Summary: Been there, done that
Review: Fan that I am of the show, this film felt like a retread designed to bring in new viewers for the show. There was really nothing there that delighted or surprised me, a long time viewer. It had its moments, but in the final analysis was very disappointing and forced. You could almost hear the writers going down the checklist: "OK, we've got grey aliens, black oil, bees, clones--"

Duchovney and Anderson were great on the big screen, but the plot yawed between rehashes of things I'd already seen and outright silliness, and was marred by frequent plot holes you could have driven a truck through. How do these people get from one place to another so fast? Teleportation?

It was also clear that it was made by people who have never strayed too far from sunny LA. Haven't they heard of hypothermia? Frostbite? And did it strike anyone else as strange that for all the snow vehicles they showed, there were no tracks leading out from the compound? Not that there's anywhere to go in the part of Antarctica they showed on the map.

That being said, I hope they do another movie, but I also hope they let some like Darin Morgan write it. And get Nick Lea in on it in some significant way. Quit teasing us, CC!

Summary: Well Manicured Man had a cool death...
Review: What sucks about the movie: They made Dallas look like a dessert. There are no mountains around here at all. Some hills in Cedar Hill but not that big. Dallas is very developed and has lots of greenery. Also the building that blew up doesn't exist. (right across the building I work in in the movie)

I must say all around this is a very good movie since it is like another episode but longer and has much better effects. I like the way that Well Manicured Man died too. It was a good idea not to reveal too much in this movie since you would not have too much to look forward to in season 6, 7 or future movies. It gives you more of your favorite characters (mine at least): Mulder, Scully, Cigarette Smoking Man, Well Manicured Man, the Elders, etc. I was kind of disappointed that Scully wouldn't look up to see the UFO, but that is her character and they stook to it. Buy this movie! Hope Criterion Collection will do it too later on! Would be awesome! Let's look forward to another season and some more movies. Spoiler btw: Chris Owens is returning as Agent Spender in Biogenesis this season. Didn't look like he had a bullet proof vest. Maybe he miraculously survived like Pusher. Would be cool if he gets shot again in the finale (probably just a dream sequence with him though writing about this in a review for the movie; lol)

Summary: Well thought out yet somewhat anti-climactic
Review: This film was a great idea in theory but it was ruined by the downgrade to the small screen. Chris Carter needs to stick to the Silver screen or the small screen. The X-Files can't live on both ends or the plots will be saturated with cliches. This movie was a great piece but the ailens didn't really add anything new to the overall plot. The Final Disclosure episode had more drama than this. This DVD is worth buying just for the extras. Buy it if you like the X-Files, if not... rent it and then decide if you want to own it.

Summary: Action packed all the way!!
Review: I love the series and the movie was fantastic. The special effects especially the Antartic scene just blew me away. But the best bit were some of the dialogue scenes between Mulder & Scully. This movie is a must for all X-Philes or any person who likes adventure or sci-fi.

Summary: I AM IN LOVE WITH DAVID DUCHOVNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Well, what is there to say about the X-Files to give enough credit where it is due? It is a great series and a terrific movie. I think that anyone who is interested in the possibilities of governmental scams will find this movie WELL worth the watching time. Even if you aren't interested in the series, the movie provides you with enough information on the plot idea to allow you to enjoy the movie without destroying imaginative thinking. Mr. Duchovny and Mrs. Anderson performed well in the movie, as is expected from their adoring X-Philes. An interesting opinion: without Gil and David as the main characters of the X-Files, the series and movie would just not be as interesting. It is important to give credit to Chris Carter for his outstanding performance in creating the whole thing. Who wouldn't find it interesting to think that the government could actually have a conspiracy hiding paranormal phenomena from the world? After watching this movie and being dedicated to the week-night re-runs and Sunday episodes, I am devoting my future life to becoming an FBI agent or an actress, just to get to meet David. Like all other teenage girls, I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM. HE IS THE HOTTEST MAN EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: A movie for everyone...
Review: Chris Carter did an excellent job of bringing the X-Files to the big screen. In order to watch and enjoy the movie you do not have to watch every episode of the show. Sure, X-Files fans will enjoy it the most since they understand what purity is and know more about the characters. This movie, however, was made so that anyone could enjoy it. Several of my friends had never watched the X-Files, but they all enjoyed the film very much, labeling it as the best film of the summer. That shows that they did an excellent job. My friends view many movies. I admit that I didn't start watching the show until a few weeks before the movie so I didn't know as much as the early loyal viewers, but I loved the movie still. I had watched it here and there since season 3, but half way through season 5 I have watched every episode since. I purchased the seven waves, the four soundtracks, the DVD, the X-Files toys by Todd McFarlane, and the movie on home video. I may have the movie already, but I have forced myself not to watch it anymore until I get my DVD so it is a whole new experience once again. Buy it! If you do not, at least watch it. I must warn you that you will be hooked to the X-Files after watching the movie and an episode or two (Tunguska and Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man being the best overall).

Review: I thought it was cool because I like Sci Fi stuff and I also like scary movies. I enjoyed the movie.

Summary: Predictable, lame remake of the series.
Review: This movie is a remake of the series. It is fairly predictable and you almost always know what will happen next. The bee and alien scenes were excellent but effects could have been better. In short the movie is lame most of the time and I would suggest watching the TV series.
