Summary: Milano holds her own...
Review: "Poison Ivy 2" to me, was a slight disappointment. Sure, i felt that the film was supposed to be suspenseful (like the other 2), it was supposed to be sexy (like the other 2), and it was supposed to have a good deal of deviance (like the other 2). After seeing how Drew Barrymore and Jamie Pressly conducted themselves in their respective films, and, correct me if im wrong people, but Milano just seemed to be out of place in this film. Also, in my humble opinion I think she would have been beat up by either of the other 2 Ivy's.
Her love scenes were fair and nothing to go silly over, even though there was some good helpings of nudity, it could have been much better. I believe that the only time there was supposed suspense was when she was hanging around the art teacher, who lusted her. Half way through, after hooking the guy on her cute little self, she shys away. Had that been the Ivy we all know, he would have ended up dead as a doornail. But to her credit, Milano did a good job of a girl trying to be someone else that generally wasnt her. She tried Ivy's shoes on and realized that they didnt fit. By that time, her deviance caught up with her in a semi-Fatal Attraction.
Could have been a lot better, and was, in Poison Ivy 3. Check that one out, but this is one film for Milano fans only.

Summary: Sexy, beautifully shot video-premiere gem
Review: Although lacking the depth, perceptive characterisation and strong performances of the original POISON IVY (which was, essentially, a story about teenage alienation and loneliness rather than the erotic thriller it was billed as), this is a decent sequel with much to commend it. It's main asset is Alyssa Milano, who is stunningly sexy, gorgeous and convincing in the lead role. She dominates the movie, though its very nicely directed by Anne Goursand, who brings the same visual style and sheen she brought to EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE. It's a compelling, erotic drama that's a must for all lovers of Alyssa.

Review: Drew Barrymore is hands down the most sultry and seductive woman in film, but PI2 was just that much better. The plot worked more and Ms. Milano brought more sexuality to the series. The main characters were more believable and there was that weirdo music student...hmmm. I likeitalot!

Review: For those of you NR affacionados, this movie does not deserve its NR rating. Embrace of the Vampire is better movie for that purpose. Otherwise, Poison Ivy 2 is good B movie. Alyssa Milano's acting is OK, but who watches her for her acting? The acting from her boyfriend co-star is actually pretty good.Actually, the acting from all of her co-stars are better, although some are marginally better actors(such as her art professor) than Alyssa.

Summary: An amazing movie!
Review: Forget the sex scenes, Alyssa Milano nude...forget it all. There's more to this movie than that. This is a story about a girl name Lily who never fit in, and she wants to be somebody else & belong. So with Ivy's words and influence from her diary, Lily becomes someone else entirely. The movie shows her blossom from the innocent outsider she was to the sexy, manipulative person she became. You can see her change perfectly on the screen. In the end, Lily's new behavior leads to obsession and maybe even death. The point is, I know alot of teens can relate to not fitting in & trying to change who you are. So what if this movie has sex, it's part of everyday life, and there's no reason it shouldn't be in a movie. It's not that big of a deal. Hey, watch the rated version if you want! This movie wasn't meant to be a serious movie, so if you are looking for a movie with a good plot that's like the movie Fear, rent this or buy it. You will be surprised. If all you do is sit down and watch movies studying every detail and scene, trying to find something wrong with it, this movie is not for you. It's just a great movie with a deep plot, and to me, nobody will take the time to realise that, because they think it's all about sex. It's not. Take a risk! You will be pleasantly surprised!
