Summary: amazing for every age and extreme entertainment
Review: Fear is the best movie that I have ever seen. It is filled with entertainment and suprise. You are kept on the edge of your seat the entire movie. The beautiful actress Reese Witherspoon and the extemly attractive actor Marky Mark make the movie that more enjoyable. I own two copies of this movie just in case one were to be lost. I think that people of every age are able to throughouly enjoy.My favorite song is also contained in this movie. It is shared with my best friend Morgan, "Wild Wild Horses". I think that everyone should own a copy and I'd recommend eating butterfly crackers and gummi octipi while watching this remarkable film. All those smooth girls should also watch this film. It portrays the side of every teen that most of us experience and it's a film that comforts the wilder ones. I am extremly happy that I am able to write a review for my favorite movie, Fear.

Review: This movie kept me in suspense most of the time. It makes me have second thoughts about having a boyfriend. It is a great movie and if you like sitting on the edge of your seat the whole time, this is the movie for you.

Summary: Can someone say 'psychotic killer?'
Review: I saw this movie several years ago on USA and at first, wasn't interested with it's rather slow beginning but once Nicole (Witherspoon) started dating likable and seemingly all around good-guy David (Wahlberg), their obvious strong attraction seemed something that I just wanted to pay attention to. When David starts to come on strong to innocent Nicole, her father, an over protective and rather wealthy man, proclaims that he is too much of a secretive boyfriend to hold on to and after Nicole attempts to break up with him, that's when all hell breaks loose.

This is truly Wahlberg's break-out role. He perfectly portrays that of a sickingly psychotic killer (and in one dramatic scene, beats himself up to win over Nicole) and while, surprise surprise, Reese Witherspoon seems totally in love with him, you know there's something wrong. But you just can't help but watch it!

In the end, Walhberg and Witherspoon come to terms with their strange romance in a dramatic twist that the ignorant might have not seen coming. And while it's predictable plot might not immediately win you over, the superb acting will. Witherspoon and Wahlberg show all they've got in this film (in more than one ways)...their acting shines bright and while they are constantly the focus of attention, all the more better for the audience: the two keep the drama going, the suspense is riveting despite the obvious ending... A movie that opened up doors of all sorts for the main actors.

Summary: TERRIBLE PIECE OF EXPLOITATIVE GARBAGE!
Review: You just know when you see photo booth snaps of Nicole and David (Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg) kissing and snuggling cleverly juxtaposed with David's jailhouse mugshot on his bedroom wall...this won't be a cinematic enigma wrapped in a riddle. Fear certainly doesn't require much thought on the part of the moviegoer.

But it isn't entirely bad though, if you are prepared for predictable teen angst and psycho boyfriend antics. Reese Witherspoon plays the virgin nymphet Nicole Walker, desperately pining for brooding bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks David McCall, deliciously played by Mark Wahlberg. With the help of "gets around" pal Margo (Alyssa Milano), Nicole soon begins to develop a close bond with David, and (surprise surprise) even loses her virginity to him.

But of course, no such plot would be complete without the overprotective father, played by CSI's William Petersen. Suspicious of his daughter's new boyfriend from the start, he forbodes their relationship from the very beginning. That's when things go "psycho"...

David quickly begins to sport the crazy-serious-insane-obssessed face whenever any other guy goes near Nicole or when her father tries to keep them apart. Where does this get everyone? In a whole mess of unbelievable trouble that will leave the moviewatcher saying "hello? this would never happen!" while watching the movie through their hands.

All in all, not a terrible flick. The ending definitely could have had better closure, but you can't expect too too much given the corny plot. Oh, and of course, you get to see Mark Wahlberg without his shirt on. That, in itself, makes the movie worth at least one look. :)

Summary: Ultimate Mark Wahlberg
Review: Although many have claimed how badly acted and utterly cheesy they think this movie is, it's pure escapist entertainment. If you're going to have an obsessive boyfriend, wouldn't you want it to be someone as hot and magnetic as Mark Wahlberg? Engaging and often suspensful, it will keep you wondering what's going to happen next to a young Reese Witherspoon and a typically trampy Alyssa Milano. After watching this, the Rolling Stone song Wild Horses (performed by the Sundays) will definitely take on new meaning for you.

Review: This is a classic. Reese Witherspoon is so cute, and as if we didn't all know so is Mark Walberg. Put them together and you've got a hit. This is my favorite movie ever and I am a video freak. I couldn't even imagine what was going to happen next. It was scary yet romantic. I love it, however I wouldn't recommened this movie for anyone under the age of 16

Summary: FEAR ITSELF
Review: Maybe it's derivative, but FEAR packs a punch due to the expert direction of James Foley and the dead-on performances of Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon and William Petersen. Nice girl Reese (beautiful and a marvelously talented actress) goes along with pal Alyssa Milano to a club where she catches the eye of hunky David McCall (Wahlberg, in a chilling and good performance). Of course, once she finds herself falling for him, she sees a violent and darker side as he attacks her best friend and pushes her in the face. David, being the charming psychopath he is, manages to patch things up, and then things really start firing up. Petersen's father is a devoted, family man, who truly loves his daughter. When he realizes Wahlberg is not the Prince Charming he appears to be, he warns him to stay away from his daughter. But Wahlberg won't take no for an answer, so he rallies up his drug-dealing friends and attacks the home of Reese and her family. A tense, nerve wracking ending with powerful performances.
A guilty, but enjoyable, pleasure, showing that Wahlberg has more than a buff body to credit his success.
