Summary: An intense and cinematically powerful movie.
Review: Oliver Stone has done it again. This movie certainly has it all. A great cast, bold cinematography, and a maverick director at his most autonomous. Although the critical establishment has not looked favorably at this movie (they've been too busy praising Titanic), one can clearly see the merit it beholds. One of Stone's objectives here is to shock the audience. However, he accomplishes this task with much finesse that in in vivid contrast to the in-your-face mechanical shock tactics used by many of today's so called indie directors. A must see!

Summary: A little predictable but otherwise good
Review: Upon watching U-Turn,I immediately found it predictable.Sean Penn plays Bobby Cooper,a man from "Detroit,Chicago,Miami" also somewhat of a deadbeat punk who had two fingers amputated because of a debt owed to a bookie.This movie has colorful characters such as a sultry Jennifer Lopez,loathsome Billy Bob Thornton,greedy Nick Nolte,idiotic Clare Danes as well as Joaquin Phoenix.This is just a plain ol' entertaining movie especially if you like Oliver Stone unlike me.

Review: Definately a movie worth checking out if you like turns & twists. I wasn't a huge Oliver Stone fan before this one, but have decided to check out some of his other works now because of this.

Summary: A tawdry web of deceit, lust, and tragedy.
Review: It all starts when Bobby Cooper drives into Superior, Arizona. Certain car parts are broken. The owner seems kinda shady. But young reckless Bobby gives him the keys and heads for the diner, promising to come back. He walks down the street when a mysterious blind man asks him for a coke. Bobby gives him the drink when he sees a beautiful spanish brunette walking down the street heading for her car, carrying a load of boxes. He offers to carry her boxes and does so. She offers to drive him home to take a shower (hint, hint) and get a glass of lemonade(HINT, HINT!). After the shower she walks to him barefoot and asks him to hold her while she is putting up drapes. She finishes the deed and without warning, she jumps down and kisses him passionately. They are on the couch about to make love when her HUSBAND barges in on them. That's when all hell breaks loose. Grace (the hispanic brunette), and Jake (the husband) each ask Bobby to kill each other. There's much betrayal,profanity, nudity and sex in this movie but I'm sure you will enjoy it. This movie has an all star cast with Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, Jennifer Lopez, Claire Danes,Jon Voight, and a cameo by Liv Tyler. Watch it and drool! (Jennifer lopez is naked!)

Review: The best movie of 1998 by far. If you are sick and tired of the predictable in movies and enjoy terrible twists and unforgettable uturns then this is the one. If you enjoyed The Game then this movie will give you another thrill, one you won't forget. Not for the faint of heart! Twisted individuals need only attempt viewing.

Summary: Definately worth seeing if you like black comedies.
Review: Only a step below Pulp Fiction or the Usual Suspects. It's dark but fun. Great plot, great characters, great cast, excellent acting. I would really rate it a 4.5 stars. It should have been a little shorter. No other complaints.

Summary: A poor, irritating imitation of "Red Rock West"
Review: I bought this film based on several critic's favorable reviews. I was very disapointed with it because: 1) the film is cut in a annoyingly jerky manner, 2) all of the characters are two-dimensional and lack any development, 3) the performances are unnecessarily over the top, and 4) all of the flashbacks are scenes we have seen already, making them completely unnecessary. I couldn't wait for this one to end.

Summary: My husband and I both thought it was great!
Review: Penn was brillian and deserved an academy award. It is a rather black comidy but we can not understand why it was not as big as Pulp Fiction or some of the others. Anyway we loved it and have purchased it for our DVD library and will watch and enjoy it many times. END
