Rating: Summary: An Obsessive Narrative Review: I never seen a film as intriguing as Basic Instinct. If this film were to be shot in the 1950s with Humphrey Bogart, it would have not done the same justice. I call this film a Film Noir of the 90s which justifies a methodic style and narrative approach to Mainstream Hollywood filmmaking. Unlike many other Seductive Hollywood films, Basic Instinct not only uses SEXY LEGS to attract viewers, but also uses a perfect plot line and story line till the end of the film leaving the viewers to talk about it for years and years and still unable find the REAL MURDERER. I have seen this film at least five times now, and I think there is no need to have a sequel for this film. Having a sequel will ruin the whole MIND GAME of Basic Instinct. The best original story line ever seen on screen. I highly recommend you to buy this on DVD or VHS for your home.
Rating: Summary: Stone is soooooo Hott! Review: I loved it when stone kissed the other girl......it was great!
Rating: Summary: It's a shame Review: Poor Kirk Douglas ! His son Michael f## up any movie he plays in... And Sharon Stone is said to have the highest I.Q. in Hollywood. That is NOT proven at all by being in this lousy movie.May I remind you that Hollywood does not exist only since the 90s but back to the 40s 50s and 60s there are hundreds of MASTERPIECES you haven't even heard of -watch them and get smart instead of losing your time with violent artless movies
Rating: Summary: it's alright Review: it's a trip out film.Sharon Stone does a good job here.i think she is extremely overrated.but she does well in this thriller.Michael Douglas is in his usual victim role.the ending hurts it alot.
Rating: Summary: surprisingly good movie ruined by a weak ending... Review: i found myself enjoying this movie, even though i thought that i wouldn't. True, the plot was paper thin, but it kept u guessing and there was a really great twist near the end of the film. But the ending just didn't cut it. It was over so fast, but then there was another nice twist at the end... I dont know... i liked the movie and the twists, but the ending could have been better...
Rating: Summary: Is this a movie or a porn? Review: I had heard that this movie was exellent so when i had a chance to see it,i did!And i was surprised to find out how much was exposed,i had heard that Sharon Stone was not ashamed of her body, obviously not! She showed more than i would of liked to have seen.It seems all the movie is about is sex rather than a murder, after the movie is over you will say,"murder?what murder?this movie was supposed to be about a murder mystery!"Sharon Stone did a fantastic job, when she was actually talking instead of climbing all over Michel Douglas!
Rating: Summary: Awesome Movie! Review: I don't care what anyone says -- this movie is totally awesome! It's not just because of all the sex though, even though the sex makes it even better! Sharon is at the top of her game -- she is a great actress and I totally love her! Basic Instinct is full of mystery and suspense, and it's impossible to get bored at any point. Also, nobody plays burned out slime-balls as good as Michael Douglas, and his sex scenes with Sharon are so good and realistic. If you haven't already, you've GOT to see this movie!
Rating: Summary: . Review: Bad, bad movie, with a goofy script and poor performances. Tries to be risque and fails. The sex scenes aren't really that big of a deal. Essentially a waste of time.
Rating: Summary: level the playing field Review: Sharon's great body at least draws attention away from her complete lack of acting ability which is evident in all her other movie roles. Jeanne's much better and still gets superhot. Michael is lucky. Music fits the scenes well. Storyline is basic but the way it's filmed and the lighting in some scenes is intriguing.
Rating: Summary: a must-see film, in any case. Review: No matter what you would argue, this is an undoubted "classic" among all movies of this type. but the story/subj itself is not a real good one; anything else is good.
