Summary: A Teen Version Of Fatal Attraction
Review: This film is along the lines of "Fatal Attraction" about an obsessed boyfriend that wont let the girl of his dreams out of his life. But when her father tells him to stay away from her, he becomes crazy and violent as he destroys anything that stands between him and his girl. A great psychological thriller!

Review: This movie has perfect casting (espically hunky Billy Petersen). I was on the edge of my seat as I watched Nicki (Reese Witherspoon), become more deeply involved with Mark Walberg's character. Although I thought I knew the outcome of the movie the way it occured had me clapping! What a fitting ending for Walberg's nasty character. It's a hold your breath ending that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Summary: "Weak walls", strong movie!
Review: When you see a movie edited on tv and you say "I have got to own this movie!" then you know that it is really good. I was afraid to commit to it since it seemed like a CRUSH rip-off and I didn't want it to outstand my beloved favorite movie. It didn't. But, it's still a creepy little thriller about obsession, love and murder. Meet Nicole Walker. A 16 year old girl with sex on her mind. Her father just married a woman and has a new stepbrother. Her girlfriend Margo Masse and her friend Gary decide one day, to be late for school and to go get some food at a gritty coffee shop. Nicole glances at David but doesn't really meet him until a party later that night. When the party becomes a riot, Nicole escapes with David to sit around and talk. It's love at first sight. One night, Nicole tells David that she's ready to have sex. He says he's with some friends and has to do something. She tells him it's alright and to come over after and she tells him the code to the front door. Well, David comes in and they have sex. A day later or so, David goes to Nicole's school to pick her up, he see's Gary hug her. Not good in David's eyes. He goes over and beats the crap out of Gary and in the process, hits Nicole in the face, giving her a black eye. Nicole's father is more than pissed. David seems to give him the creeps. When he confronts David, David says "You know, Mr. Walker-you really aren't a f***ot." Mr. Walker tells David to stay away from Nicole. After Mr. Walker leaves, David starts hitting himself in the chest. He tells Nicole that her father hit him. So she runs off with David, feeling sorry for him. He asks her if she wants to go to a party when he brings her back to her house. She tells him no. But after a few seconds, when he leaves, she decides to drive over herself. She goes there, and looks in a window to see Margo being abused and about to be raped by her "true love" David. She now discovers David's true dark side. She won't talk to him so he "attacks" her in a bathroom at the mall. Mr. Walker's red car gets smashed up with a note on the broken window saying "Now I've poped both your ........!"....Mr. Walker finds out where David and his gang lives and ruins the place. When the group finds the place in ruins, David knows exactly who it is. And by their law "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a ...... tooth" they decide to pay the Walker family a little visit... What worked in this movie was the psychotic attitude of David. He's a soid good actor and a damn good liar. You know he's bad but you really like him. He seems perfect. You try to like him after his accidently hitting Nicole but it becomes harder and harder. RECCOMENDED TO FANS OF:

Summary: Good for Its Time
Review: I saw this in high school. I am a big Reese Witherspoon fan and she's a wonderful, versatile actress. Mark Wahlberg is a talented actor as well but the older Fear gets the more forgotten it becomes. Fear is one of those movies that I loved back then but don't care for now. I was young so I didn't know how bland and cliched' the plot was. This was a typical fatal attraction film with no new sparks. The only difference was it was for a younger audience. Reese plays Nicole a sheltered teen with a father and stepmother. She has a trashy friend played by Alyssa Milano
( who was not needed at all). Nicole hooks up with David ( Wahlberg ) not knowing that he's a lunatic who's lied about his past. He's developed a kind persona to woo her but it's all an act. Nicole's father is the only one who can see through his act. So we go through the same lame plot of teen girl fighting her father to be with the boy she loves. The film went from decent to silly in less than an hour. David starts knocking people off and Fear turns into some cheap thrills movie. He rapes Alyssa's character ( off screen ) for whatever reason then spends the rest of the movie stalking Witherspoon. I had a young mind then so I thought this film was good in 1996. Well it could have been a lot better. I am not saying don't watch this film because it's good to watch. Just don't expect more than the average teen thriller. The only difference in this and films like Joy Ride and The In Crowd is that the people in Fear can act.

Summary: suprisingly intense and creepy, Wahlberg is off the wall
Review: Wahlberg goes all the way in this one and thats what makes this movie so intense and creepy, hes so creepy. He's Reese Witherspoons new boyfriend David and he seems a little off put, well maybe thats because hes a total psycho. William Petersen is Witherspoons dad, Amy Breneman is Witherspoons step-mom and Alyssa Milano is Witherspoons friend. some intense moments include where Wahlberg follows the kid and snaps his neck, that looked so real and where him and his friends invade Witherspoons house at the end and kill her dog. some parts may be sdisturbing for parents. the climactic battle at the end with Petersen and Wahlberg is intense also as Petersen throws Wahlberg out the window and he hits the rocks below

Review: This is a chilling tale of young love turned nightmare. When Nicole meets David (the perfect) guy, he is not all that he seems to be. This is a story of true obsession. David will do anything to be with Nicole forever, no matter what it takes. This is really a must see for all you drama seekers. One of my all time favorites

Review: This is a great movie. The actors and actresses play the parts very well. Mark Wahlberg is great playing a evil character and should do it more often. You should buy it since you'll lie it too.

Summary: Disturbing and real
Review: Although this isn't a horror movie, it's fairly scary just because it can be so real at times. For anyone who has been through verbal or physical violence in a relationship, this movie might be a bit much to handle.
Nicole (Reese Witherspoon)is a 16 year old girl who, like most teenage girls, likes to have fun. When she and her best friend Margo go out to a party one night, Nicole meets the handsome and mysterious David (Mark Wahlberg). Soon, she starts spending a lot of time with David. However, after a couple of weeks, Nicole realizes that David is becoming extremely possessive and jealous whenever. David even goes to the extreme by beating up one of Nicole's male friends because he's seen walking Nicole home. When Nicole ends the relationship with David, he tries everything to try and get her back but when that doesn't work, he begins to take things too far.

Summary: Surprise surprise...
Review: There's not a whole lot I can do to expand on the reviews posted already, except that this film surprised a lot of people in the film industry by it's relative success at the box office. You have to give props to Mark Wahlberg who's inspired psychopathic performance belies his acting experience--which wasn't much at the time of this film's release. You're convinced by the end that you've been taken for a capable thrill-ride, however skimpy the budget. James Foley does a good job assembling the cast, which includes current box office sweetheart Reese Witherspoon, Amy Brenneman, and particularly Alyssa Milano, who completely overshadows any sex appeal emitted by the lead.
