Rating: Summary: one of my all-time favorites!!! Review: I've seen almost all of Hitch's movies and this is my absolute favorite-- and one of my all-time favorite movies. It's got it all: great cast, great story, and classic Hitch suspense!
Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Made! The best of Hitchcock! Review: this is one of the best films ever made. i sugjest, for those who haven't seen any other films by Hitchcock, Psycho, Vertigo and the Lady Vanishes. Of course all of his other films are brilliant but those are good for a start!
Rating: Summary: Hitchcock's Work of Art Review: I have seen Rear Window at least a dozen times, and I consider it my favorite of Hitchcock's films. I have been searching for months for a copy and I've read that they are remastering it and releasing it sometime later this year. I can't wait for it to come out! This movie is definitely cinema at its best! I wish they would make more movies like this one. If anyone is looking for a movie to watch...this is a must see!!!
Rating: Summary: the best yet Review: This is my all time fave movie, altho I haven't been able to buy it, I look forward to seeing it whenever I can. The plot is so intriguing.
Rating: Summary: Hitch at his best. Review: Better than Psycho? Better than N by NW? Better than Vertigo? Yes, yes, and probably, respectively. You, the viewer, are instantly involved form the opening scene with the raising of the window shades - to reveal the apartment building across from yours/Jeffries' (Stewart). Hitchcock works his magic and has you glued to the screen: trucks toward the window and zooms to a tighter view of the neighbors' building (Did you notice the Midtown skyline in the background?), next we cut to a cat walking up the stairs to our right and pan all surroundings, yeah, we can see in windows, we can see the pigeons on the roof top, the little alley way to the left, the balconies...it's all there, and we only see it because Hitchcock chooses to show it to us - what detail. Hitch is the MASTER. And I'm looking at the cropped-to-fit-my-damn-square-television version, CAN I GET A WIDESCREEN VERSION? A+, 5 stars, bring it back to the theater.
Rating: Summary: exciting Review: I first saw this film when I was seven; since that day I have seen it again and again - I think ten times - but the suspence is always at the top! In two words: exciting and elegant!
Rating: Summary: My all-time favorite Hitchcock film! Review: I first saw this movie when I was about 12-years old, and I thought it was incredible! Thirty years later my opinion hasn't changed in the least! The suspense in this one is illustrative as to why Hitchcock is considered a genius! And the casting is brilliant! Not only is this one of Hitchcock's best, it's one of American cinema's all-around greatest films! Why they felt they had to re-make this one using Christopher Reeve is beyond me! I mean, why tamper with perfection?
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Movie! One of my fav Movies! Review: Everyone that has commented on this film has wanted to buy it. The movie, I have been informed, is currently being rereleased later this year. The studio is remastering it because the film had poor color, poor sound etc. I can't wait for it to be out on video!!!
