Summary: A Thin Line between Love And Fear
Review: FEAR is a movie that may not be the most original thriller ever made, yet somehow, it still works. I would definately put the film on my "guilty pleasure" list...Sixteen year old Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon), has a chance encounter at a dance club, and meets David McCall (Mark Wahlberg) The pair decide to begin dating. When Nicole brings him home to meet Dad (William Petersen) and his second wife Laura (Amy Brenneman), things seem almost too good to be true, and they are. Slowly, David begins to show signs of a darker side, and that leads to jelousy and obsession. Alyssa Milano also stars as Nicole's best friend Margo. Directed by James Foley, the film is by the numbers, in a lot of respects. I I think one reason that I still can recommend the film, in spite of its predictable story, is because of Wahlberg and Witherspoon. They seem very much like a young couple in the film. Petersen is on target as a concerned dad looking out for his daughter. Towards the end of the film though, FEAR, takes on the more traditional cliche`s of a film like this. As I said though, guilty pleasure. Other than those reasons that I gave earlier, I don't know what makes it work...but it does

The DVD doesn't have any substantial extras. It has the theatrical trailer, production notes, web links, and cast/crew bios If you are in need of a mindless diversion, then FEAR, should factor in nicely. Recommended (with my sunglasses on, so that you can't tell its me) .

Summary: Of obsession and terror
Review: This movie leaves you wondering how a sweet and lovely girl like Nicole (played by Reese Witherspoon) could have fallen for a really low life nasty guy like David (Marc Wahlenburg) , but who can judge how a teenage girl thinks? It becomes a gripping thriller as David the psychopath unleashes a reign of terror on Nicole and her family.
Two other interesting characters are Nicole's father whose authoritative strength and lack of hesitation to act against David ultimately saves the day- a pity more fathers aren't prepared to do what is necessary ; and Margeux (played by Alyssa Mylanno) Nicole's brassy but good-hearted best friend who's life I always feared for at the hands of evil David (who brutally terrorises her) but who I was very happy to see get through
A male schoolfriend of Nicoles is not however so lucky as he is followed home by David and savagely beaten to death.
The end of the movie see's aparticularly gripping scene which after much horror leads to the deserving defeat and death of David and his villainous goons.

Review: I am so upset that you didn't have the correct sound track that i was looking for. I love the Moive fear w/(Mark W.) I was looking for this one song that they have in there. Who ever is looking for the sound track be carful and do not perchase this sound tract unless you know the songs that you are looking for.

Summary: Surprisingly Good for a "Teen movie"
Review: Fear is an interesting twist on the typical teen love story. Boy meets girl, girl falls in love with boy, girl finds out that boy is crazy for her. Literally...crazy...for her. Reese Witherspoon plays sweet teen girl Nicole Walker who falls for handsome and intensely romantic David McCall played by former rapper Mark Wahlberg. At first David seems to be every bit a perfect boyfriend, handsome, considerate, and intensely sexy. Things turn ugly when David explodes into a jealous rage when he sees Nicole giving a friendly hug to a male friend. From there, Fear turns into a frightening story of obsession and violence. Reese does a very credible job of playing the teen girl trapped by a romantic psychotic. Mark Wahlburg does a great job of combining the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde sides of David's character. Fans of Walhburg will enjoy the sight of Mark flexing both his acting and pectoral muscles. Balancing the mix is Nicole's slightly overprotective father played by James Foley who sees through David's perfect gentleman act and becomes a target for David's increasingly maniacal acts. Despite being classified as "teen horror", Fear is surprisingly good. No Oscar performances to be sure, but overall it's an engaging suspense story with well-done performances.

Review: David seems like what we girls always dream of: tall, "dark" (oh, but not in the way we hope!), handsome...nice car, loveable, respectful, attentive, and he wants to meet your parents! What more could you ask for; he's crazy about you! Crazy, alright. But what happens when you find out that he's not who he claims to be, that he does awful things that seem so much against his personality. Nicole Walker never imagined that David would not be able to let go...and he'll stop at nothing to make you his own. Definitely a great thriller and every father's nightmare.

Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon) believes she has found the love of her life in David (Mark Wahlberg). He is charming, selfless, polite and kind; everything she has ever wanted. Living with her father and stepmother, Nicole feels trapped and alone. David makes her feel free.

However, her perfect Prince Charming is not all he appears to be. Beneath a handsome exterior beats the heart of a psycho who seeks to destroy all those who would stand in the way of him taking Nicole, body and soul. He mercilessly rapes Nicole's best friend Margo (Alyssa Milano) and kills a schoolmate. Nicole's dream has become her worst nightmare.

This amazing thriller will keep you guessing until the end!

Review: Mark Wahlberg plays David who is obsessed with a 16 year old girl,who is clean cut todays girl. He doesn't get along with daddy to well and will stop at nothing to get Nicole back. Even if that means to kill her family. Mark Wahlberg keeps me on the edge of my seat. Reese Witherspoon is a sweet girl in this film. I can't stop watching this movie. This movie is worth watching over and over again.

Review: From the boy next door to every girls worst nightmare in a heart beat. A thriller that lets you love and hate the same character at the same time. Twists and turns keep your eyes glued to the television and Mark Walbergs gentle stare keeps you loving a psychotic. The ending keeps those who enjoyed the movie hoping for more. An ending scene with police divers keeps those who noticed it wondering, was he alive or was he dead? Just who's body were they looking for?

Review: After channel surfing for about 15 minutes I noticed Reese Witherspoon on the television. After seeing her hilarious role in Legally Blonde, I decided to see what this movie was all about. Then I noticed the incredibly gorgeous Mark Wahlberg, and decided to watch it. From start to finish I was on the edge of my couch wondering what would happen next (cursing when a commercial would come on).
I thought this movie was very well put together. The characters were very well thought up. Reese Witherspoon played a lovestruck teen Nicole Walker, who fell in love with David McCall (Mark Wahlberg). Nicole's family is then stalked and terrorized by David and his friends after she breaks up with him.
This movie was an edge-of your seat thriller and you will love it!
