Rating: Summary: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!!! Review: If I could give this movie 0 stars, I would have. Don't even bother watching this. Total waste of talent around here. Woody and Gina are just too good to be a movie like this.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Movie of All Time Review: In my opinion if your gonna buy a DVD you want it to stand the test of time. And after numerous viewings, this film just gets better. There are so many suttle dashes of greatness that this movie made me a fan of Woody, Chloe, and director Volker Schlondorff forever. This film envelopes you and you get so involved that you swear your in the Humid, Tropical, Sexyness that is Palmetto.

Rating: Summary: Elizabeth shue....yum.... Review: Let's be honest here as to my reasons for buying this dvd, Elizabeth Shue. The trailers made the movie look like it could be alright or possibly very very bad, and it bombed at the box office which did not put me in a rush to see it. But then when I saw it on dvd at a decent price, the fact that it had elizabeth shue in a seductress role made it well worth it to me, and gina gershon in it was a bonus. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie upon viewing, as I had expected it to be utter garbage. It's a decent mystery type with a few twists here and there, but in the end it feels like they tacked on a few things just for the sake of twisting the plot around. Performances are decent, Shue is a goddess as always. :) Picture quality is good to slightly above average, sound is average. Not much in the way of extras. If you're a Shue fan or wanting a decent thriller then give it a shot, otherwise try renting first.
Rating: Summary: A steamy tale of greed and murder Review: This is a male-ID flick (definitely NOT a "chick flick") with Woody Harrelson as a jaded small town Florida newspaper reporter just released from false imprisonment having his choice of three sexy babes and a fake kidnaping scheme. He tries all four with varying degrees of enthusiasm, but of course makes no real move on the underaged kidnapee, played very sexily by Chloe Sevigny, who calls his lack of initiative "a shame." This steamy tale of greed and murder overcomes an unlikely plot thanks to her, Woody, Gina Gershon and Elisabeth Shue who keep us interested.Shue plays a psychopathically sensual murderess with a studied lack of consistency, as though discovering the interpretation in medias res. Her final scene coming down the staircase a la Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard (1950) seems more than a bit contrived, as is the tentative voice-over frame from Woody via Joe Gillis from the same classic movie. Still, Shue, as always, is better than a drunken sailor's dream.
Rating: Summary: Feel the Florida Heat Review: This is a surprisingly fun film to watch. You can virtually feel the humidity of Florida from the screen. Woody Harrelson is at his least annoying. Elizabeth Shue is a pleasure to look at, and is actually a quite good actress (Notwithstanding "The Saint"). Gina Gershon is her usual sultry self. The joy of this film is, in my opinion, the cinematography. The picture is gorgeous to watch. That cinematography makes up for a forgettable, far-fetched plot which takes far too long to develop. Because the plot was so forgettable, it was hard to rate this film. However, the cinematography won me over. If you buy this film, buy it for Shue and the cinematography.

Heat, murder, comedy, and there is an element of fantasy that makes me want to see this movie when I want to escape. Buy It!!! Make more movies like this one Hollywood. And make more in Florida.
