Summary: Don't believe the hype.
Review: I have never watched a horror movie so dull as the original black and white Psycho. Nothing in the film is scary and the soundtrack is repetitive and not extremely memorable. The acting is very mediocre and I would suggest the remake anyday. I'll never understand what the big fuss is, the movie stinks. I'd choose Halloween anyday and It bothers me that people have the audacity to say Halloween is a remake or some kind of copy of Psycho. Halloween may have the character name Sam Loomis--but they are com-pletely different characters. It also has the daughter of Janet Leigh, but Jamie Lee Curtis is much more convincing and just because you the daughter of an actress, it doesn't mean you do the same movies. Hello people, Psycho is merely a boring suspense film(they never show anything in full graphic footage) and I'd recommend Dressed To Kill(a Psycho rip-off made way better), Carrie, Halloween, The Guardian, and even A Nightmare On Elm Street anyday before this lame excuse for a horror film.

Summary: It was a great movie! It gave me big chills.
Review: Psycho was a great movie! Even though it was black & white it gave me big chills right after the shower schene. The music made it even more scary. NOBODY can replace Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates and all the other actors were just as wonderful. If your looking for a good movie to rent, rent the FIRST Psycho. IT'S GREAT.

Summary: Hitchcock's Finest!
Review: This movie is Hitchcock at his very best. It was an excellent movie for me to analyze for my Mysteries In Film and Literature class! The scene in the motel manager's office between Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins is the best part of the movie!

Summary: The best movie of its kind
Review: I have to admit I wasn't scared. I am not afraid of my shower, and I don't have nightmares. But I didn't want to be scared. I wanted to enjoy the detailed workings of a disturbed mind, half basicly well intentioned, but the other half capable of "the shower scene." And I did. Blood and guts are easy. Psycho took work. And Anthony Perkins is *awsome* as Norman Bates. (Also, I want to second the review that pointed out that he's sexy, too. Too bad about that Mother problem.)

Summary: One hell of a ride!
Review: This is the movie that really started all of those slasher movies that you see these days. If you want a slasher movie that actually has one hell of a story line, and a plot twist that will leave you stunned, then for goodness sake go and get this!

Summary: PSYCHO:A great film
Review: Alfred Hitchcock proves he is one of the greatest directors in the business with his 1960 horror classic "Psycho". Well-directed and well-acted, this movie is probably one of the best horror films made. Anthony Perkins does a superb job as Norman Bates and Janet Leigh does splendid work as Marion Crane. Excellent movie. A viewer from Currituck, North Carolina needs to go watch Walt Disney films because Psycho is too "violent and scary" for the little baby. Good job Hitchcock! Bill RObinson, Genius at Work

Summary: "A boy's best friend is his mother"
Review: And a movie lover's best friend must surely be Alfred Hitchcock. This film is perfect, every shot, every word, every time that wonderful and scary soundtrack comes playing just to take your breath away, one of the best movies of all time it's a must for any movie lover or anyone who demands quality, and it's not only a movie about a maniac whith a knife, it's intelligent, emotive, perfectly done, with a faultless plot and wonderful performances. Of course the direction is more than perfect, Alfred Hitchcock proves that he is a genius, probably the greatest genius in movie history. Watch it, feel it, enjoy it and please lock your bathroom's door...

Summary: "Sometimes we all go a little mad, havn't you?"
Review: PSYCHO IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST MOVIE EVER! There has never been a better made film. Everything was well done, the acting, the editing, the script. Psycho is my favorite movie, and my inspitation for my own directing and screenwriting. Everyone who rated this movie 5 stars, way to go! AND FOR THOSE OF WHO WHO RATED IT ONLY 1 STAR AND 3 STARS, MAYBE YOU BETTER GROW UP AND BE MORE INTELLUCTUAL. I'M SORRY YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PLOT, BECAUSE YOU ONLY RELY ON BLOOD AND GORE FOR THRILLS. Everyone should buy this movie, it is worth every single penny.

Summary: The 'Psycho' Review
Review: A classic! This is the story of a secretary who steals $40,000 from her company. She stays at the creepy Bates Motel and killed in the infamous 'shower scene'. This movie is good because of the excellent photography and seamless directing. Should be watched by anyone who can appreciate film.

Summary: The Greatest Horror Film of all Time
Review: Pyscho is a brilliant Hitchcock masterpiece. It is emotionally complex and riveting. The shower scene is the most awesome murder ever filmed. Pyscho is a film that can be watched over and over, with the viewer getting something new from it each time.
