this is very similar to Lolita. It has all those "I'm too old for you, I'm not too young for you" elements. It is also deliciously fun to watch Alicia Silverstone drive Cary Elwes half up the wall. I doubt he was acting. ;)

"I just wanted you to like me."

One look at Adrian's pouty face and he breaks into a cold sweat. He is definitely attracted to her, yet he knows she is too young for him.

"Please don't be afraid of me."

He has reason to be afraid! Not only does she go after everyone he loves, she seems smart enough not to get caught. When Nick is accused of rape, he has had enough.

The scenes of candle filled rooms and "shrines" to Nick are pretty creepy. We know this teenager is having trouble making friends because she sure has a lot of time to worship Nick. Well, who wouldn't fall for a sexy writer?

I understood this film from my own perspective. We had three guys living at our house when I was a teenager. They were older than me and I remember flirting with them a bit, but nothing like this movie presents. This movie presents the vindictive side of females and may I say: "Beware a Woman's Wrath."

I wish they would have spent more time on some of Adrian's interests like the horse riding. Instead they focused on her vindictive side.

A Naughty Teenage Fantasy that probably happens way more
than anyone would admit to.

Summary: I'm sick of Alicia!
Review: Yeah she gets the bad rep in this movie but Cary Elwes was sooooooooo much better. A very good movie.
